Introduction
• Youth is consciousness of power- power to GROW,
power to CONCEIVE infinitely, and to BRING FORTH
UNLIMITEDLY that which the soul desires. Probably
the happiest period in life most frequently is in age,
when the eager passions of are cooled, and the
informative of age not yet begun; as we see that the
shadows, which are at morning and evening so large,
almost entirely disappear at midday.
What is Youth Unrest?
• Unrest can be defined as a restless mind or state of
mental disturbance caused by the continued non-
achievement of expectation of youth.
• The process highlighted in this work that of barring
youth from full social participation- is imminent in
modern, industrialized societies, educational
psychological and political aspects of youth unrest,
and the contributions to this volume point out that
youth unrest is inevitable reaction of the young who
are pushed into a social structure formed for them
by their elders
Quality of youth
• Youth have many qualities :
• Youth is power
• Youth is energetic
• Youth is creative
• Youth is hard worker
• Youth is passion
• Youth is innocence
CONTINUE….
• Youth is unselfish
• Youth is organized
• Youth is patient
• Youth is trained
• Youth is strong
• There are many more qualities of youth. We
can not explain it in one word.
Positives sides of youth..
‘Youth is the power’, ’youth is the maker’,
‘youth is destroyer’.
• If we keep apart the last quotation, youth is the only
soil to rescue the boat of a nation from any calamity.
From the primitive history the youth class has taken
the charge to set free nation.
• Youths played many important roles in the past and
they are still playing many important roles.
YOUTH IN HISTORY
• In the past youth played a central role to established
our language, to free our country from enemies, to
help our government to compensate of liberation
war.
• For youth unrest, now we are living in a democratic
country.
Youth in Revolution
• The history of the achievement by the youth can be
started with the Soldier Revolution in 1857, which can
be said as the first attempt of organized forces for
freedom. This event was totally led by the young
soldiers to achieve their demands as well as to set the
subcontinent free.
• With relation to the Solder Revolution we got. Earnest
endeavors, swadeshi, dandi chalo. Though these
footprints to our liberty were delineated by Mahatma
Gandhi but his followers were mostly young generation
and those were they by whom the insanity of liberty
culminated. And these mischances gave birth too many
of the other revolutions
Language Movement or Bhasha
Andolon :
• If we now come to the history of Bangladesh and
Bengali language we will see, the history of
Bangladesh is actually composed by the young
generation. Mainly young’s have kept them into the
oar’s end whenever any course has showed on the
Bengali nation , which started with the ‘Bhasha
Andolon’ in 1952 by which we actually got our
Bengali language as a recognized one and our this
Bengali language can be called as a gift from some
flourishing novices like Salam, Rafiq, Barkat, Jabbar
and so on.
1969 mass upsurg
• Then the background of our liberation war that is the
‘ Gono Obvutthan’ in 1969 was depicted by the
young’s. It consisted of a series of mass
demonstrations and sporadic conflicts between
government armed forces and the young
demonstrators. The uprising also led to the
withdrawal of Agartala Conspiracy Case and
acquittal of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his
colleagues from the case.
The Liberation War:
• The great Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
Though the participation of people in this revolution
was spontaneous and indiscriminate but the vital
role was played by the young’s. And afterwards the
anti-anarchy revolution by the young people. And
today, for them we are living in a democratic country.
Youth in present
• In present youths are more active than before.
• They are the sunray that removes all the darkness.
• They are creating many organization to help the
people.
• Youths are taking many steps to develop our country.
• They are agitating for rights.
• Now we are describing the activities of youth.
Youth in blood bank
• There are many Blood Banks like Quantum Blood
Bank, Red Crescent Society, Sandhani Blood Bank,
Badhon etc which are controlled by the youth.
• They encourage people in donating blood.
• By these blood bank, youths help people in their
dangerous situation.
Youth in political issues
• Youth is harbinger of any change. It's particularly true
of democratic transition and consolidation. Our
democratic revival in 1990 was achieved mainly
through widespread student movement. After the
great liberation war Young’s have changed our
political views, and they are still fighting for the
judgment of War Criminal. They are giving their
opinions in political issues. They are agitating against
corruption. BUET unrest is one of the examples.
Youth in removing illiteracy
• Illiteracy is an obstacle to the development of any
country.
• Youths are trying to remove illiteracy from
Bangladesh.
• They are starting to educate the street children in
towns.
• They have taken steps to spread the light of literacy
in villages too.
• Nowadays Adult people are also getting this
opportunity.

• We use internet which is completely controlled by
the youth. The whole IT sector is controlled by the
youth. They are also successful in programming,
animation, web development etc.
• Bangladesh getting an innovative identity by
freelancing works. There are most of the freelancer is
Bangladeshi. Facebook is a different communicating
system by youth. And it is getting very popularity
right now at this world.
Youth in other sectors
• More over, youth are doing others activities too.
• They are contributing in many sectors of our
country.
• They are trying to decrease unemployment problem.
• Trying to remove poverty.
• Serving to the poor people.
• Now they also taking some steps to reduce traffic
jam.
• They are fighting for human rights.
Negative sides
• Besides positive sides, youths have some
negative sides too.
• Now day’s youth are destroying day by day.
• Youths are taking drugs, doing crimes,
snatching, stealing, murdering, raping etc.
• For example, Bishwajit murder, throwing Acid
to EDEN girls, raping the immature girl.
Some causes of youth unrest
• There are some reason behind the youth unrest. The
reasons are:
• Defective Educational System

determination and exactions of strategies.
They can create world free of poverty,

man by man, a world free of discrimination on
the grounds of race, color, language and
gender, a world full of creative challenges and
