The first step of my design process involved using Pinterest to find the above logos and
use them as inspiration. The client specified that 3D Agency is a company that offers
high end services and its target audience is other businesses. With this in mind, I decided
that 3D Agency’s branding should pertain to a premium, exclusive aesthetic. The logos
above demonstrate this type of style very well. I particularly like the ‘Cactus Digital’ logo
and the way the designer has used a composition of isometric shapes to create a larger
Cactus shape. I experiment with this style of design later on in the design process.
Below are examples of some of the logos I designed, based off of the research I
conducted.
With this logo idea I wanted to emphasise the 3D quality
of the company, by using an isometric grid. I wanted to
recreate a similar kind of effect as the design to the far
left, but the outcome of this experimentation didn’t satisfy
this style of design.

Once I was satisfied with the sketches I had made, I moved onto creating mockups of
these using photoshop.
After presenting Kemma’s logo, on
the left, to the class, we received
feedback stating that the logo didn’t
flow together well. Our lecturers
found that the lines were too
separated and needed adjusting. To
attempt to remedy this, I created the
logo on the right. I used a gradient
to emphasise the flowing quality of
the logo, removed some of the lines
and joined some lines together.
This wasn’t the logo that we used
for our final outcome, but I am still
happy with the outcome of this
logo.
Web Design
Audi We aren’t plastic
Once we had found some suitable logos on Pinterest, we then moved on to looking at
the designs of other websites. The above images greatly inspired our sketches and
layout plans for the design of the web site. We especially liked the Audi website’s use
of a cyan blue accent colour to complement other elements on the page, such as the
imagery of the cars. The We Aren’t Plastic website in the second image influenced
greatly on the design structure. From here we started to wireframe our own
interpretations of what the website layout will look like and how images and text will be
displayed. View below.
Branding Guidelines
Branding Guidelines
All designs will cohere to a set of branding guidelines we will develop from choice of colors, logo,
typography and use of images. In which, it will specify how the colors, logo, and images are all
supposed to be used and displayed and in what layout and fashion. These guidelines will specify
how any further updates or expansions to the website or type of marketing material can be
undertaken. We will also detail the company's manifesto in terms of identity, ethos, and mission.
Conclusion
Conclusion
In conclusion, we will create brand guidelines that outline the specifications
to which we will design a logo, website and accompanying marketing
material as detailed above per request of the client brief given. All of which
is projected to be done in March based on the current progress and how we
predict the project will go. Below is the current proposed project timeline.
