It is prophesied that, just before the Second Coming, a one-world religion will be established, demanding the allegiance of every person on earth. Unbeknownst
to many, the formation of this entity has been in the works for years, with great strides taken over the last several months.
It will be a false religion of which true Christians will never want to be a part.

The Need for Godly Men Pt 1 | Cascades Bible ChurchBrent Small
In this sermon podcast on Titus 1:5, Pastor Brent establishes three “pastoral directives” as delivered by Paul to Titus that enable the local church to develop godly leadership.
After visiting the churches on the island of Crete, Paul left behind his ministry partner Titus to further develop these young churches. Paul assigned Titus the task of establishing sound doctrine and godly living in the churches so that they would then possess credible Christian testimonies.
If this mission was to be accomplished Titus had much work to do. In fact Paul tells Titus that he must correct what was lacking, namely, godly leadership. Titus, himself, was to instruct the churches in sound doctrine, model behavior that was in accordance with that doctrine and appoint godly men who could do the same.
The need of the church on Crete was godly men. The need of the local church today is godly men. In this message, Pastor Brent begins a short mini-series on the need for godly men to lead the local church by establishing three “pastoral perspectives” given to Titus by Paul.
God calls pastors through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to serve as ambassadors of Christ. This divine call is personal, preceded by spiritual gifts, and focused on humble service. Though the world may reject them, pastors have a high calling from God to proclaim reconciliation through Jesus as honored representatives of heaven.

Birgit Sauer - Conflicts over values: the issue of Moslem headscarvesARGE Bildungsmanagement
The document discusses conflicts over Muslim headscarves in Europe. It begins by providing context on increasing Muslim immigration to Western European countries and rising Islamophobia. This has led to conflicts over how liberal democracies should deal with religious and cultural differences, as seen through debates over regulating Muslim headscarves. Regulations vary across European countries, with some banning headscarves in public spaces while others tolerate them. The document then analyzes France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria's differing approaches to governing the headscarf issue based on factors like their immigration/integration regimes, state-church relations, and political cultures.
This document provides an overview of publicly funded Islamic education programs in 9 Western countries. It finds that approaches vary significantly based on each country's political and historical context. Some countries like Germany and Austria offer Islamic religious education in public schools, while others like the UK and Sweden teach about Islam academically. France and the US do not provide religious education in schools. Despite differences, the document recommends 3 good practices: 1) high academic standards for teacher training programs, 2) fact-based textbooks, and 3) international exchange to improve practices. Publicly funded Islamic education lies at the intersection of debates around religious freedom, integration, and countering Islamophobia.

Spiritual discouragement is a pitfall that everyone must escape at various points in his or her life. Even if not depressed, we may become disheartened into inaction or ineffectiveness. Study the Bible account of God patiently dealing with Elijah's despair and helping him to overcome. By learning from this example, we can with renewed vigor tackle the challenges that we face.
France has experienced an increase in religious diversity over the past century. While Catholicism remains the majority religion, Islam has become the second largest religion in the country with approximately 4 million followers. Other religions with a significant presence include Buddhism, Judaism, and Protestantism. Secularism is a fundamental principle of the French Republic, requiring neutrality of the state and freedom of religion. However, debates have emerged regarding certain religious practices and symbols in public spaces and schools. This document summarizes a paper about the challenges facing Western European countries in developing policies regarding Islam and Muslim immigrants. It describes the main challenges as the mismatch between Islamic religious structures and Western legal systems, difficulties accommodating various religious obligations, and lack of integration among some Muslim populations. It then provides an overview of the policies and debates around these issues in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The key topics discussed are the separation of church and state, representation of Islamic leadership, integration and social cohesion, and reconciling Islamic and Western values.
Under Napoleon, France experienced significant reforms in several areas:
1) Napoleon established a new education system with primary, secondary, and technical schools, emphasizing obedience and military values.
2) He created the Napoleonic Code which established equality before the law and trial by jury while also restricting women's rights.
3) Napoleon crowned himself Emperor and gained control of the Catholic Church, although he failed to establish lasting democratic reforms and restricted free speech.
This document discusses state religions and secular states. It defines a state religion as a religious body or creed officially endorsed by the state, though the state is not necessarily a theocracy. State religions vary in the degree of state backing and support they receive. Some communist states sponsor official state religions to prevent alternate sources of authority. A secular state does not favor any particular religion and follows civil rather than religious laws. The document provides examples of state religions and policies in different countries and eras.
The document summarizes key aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and proposals for a two-state solution, including:
1) It outlines the histories, narratives and current situations of Israel and Palestine, highlighting economic, military and demographic disparities between the two sides.
