2. District Action Group for Women Empowerment was
established on 22 February 2022 during Dato' Bindi
Rajasegaran's governorship.
However, it all started with a women fellowship
group Voice of Influence (VOI) under the District
Committee for Women Empowerment. The maiden
initiative under this Committee was the Health Card
for Women, a collaboration with KPJ Damansara
Specialist.
Overview
3. The first major endeavor under District Action
Group for Women Empowerment was in
establishing the Women Empowerment
Funds, with funds raised totaling to
RM102,500 and supported by Yayasan Kelab-
Kelab Rotary Malaysia on 27 March 2022.
To date (as at June 2023) 20 Rotary Clubs,
corporations and individuals have contributed
a total of RM112,000 to WEF since the launch.

Men have dominated over women in most areas:
educational aspects, social and workforce and others

7. The median monthly salaries for men have constantly been higher than women since 2010.
This was resulted from an unfairness access of job opportunities between men and women.
