On November 22, 1963 President John F. Kennedy was attending a parade in
Dallas, Texas. During this parade President Kennedy was traveling in a 1961
convertible Lincoln Continental limousine with the top down. President Kennedy
was traveling in the third row passenger side seat of the vehicle, seated to his left
was his wife, Jaqueline. In the second row passenger side seat was Texas Governor
John Connally, seated to his left his wife, Nellie. The vehicle was driven by William
Robert Greer also in the vehicles front passenger seat was Roy Kellerman.
During this parade President Kennedy and Governor Connally and were shot while
traveling through Delany Plaza at approximately 1230 hours. President Kennedy
was struck by two bullets one in the back of the head and one in the rear of his
neck. President Kennedy succumbed to these gunshot wounds and was pronounced
dead at 1300 hours. Governor Connally was struck by one bullet in the back.
Governor Connally survived his injuries despite having a clasp lung. Lee Harvey
Oswald was the primary suspect of this shooting. Due to an admittedly flawed

The story is told of a Father, mother and young son, who were living in the
tenement section of a major city. The father came home at the end of a long, hard
day of work and decided to sit down on the steps to read the paper and rest for a while
before climbing the steps to his apartment.
Suddenly he heard the sound of tires skidding and he could smell the odor of rubber
burning on the pavement. Then he heard that dull thud of an automobile hitting a
body. He ran out into the street and an automobile had struck his own little boy. He
had been knocked unconscious, so the father picked him up and held him in his arms
until the ambulance came. He went with his son to the hospital and sat at his bedside
for thirty six hours, until the boy finally regained consciousness.
When the little boy became conscious, he opened his eyes, but he didn t see
anything that was familiar to him. He looked up the wall and across the ceiling, but
there was nothing up there that he recognized. Then his eyes wandered down the
wall on the other side of the room until they finally found his daddy; the only thing
in the room that was familiar to him and he said, Daddy, where you been ? The

Abstract Recognizing and understanding the evolution of the current celebrity system
through parasocial interaction is the focus of this study. This paper utilized an
empirical generalization literature review through content analysis. For future
research, a qualitative method using a sample survey of fans and celebrities will be
employed. The benefits and drawbacks of the relationship between fans and
celebrities were studied in regard to parasocial interaction. From the literature review,
