Has it been created in a representational way or in an abstract manner? Is thesubject matter symbolic in any way? Are there hidden meanings in the photograph? Form What kind of colour scheme has been used? Is it realistic, harmonious or contrasting? Is there one predominant colour? Is there one overall shape or a series of interrelated shapes? Are there recurrent shapes, lines or forms? Does thework have a variety of patterns and textures? Describe thecomposition of thephotograph? Describe thelighting effects in the photography? How does light effect thephotograph? What typeof light do you think has been used to create this photograph? Process How was the work made and what was was it made with? Describe what materials, lighting techniques and processes were used? How and where might the photographer have started the work? Do you think the photographs was made in a studio or somewhere else? Do you think that the work was executed rapidly or did it evolve slowly? What skills must thephotographer have employed to produceit? What typeof camera do you think has been used to create this photograph?( find out when thephotograph was created and the types of cameras that were being used at the time) How would you go about creating your own images in thestyleof this photographer? Mood Does thework affect you in any way?How? Does it capture a mood, feeling or emotion? In what ways? Does it convey feelings about life and nature? Describe. Is thework calm/loud, joyful/sorrowful, calming /disturbing? Explain the mood or atmospherecreated. What techniques has the photographer used to convey the mood? Describe the methods.
