2. WRITTEN SUBMISSION OF THE CAMPAIGN
We create interactive website where users
can become a „new human species“ –
homo respectus – by sharing their thought
about gay marriage on social networks. We
are not going to force them to decide
immediately whether to support the same-
sex marriage, or not, but we’re going to ask
them to show they are willing to think
about such topic.
We are going to increase webtraffic by
using tweaked Pinterest search bar and
opinion sharing on other networks like
Facebook and Twitter to create buzz and
open discussion. This will effortlessly create
an inexpensive channel with easy to
remember title and hashtag. Become
#homorespectus!
We intentionally used clean and simplistic
design to make users comfortable while
dealing with such a sensitive matter and to
create a contrast to usual Prague Pride’s
visuals.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Study shows that over 65 % of Czech
population is unsure how to feel about gay
marriages . Even though the people tend to
be tolerant towards gay people, they are
not openly supportive and don’t take their
struggle for equal rights into consideration.
They are frequently intimidated by overly
cheerful and colorful outlook of gay
parades and campaigns.
In recent internet user research Pinterest
ranked as a third most used social network
in Czechia after Facebook and Twitter.
Our analysis shows that wedding related
topics are among top searched on Pinterest
by users over 30 years. Most of these users
are women that are more prone to publicly
share their feelings and opinions on social
networks while trying to create, like any
other users, a good online self-promotion.

WRITTEN SUBMISSION OF THE CAMPAIGN We create interactive website where users can become a „new human species“ – homo respectus – by sharing their thought about gay marriage on social networks. We are not going to force them to decide immediately whether to support the same- sex marriage, or not, but we’re going to ask them to show they are willing to think about such topic. We are going to increase webtraffic by using tweaked Pinterest search bar and opinion sharing on other networks like Facebook and Twitter to create buzz and open discussion. This will effortlessly create an inexpensive channel with easy to remember title and hashtag. Become #homorespectus! We intentionally used clean and simplistic design to make users comfortable while dealing with such a sensitive matter and to create a contrast to usual Prague Pride’s visuals. WHAT IS YOUR SOLUTION? (Max 150 words) Study shows that over 65 % of Czech population is unsure how to feel about gay marriages . Even though the people tend to be tolerant towards gay people, they are not openly supportive and don’t take their struggle for equal rights into consideration. They are frequently intimidated by overly cheerful and colorful outlook of gay parades and campaigns. In recent internet user research Pinterest ranked as a third most used social network in Czechia after Facebook and Twitter. Our analysis shows that wedding related topics are among top searched on Pinterest by users over 30 years. Most of these users are women that are more prone to publicly share their feelings and opinions on social networks while trying to create, like any other users, a good online self-promotion.
