2. Accomplishments
Working with star director Bill Stele, we have expanded Woods Bagot company into most of Australian
cities and Asia. Under Bill Stele management and my design input the company become financially very
successful and the additional resources were reinvested into a professional quality of people we have
employed in all new office locations.

Mr Bill Stele optimistic personality motivated not only me but the whole office attitude and beyond .The
initial stage of all projects, ,where we listen to client achieved detailed and comprehensive brief early to
help us produce concept within budget and another happy client.

Responsibilities
as a person representing top Australian architectural practice, my role was a . challenge at the beginning
as we are usually advised not to go to bed with a developer as such. At the end it only added to my
experience in space design and interior architecture The artistic quality of Thai artisan is still now in
demand in Asia.

The Woods Bagot expansion to Bangkok gave me vast exposure to Asian residential market in scale and
in a quality of execution demanded by Asian elite.

Responsibilities
In Asia Australian companies assemble new team members on a short term contract which may require
more than talent but a lot of interpersonal skill and actually we are representing Australia, its culture and
more .As an invited Concept Design architect I produced master plan, concept physical model
presentation report for clients board of directors and then, in working drawings stage ,I was involved in
a transfer of technical information and concept idea to local architectural teams prior and during
construction.
Accomplishments
Some of the most successful projects in Asia for Stephenson and Turner Architects were Shatin Hospital
in Hong Kong and GVH 23 story hospital in Taipei .The two and the Medical University of Taiwan in
Taipei were all of a very large budget of more than half of a billion dollars and very successful even
today.

Hospitals and medical facilities are highly complex and large in its scale. The large client body usually
include up to 26 departmental heads .Language is not barrier as Asian clients are generally overeducated
for the task .Every finished project give an Australian team member more confidence and prepare them
well for the next experience in social science like situation. Our freedom given to us in the Asian context
help us with a creativity and in our dealing with very demanding clients.

Yuncken Freeman was an office with a very well organized design process from concept to execution .I
was always part of the concept search and review process with a culmination in presentation and
acceptance by the client before the design development stage of the project took a stage.
Accomplishments
In my early days after arrival to Melbourne, I worked with outstanding and prominent directors like Barry
Patten and Roy Simpson, with the first project to be the BHP HQ 42 story office tower conceived with
SOM Chicago architects.
Skills Used
As a top Australian architectural company at that time, we were expected to be innovative and
imaginative with the aesthetics of proportions and materials used on the level of top international
standard.

recognition from our clients , relevant professional bodies and the public. Projects done by Yuncken
Freeman are now listed in Victoria and South Australia.

During my University time I have participate in a professional textbook publication with Professor
Samanek of two volumes - Landscaping Design and Documentation.

.In the process of studying for Fellowship Diploma. in Business Administration in RMIT I visited three
large and successful architectural practices in each of 7 major USA cities to research in detail
professional office advanced management and design process.
Short term only as a visiting tutor in Adelaide University but actually constantly in touch with academia in
Australia and Asia, including Wasada University in Tokio.
