3. VOCABULARY
Noun and Verb game
Look at these lists of nouns and verbs. Pick one from each and try to make
a sentence using the words (you can change the tenses of the words).
Nouns Verbs
bread stole
food slammed
boy jumped
jail vanished
E.g. Jailed for stealing bread, the bars of the prison door slammed behind the boy and
he was not be seen again by his family for seven years.. (Don’t forget capital letters and
full stops)
4. There are different ways to open a
sentence. One is ‘ly’ starters
e.g. – Intelligently, the famous
Dutch explorer Dirk Harthog
decided to leave behind a plate, so
people knew he had been to
Australia.
