Why we begin so early……
According to the United States Department
of Education, when it comes to helping your
student plan for college and career, “preparation
is the key to success, and preparing for success
in college and careers should start as early as

Year 7 goals
During year 7, students will meet with University and Career
counsellors various times during PSHE sessions to:
 Set goals for the year
 Understand how they learn best

Year 8 goals
During year 8, students will meet with University and Career
counsellors for PSHE sessions in order to:
 Define what success means to them
 Understand how certain careers match their personalities

Year 9 goals
During year 9, students will:
 meet with University and Career counsellors various times
during PSHE sessions about transition into “high school”
 Understand admissions testing for university and college
 Discover careers more in depth

IGCSE and university
 The IGCSE is recognized throughout the world
 More than 210 schools in the US offer IGCSE
programs
 Hundreds of schools worldwide use IGCSE
curriculum

IBDP and university
 The IB is accepted by colleges and universities
throughout the world
 Students can earn college credit for classes
take at both the SL and HL at many schools in
various countries