2) It discusses peace proposals like the Arab Peace Initiative, Roadmap for Peace, and grassroots initiatives that support a two-state solution with Israel and Palestine based on 1967 borders.
3) International and domestic public opinion polls show majority support for a two-state solution among Israelis and Palestinians, though challenges to the solution remain.

The document discusses several topics:
1) A book review about Israel facing a permanent "cold war" with its Islamist enemies like Hamas and Hezbollah, calling into question whether Israeli concessions will make a difference.
2) Criticism of the UN Human Rights Council for appointing an openly biased professor to implement the biased Goldstone Report on Gaza.
3) Plans by anti-Israel groups to hold another "Durban conference" to delegitimize Israel, and countries boycotting the event.
4) An opinion piece arguing that Israel should admit peace is currently unobtainable and stop pretending the Palestinians are willing partners.
1) Protests are occurring in both the Middle East and Midwest, but for different reasons - in the Middle East they are fighting for democracy, while in the Midwest they are protesting against it.
2) A theologian gave a presentation where he argued that the central message of Christianity is to love God and love your neighbor, not that Jesus died for our sins.
3) An article discusses Egypt's transition to democracy and the role of the Muslim Brotherhood, noting concerns over how this may impact Egypt's relationship with Israel.

Article in The Times of Israel by Andy Blumenthal: In short, the Left is right when it comes to caring about others and the ultimate goal that we all seek, which is genuine and lasting peace and the ability to live side by side as brothers and sisters in peace and prosperity. However, the Left got it all wrong when it comes to the reality on the ground in terms of the radical Islamic groups who want no peace, no negotiation, and no recognition of Israel, period. This is where the hope of the Left met the reality of the Right, and the Left lost all credibility, at least for the time being. Perhaps, just perhaps, reality will change and radical hearts will soften and give peace a fighting chance, allowing the Left to be right as well.
The document discusses several topics related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and politics in Kuwait and the Middle East region more broadly. It includes commentary on historical relations between Nazis and Zionism, the mistreatment of Palestinians by Israel, and political instability in the Arab world stemming from the ongoing Palestinian crisis. It also touches on issues of bedoun rights, infrastructure problems at Kuwait International Airport, and calls for renewed religious guidance of Kuwaiti youth.
The document discusses evidence that the current time period is the end times as described in the Bible, including the ability to dry up the Euphrates River, the emergence of a Chinese army of 200 million soldiers, the development of worldwide numbering systems using technology like computers, and calls for a new world order. It argues that the simultaneous fulfillment of these major biblical prophecies points to divine providence rather than coincidence in determining that this is the last days before Jesus Christ's return.

The document discusses how Zionism has come to dominate the American Jewish community through organizations like the Zionist Organization of America and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee lobbying and exerting strong influence over politicians by delivering bloc votes and campaign donations from Jewish communities concentrated in swing states. It argues that Zionist leaders have deceived American Jews into supporting Israel and confusing humanitarianism with nationalist goals.

This document provides an overview of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and arguments in favor of a two-state solution. It includes demographic data on Israel and Palestine, comparisons of their economies and militaries, summaries of peace initiatives and public opinion polls showing support for two independent states. The document argues that a two-state agreement with Israel and Palestine based on 1967 borders with a shared Jerusalem would be in the national interests of both sides and the United States.
PEACE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND PALESTINE REQUIRES EXTREMISTS OUT OF POWER AND RESTR...Faga1939
This article aims to demonstrate the need for Israeli and Palestinian extremists to be removed from power and for the UN to be restructured so that there is peace between Israel and Palestine. The construction of peace can only happen in the Palestine region if the Jewish people in Israel and throughout the world, as well as the Palestinians, politically repel the extremists who exercise power in their territories and establish governments that seek conciliation between the Jewish and Palestinian peoples. It can be said that there is only one solution to the conflict between Palestine and Israel: on the one hand, Israel needs to accept the constitution of the Palestinian State, seek a fair and negotiated solution regarding Jerusalem and the fate of Palestinian refugees and end the settlements Jews in the West Bank and, on the other, Palestinians need to recognize the State of Israel because neither Palestinians nor Israelis can impose their will on each other. Neither the right-wing extremists who govern Israel nor the Palestinian extremist groups will be able to impose their will by force of arms in Palestine. It is unlikely that the conflict between Palestinians and Jews will be resolved today because existing international institutions are not capable of building a negotiated solution to the conflict between these two peoples and between Israel, Iran and the Arab countries. This means that there is an urgent need to restructure the international system to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine, between Russia and Ukraine and all international conflicts that may occur in the future. The time has come for humanity to promote the construction of world peace and to exercise control over its destiny. To achieve these objectives, it is urgent to restructure the UN with a view to transforming it into a democratic government of the world that constitutes the only means of survival for the human species.
This document summarizes an article from Pew Research Center about opposition to same-sex marriage among evangelical Christians in the United States. It notes that while support for same-sex marriage is growing nationally, opposition remains strong among white evangelical Protestants, about 70% of whom oppose allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry. The article discusses how several religious groups have rallied in Washington D.C. to demonstrate support for traditional marriage. It also provides polling data on changing public opinion on same-sex marriage over the past five years.

4. For the last twenty-five years,
peace negotiations have been conduct-
ed, on again and off again, between
Palestinians and Israelis with the
United States as the chief mediator.
Progress has been almost non-existent.
What the Israelis have offered, the
Palestinians have been unwilling to
accept. What the Palestinians demand-
ed, the Israelis were unwilling to give.
The result? Stalemate. The Palestinians
say they are giving up on negotiations.
The Israelis won’t give them what they
demand and they’re not strong enough
to force Israel’s hand.
But Now Things have Changed
On November 29, 2012 the UN
General Assembly voted to recognize
Palestine as a non-member state.
This enabled the Palestinians to apply
for membership in the International
Criminal Court where they intend to
file criminal charges against Israel and
Benjamin Netanyahu. Their application
for membership was approved on
April 1, 2015.
On December 30, 2014 a reso-
lution was introduced at the UN to
require Israel to withdraw to the
borders as they were before the 1967
War and to surrender east Jerusalem
to the Palestinians for their capital.
Eight members of the Security Council
voted in favor of the resolution, two
voted against and five abstained. If
one of the five abstentions had voted
in favor, the resolution would have
passed. However, the United States
had let it be known that it would use
its veto against the resolution if it had
obtained the necessary votes.
Palestinian leader Mahmoud
Abbas says he will bring the resolution
back to the Security Council, and he
believes this next time it will have the
votes to pass.
Israel vs. the World
Martin Indyk, Obama’s special
envoy to the Middle East, said it best.
“The government that emerges from
the recent elections in Israel had
better move quickly to an agreement
establishing a two-state solution with
the Palestinians or the International
Community will move to impose a
two-state solution.”
Indyk also indicated that the
international action would not be en-
dangered by a U.S. veto, since America
would be a full participant in producing
the international initiative. He added
that he expects this initiative would
be “against Israel’s will”.
Jerusalem Post February 21, 2015
Peace Agreement by Negotiation or
International Action?
A peace agreement is coming. The
only questions are: Will it be by negotia-
tion with the Palestinians? Or will it be
done by a UN resolution arrived at with
the reluctant acceptance of both sides?
What Form will Netanyahu’s New
Government Take?
At press time, the jury was still
out on the form the new Netanyahu
government will take.
Most political pundits say a right-
wing coalition made up of those parties
opposing a two-state solution is most
likely. That coalition, if achieved, would
have a solid majority in the Knesset of
about 67 seats. It takes 61 to establish
a government.
However, there are many political
observers that are predicting Netan-
yahu will turn away from those parties
that would block him from negotiating
a two-state solution to a national unity
government with the liberal Zionist
Union. This would please the Obama
administration to no end and would
immediately put peace negotiations
with the Palestinians back on track.
Will it be a Government of the Left
or of the Right?
In the end, it won’t matter. If
Netanyahu puts a right-wing coalition
together and then a peace deal is of-
fered, some of the coalition members
will probably threaten to bring the
government down. However, the lib-
eral Zionist Union would offer to vote
with Netanyahu in order to see the
agreement implemented.
If a coalition with the left is
formed, the race to a peace agreement
will be on from the outset.
The Bottom Line
Whichever form the new Netanya-
hu government takes, the same thing
will ultimately happen. World pressure
is moving Israel toward a peace agree-
ment with a two-state solution. The
United States is for it. The European
Union is for it. The United Nations is
for it. And half of Israel is for it. A two-
state solution is coming. It’s proph-
esied in the Bible and therefore it will
happen. The only question is: “When”?
What are the Odds?
What are the odds that a peace
deal between Israel and the Palestin-
ians will take place during Netanyahu’s
4th term, which is about to begin?
Probably better than 50–50!
And remember—the coming
agreement will mark the beginning of
the Final Seven Years to the Battle of
Armageddon and the Second Coming
of Jesus Christ! e

8. Vatican II—A Call to Unite!
After Vatican Council II, the
Catholic Church issued two docu-
ments that called for a new era of
interfaith and ecumenical relations,
and that call is very much alive today.
In essence, the church no longer saw
itself in opposition to other faiths.
The goal was to seek a common ground
between the Catholic Church and
other Christian denominations, as
well as other religions.
The first document, “Unitatis
Redintegratio”—The Decree on
Ecumenism (1964), issued a call for
the unity of all Christian churches.
The second, “Nostra Aetate”—The
Declaration on The Relation of The
Church to Non-Christian Religions
(1965), for the first time, encouraged
interreligious dialogue.
As previously stated, this is an
effort by the Catholic Church to unite
every religious entity, both Christian
and non-Christian. The question
is, why?
The goal isn’t to bring Protestants
and those of other religions to salva-
tion. We know this because the church
is declaring that these people are
already saved. For instance, the new
Catholic Catechism, issued in 1994,
states that Muslims are saved:
“The Church’s relationship with
the Muslims. ‘The plan of salvation
also includes those who acknowledge
the Creator, in the first place amongst
whom are the Muslims; these profess
to hold the faith of Abraham, and
together with us they adore the one,
merciful God, mankind’s judge on the
last day.’”1
However, Muslims deny that Jesus
was God or that He died on the cross.
Remember that global leaders see
the unification of the religions of the
world as a solution to global religious
conflicts. At this point, conflicting
doctrines are seen as a stumbling block
to the ultimate goal of a world govern-
ment. Hence the quest for unity, by
the Catholic Church, that is still being
promoted today!
Pope Francis’ Quest for Unity
While serving as Cardinal Jorge
Mario Bergoglio in Argentina, Pope
Francis sought to promote both
interfaithism and ecumenism by forg-
ing relationships with Muslims, Jews
and Anglicans. During that time, he
endorsed what later became known to
some as the “Argentine Model”, which
based all interreligious dialogue on
friendships rather than theological
agreement.2
It is this same belief sys-
tem that Pope Francis is now attempt-
ing to implement on a global scale.
One of Pope Francis’ Anglican
acquaintances was Tony Palmer.
Mr. Palmer was a British-born South
African evangelical minister who later
became a priest and then a Bishop of
the Communion of Evangelical Episco-
pal Churches (CEEC).
It was on a trip to South America,
while working with the Catholic
Church in the Catholic Charismatic
and Evangelical Renewal Movement,
that Mr. Palmer met Cardinal Jorge
Bergoglio, who eventually became one
of his spiritual fathers. In 2009, before
the election of Pope Francis, Palmer ac-
tually considered becoming a member
of the Catholic Church through the
“ordinariate”. However, fearing that
this move would make Palmer ap-
pear too Catholic, Cardinal Bergoglio
advised him against it because he saw
Palmer as a future “bridge-builder”
between Catholics and evangelical
Christians.3
A few short years after meeting
Palmer, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergo-
glio was elected Pope on March 13,
2013 and assumed the name Pope
Francis. Just like his predecessors, he
continued the Catholic Church’s quest
to unite with not only non-Christian
religions, but also with the world’s
different Christian denominations as
decreed at Vatican II.
January 2014 – Miracle of Unity
In January of 2014, Tony Palmer
met with Pope Francis in Rome. Mr.
Palmer informed the Pope that he was
to attend a large meeting of evangeli-
cal leaders in Fort Worth, Texas the
following week. As a result, Mr. Palmer
recorded a video of Pope Francis on his
iPhone, to be shown at the conference.
At the meeting held in Kenneth
Copeland’s facility, just ahead of the
video presentation, Mr. Palmer gave
a very rousing speech concerning the
unity of the Catholic and Protestant
evangelical churches.
He began by saying that he had
made a covenant with Pope Francis
to work together for the unity of the
“church”. This statement was follow-
ed by his definition of the Catholic
Church’s history and the various
denominational splits that have oc-
curred over the last several hundred
years. However, according to Palmer, it
is necessary that the doctrines which
originally separated these churches
now be set aside in the name of church
unity because, as he stated, “…it is
the Glory that glues us together, not
our doctrine.”
His absolute goal for this meet-
ing of mega-church leaders, as a
bridge-builder, was to reconcile these
reformed institutions back to the
original Mother Church.
Toward the end of his speech,
Mr. Palmer proclaimed that his meet-
ing with Kenneth Copeland and the
other ministers was a historic one. He
referenced the signing of a joint dec-
laration of faith between the Catholic
Church and both the World Federa-
tion of Lutheran churches (1999) and
Worldwide Methodist Church (2006),
which supposedly brought an end to
the Protestant movement.
In 1517, Martin Luther believed
“I challenge my Protestant
pastor friends, if there is no more
protest, how can there be a
Protestant Church? Maybe now
we are all Catholics again?”
Bishop Tony Palmer
8 www.endtime.com MAY/JUNE 2015
9. that individuals were saved by grace
through faith alone, while the Catho-
lic Church taught that people were
saved by their works. This led to the
Protestant Reformation. According to
Mr. Palmer, the joint declaration of
faith married the two definitions and
ended the Protestant dispute with this
statement, “Together we confess: By
grace alone, in faith in Christ’s saving
work and not because of any merit on
our part, we are accepted by God and
receive the Holy Spirit, who renews
our hearts while equipping and calling
us to good works.”4
After this, he made this ecumeni-
cal challenge to the congregation, “As
of today we have had no Protestant
evangelical that will stand up and sign
this agreement. I believe that is some-
thing that needs to be fixed. There’s a
challenge for you.”
He went on to say, “I challenge
my Protestant pastor friends, if there
is no more protest, how can there be
a Protestant Church? Maybe now we
are all Catholics again? We are not
protesting the doctrine of salvation by
the Catholic Church anymore. We now
preach the same gospel.”
After this, the video was shown
in which Pope Francis asked the Pen-
tecostal ministers to, “Pray to the Lord
that he will unite us all…let’s move
forward, we are brothers; let us give
each other that spiritual embrace and
allow the Lord to complete the work
he has begun. Because this is a miracle;
the miracle of unity has begun.”
June 2014 – Evangelicals “Joint
Declaration of Faith in Unity
for Mission”
In June 2014, as a result of the
Kenneth Copeland minister’s confer-
ence, Tony Palmer took a group of
evangelical leaders to have lunch with
Pope Francis at the Vatican. These
included Kenneth Copeland, James
Robison and Geoff Tunnicliffe (head
of the Worldwide Evangelical Alliance),
among others. They told Pope Francis
that they wanted to accept his invita-
tion to seek visible unity with the
Bishop of Rome.5
At this luncheon, Pope Francis
was presented with a proposed “Dec-
laration of Faith in Unity for Mission”
drawn up by the evangelicals. The
proposal was to sign the document
with both the Vatican and leaders of
major Protestant churches in Rome in
2017, on the 500th
anniversary of the
beginning of the reformation and the
50th
anniversary of the Catholic Charis-
matic Renewal.6
The declaration has three ele-
ments (1) The Nicean-Constantinople
Creed—the core of the Catholic-
Lutheran declaration of 1999 making
clear there is no disagreement over
justification by faith. (2) Assertion that
Catholics and evangelicals now teach
the same gospel. (3) A freedom of con-
science clause stressing the need for
Catholics and evangelicals to respect
each other’s mission fields and treat
the other with respect, not as rivals.7
May 2014 – Common Declaration
Signed by Pope Francis and the
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew
In May 2014, yet another move to-
wards ecumenism was reported by the
Vatican Radio, “Pope Francis and the
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I,
spiritual leader of the Orthodox world,
signed a Joint Declaration reaffirming
their desire to overcome the obstacles
dividing their two Churches.”
Housed in the declaration was the
true purpose of the meeting, “…to
intensify our efforts to promote the
full unity of all Christians, and above
all between Catholics and Orthodox.”8
The Daily Sabah reported that,
“The Mass was interpreted by some
as cementing efforts to heal the 1,000
year-old schism between the 300
million followers of Orthodox Christi-
anity and the world’s 1.2 billion
Roman Catholics.”
June 2014 – Joel Osteen Visits
the Vatican
In June 2014, Pastor Joel Osteen,
evangelical pastor of America’s fast-
est growing megachurch, “Lakewood
Church”, met with Pope Francis at
the Vatican, along with several other
religious and political leaders.
As a result of the meeting, Mr.
Osteen showed his approval of the
Pope’s call for unity among the church-
es when he stated, “I went there to ex-
pressly feeling for unity and to let [the
pope] know that the American pastors
support what he’s doing. There’s noth-
ing wrong with denominations, but
just don’t let it separate us.”9
He added, “I like the fact that this
pope is trying to make the church larg-
er, not smaller. He’s not pushing people
out, but making the church more inclu-
sive. That resonated with me.”
June 2014 – Pope Francis Hosts
Interfaith ‘Peace Gathering’
In June 2014, Pope Francis invited
Israeli President Shimon Peres and
Palestinian Authority President
Mahmoud Abbas, to the Vatican, in
an ecumenical prayer gathering to
promote peace in the Middle East.
At the meeting, attended by lead-
ers of Christian, Catholic, Muslim,
Jewish and Druze religions, Pope Fran-
cis stated, “We have heard a summons,
and we must respond. It is the sum-
mons to break the spiral of hatred and
violence, and to break it by one word
alone: the word ‘brother’.”
September 2014 – Shimon Peres
Proposes Pope Francis Lead a
United Nations of Religions
In September 2014, Pope Francis
received former Israeli President Shi-
mon Peres to the Vatican, for a second
time in just a few months, where Peres
Carol Arnott, John Arnott, Brian Stiller, Kenneth Copeland, Pope Francis, Thomas Schirrmacher,
Geoff Tunnicliffe, James Robison, Betty Robison and Tony Palmer.

style organization he called, “the
United Religions”.
According to the Catholic News Ser-
vice, Mr. Peres, “…asked Pope Francis
to head a parallel United Nations called
the ‘United Religions’ to counter reli-
gious extremism in the world today.”
He went on to say, “In the past,
most wars were motivated by the idea
of nationhood. Today, however, wars
are incited above all using religion as
an excuse.”
Peres said, “Pope Francis would
be the best person to head such a world
body because perhaps for the first time
in history, the Holy Father is a leader
who’s respected, not just by a lot of
people, but also by different religions
and their representatives.”
“‘In fact, perhaps he is the only
leader who is truly respected’ in the
world.”
He went on to say that the United
Nations had run its course and that,
“…what we need is an organization of
United Religions to counteract these
terrorists who kill in the name of their
faith...What we need is an unquestion-
able moral authority who says out
loud, ‘No. God doesn’t want this and
doesn’t allow it.’”10
December 2014 – Rick Warren
Speaks on Catholic and Protestant
Commonalities
In December 2014, Rick Warren,
pastor of Saddleback Church, spoke of
the commonalities of Protestants and
Catholics during an interview for the
Catholic News Service in which he said,
“We have far more in common than
what divides us.”
He continued: “When you talk
about Pentecostals, charismatics, evan-
gelicals, fundamentalists, Catholics,
Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians...
well they would all say we believe in
the trinity, we believe in the Bible, we
believe in the resurrection, we believe
salvation is through Jesus Christ.
These are the big issues.”
“Sometimes Protestants think
that Catholics worship Mary like she’s
another god. But that’s not exactly
Catholic doctrine.”
“Now there are still real differenc-
es, no doubt about that. But the most
important thing is if you love Jesus,
we’re on the same team.”11
January 2015 - Oriental Orthodox
and Catholics Work to Conclude
Joint Document
In January 2015 – Pope Francis
received representatives from the Joint
International Commission for Theo-
logical Dialogue between the Catholic
Church and the Oriental Orthodox
Churches.
The major achievement of the
meeting was the final approval of a
document titled, “The Exercise of Com-
munion in the Life of the Early Church,
and its Implications for our Search for
Communion Today.”12
It examines the full communion
that existed before the split of the
churches in the 5th
century and is the
continuation of dialogue between the
Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Pro-
moting Christian Unity and Oriental
Orthodox churches.
Yes! The move towards a one-world
religious authority is alive and well
today. It almost seems like the right
thing to do…or does it? No matter what
happens, one must always remember
the ultimate goal. It is not to unite the
religious institutions of the world un-
der one biblically based belief system,
even though the Bible clearly states
that there is only one way to Heaven:
John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but
by me.”
No. This is an effort to corral the
belief systems of every individual on
earth. Once that occurs, everyone will
be asked and eventually forced, by this
religious system, to pledge allegiance
to the Antichrist and his world govern-
ing system.
One-World Religion Calls for a
One-World Government
With the goal of a one-world gov-
ernment in mind, it is easy to see why
a call to unite all the religions of the
world was issued decades ago. Global
elitists realized early on that a global
economic system could be imposed on
the world’s citizens through federal
banks and identification number-
ing systems, but that religious values
controlled the very mind, soul and
spirit of billions of people. Therefore,
the world’s religions must somehow
be unified under one global religious
authority that will align itself, along
with its followers, to that one-world
government.
With the formation of the Parlia-
ment of World’s Religions originally,
and now the interfaith and ecumenical
efforts by the Catholic Church since
Vatican II, it is clear to see the inten-
tions of the global elite. They want
to unite all the religions of the world
under the leadership of the Catholic
Church, which has repeatedly issued
calls for a one-world government:
“Today the universal common
good presents us with problems which
are world-wide in their dimensions;
problems, therefore, which cannot be
solved except by a public authority
with power, organization and means
co-extensive with these problems, and
with a world-wide sphere of activity.
Consequently, the moral order itself
demands the establishment of some
such general form of public authority.”
Pope John XXIII (PACEM IN TERRIS)
APRIL 11, 1963
“This goal undoubtedly requires
the establishment of some universal
“…Who can fail to see the need
and importance of thus gradu-
ally coming to the establishment
of a world authority capable of
taking effective action on the
juridical and political planes?”

12. angels which had the seven vials, and
talked with me, saying unto me, Come
hither; I will shew unto thee the judg-
ment of the great whore that sitteth
upon many waters: With whom the
kings of the earth have committed
fornication, and the inhabitants of the
earth have been made drunk with the
wine of her fornication. So he carried
me away in the spirit into the wilder-
ness: and I saw a woman sit upon a
scarlet coloured beast [a red beast], full
of names of blasphemy, having seven
heads and ten horns.”
Remember that the seven-headed,
ten-horned beast in Revelation 17 is
the same seven-headed, ten-horned
beast that represents the one-world
government in Revelation 13. Notice
that the angel tells John, “I will show
thee the judgment of the great harlot.”
Therefore, this is a warning that judg-
ment is coming to the “harlot” who has
formed an alliance with the one-world
government. So, who is this “harlot”?
God Always Uses a Woman to
Symbolize a Church in Scripture
In Bible prophecy, a beast always
represents a nation or the ruler of
that nation. The seven-headed beast
in Revelation 13 and 17 represents a
union of many nations that will form
a world-governing body.
On the other hand, in scripture,
God always uses a woman to symbol-
ize a church. The true church of Jesus
Christ is depicted as a virgin:
2 Corinthians 11:2, “For I am jeal-
ous over you with godly jealousy: for
I have espoused you to one husband,
that I may present you as a chaste
virgin to Christ.”
A false church or backslidden
church is referred to as a woman,
but as a “harlot”. When Israel, in the
Old Testament, backslid, God said
that, “…she committed whoredom.”
For example:
Judges 2:17, “And yet they would
not hearken unto their judges, but they
went a whoring after other gods, and
bowed themselves unto them: they
turned quickly out of the way which
their fathers walked in, obeying the
commandments of the LORD; but they
did not so.”
So, the prophecy of a harlot
(worldwide false church) riding a seven-
headed, ten-horned beast (one-world
government) is simply describing the
alliance of the two that will occur in the
very near future.
Now that we know what the “har-
lot” is, let’s answer the question of who
the “harlot” is.
The Harlot
God wanted to make absolutely
sure that the people of the end time
understood who the shepherd and the
flock of the one-world religion would
be. That is why Revelation 17 gives six
specific clues, which clearly identify
the “harlot”.
1. The Woman is a City
“And the woman which thou
sawest is that great city, which reigneth
over the kings of the earth.”
Revelation 17:18
The first clue is that the woman
is a city. However, the Bible says in
Revelation 17:1 that the woman (city)
sits on many waters. What do the
waters symbolize?
2. The Woman Rules an Interna-
tional System
“And he saith unto me, The
waters which thou sawest, where
the whore sitteth, are peoples, and
multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”
Revelation 17:15
The second clue lets us know
that the woman is a city and yet she
presides over a vast international
system of peoples, multitudes, nations
and tongues.
In 2011, the Catholic Church was
the third largest owner of land in the
world with roughly 177 million acres.13
It is believed by many that with
its priceless art, land, gold and invest-
ments across the globe, it is one of the
wealthiest institutions on earth.14
3. Rome, the City of Seven Hills
“And here is the mind which hath
wisdom. The seven heads are seven
mountains, on which the woman
sitteth.” Revelation 17:9
Clue number three says the city
sits on seven hills. Is there currently
a city that is known for residing atop
seven mountains or seven hills? Yes!
Rome is famous globally for being
the most recognized city that sits on
seven hills. Each of the hills has its own
name. According to Oxford Dictionar-
ies, “The seven hills on which the an-
cient city of Rome was built: Aventine,
Caelian, Capitoline, Esquiline, Quiri-
nal, Viminal, and Palatine.”15
4. Arrayed in Scarlet and Purple
Another clue to the identity of the
woman is verse 4.
“And the woman was arrayed in
purple and scarlet colour, and decked
with gold and precious stones and
pearls, having a golden cup in her hand
full of abominations and filthiness of
her fornication:” Revelation 17:4
We know that there are two rul-
ing bodies in the Roman Church, the
College of Cardinals and the College of
Bishops. It is church official policy that
Cardinals wear red while Bishops and
non-Cardinal Archbishops wear purple.
“The cardinals wear red because
they are considered the closest advis-

5. Drunken With the Blood of
the Saints
“And I saw the woman drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with
the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and
when I saw her, I wondered with great
admiration.” Revelation 17:6
Since the woman is symbolic of
a church, then clue number five tells
us that this religious organization will
have slaughtered Christians.
Roman Catholicism is recognized
for killing millions of true saints
because they refused to believe her
false doctrines.
Former Catholic Priest Walter
Montano stated in his book, Behind the
Purple Curtain that “fifty million people
died for the Christian faith under the
Papal Inquisition during Rome’s seven
hundred year reign of terror.”18
William Tyndale, the translator of
the Tyndale Bible, was tried at a church
trial. He was accused of heresy for
translating the Bible into the language
of the common man. His punishment
was carried out in 1536 when he was
strangled and burned at the stake.
Martin Luther was also sentenced
to death by the Roman Catholic Church
for the crime of heresy. However, he
escaped into the Protestant controlled
part of Germany, and the sentence was
never executed.
6. Reigns Over Kings
Revelation 17:18, “And the
woman which thou sawest is that great
city, which reigneth over the kings of
the earth.”
The Roman Catholic Church
believes that she has the right to
guide the political thinking of any and
all of her members. Therefore, if a
Pope should choose to issue an order
to a particular head-of-state who is
Roman Catholic, that leader would
be bound to obey. Many nations have
leaders who are Roman Catholic, along
with very powerful politicians and
extremely wealthy influential families.
Imagine the implications of a papal
call for obeisance to a global governing
authority.
During the Middle Ages (500-1500
A.D.) the popes named, removed and
replaced kings in Europe at will. The
Roman Catholic Church believes that
popes have the right to remove kings
and emperors.19

15. is pronounced, “Father of kings and
princes, the pastor of the universe,
and the vicar of the earth of our Lord
Jesus Christ.”20
In light of these six clues, here is
what we know:
Rome is the city on seven hills.
Rome rules over a vast international
system. The two ruling bodies of the
Roman Catholic Church are arrayed in
red and purple. The Roman Church has
shed the blood of Christians through-
out history and the hierarchy of the
Roman Catholic Church is the self-pro-
claimed ruler of the kings and princes
of the earth.
It’s simple—the Roman Catholic
Church will be the ruling body of the
one-world religion in the end time.
However, she is not alone in this quest.
She is Called “Mother of Harlots”
“And upon her forehead was a
name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON
THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HAR-
LOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE
EARTH.” Revelation 17:5
She is called the “Mother of
Harlots”. Therefore she must have
daughters. Remember, this harlot is a
false church. She has daughters who
are false churches as well. The daugh-
ters are the Protestant churches that
have broken off from the Catholic
Church throughout history, but they
retained much of the Mother Church’s
false doctrines.
This prophecy was written around
2,000 years ago before Roman Catholi-
cism even existed; and yet today, Rome
still refers to herself as the Mother
Church and to the Protestant churches
as her daughters:
As the two met in Rome on
December 2, 1960, Dr. Geoffrey Fisher,
Archbishop of Canterbury reported
that Pope John at one point read from
an address, in which he referred en-
thusiastically to that time when other
Christians could return home to the
Mother Church. The archbishop
courteously corrected him: “Not
return....none of us can go backwards.”
He then explained, “We are looking
forward until, in God’s good time,
when our two courses approximate
and meet.” After a moment’s pause,
Pope John replied, “You are right.”
The Catholic Review21
“It must always be clear, when
the expression sister Churches is used
in this proper sense, that the one,
holy, catholic and apostolic Universal
Church is not sister but mother of all
the particular Churches.”
– Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger22
Cardinal Ratzinger went on
to become Pope Benedict XVI. He
believes the Roman Catholic Church
is the Mother Church and that all the
Protestants are the daughters. You
can see the quote for yourself.
Backslidden Christianity, Both
Protestant and Catholic will Par-
ticipate in the Great Tribulation
The most shocking thing about
all of this is, the Bible actually teaches
that backslidden Christianity will
participate in the Great Tribulation
as supporters of the Antichrist and
will be instigators in the persecution
of the saints.
“And he had power to give life
unto the image of the beast, that the
image of the beast should both speak,
and cause that as many as would not
worship the image of the beast should
be killed.” Revelation 13:15
Those of us living in the 21st cen-
tury can’t seem to grasp the thought
of Christians killing Christians, but
if the Bible says that it is going to
happen, then we can count on it. The
prophecies always come to pass!
Is there any time in history when
Christians persecuted Christians?
Absolutely. There are many examples
of Protestant Christians persecuting
Catholic Christians and vice versa.
In 1563, anti-Catholicism in
England flamed when John Foxe’s
Book of Martyrs was published. Also
in 1844, in Philadelphia, the “City of
Brotherly Love,” Protestants besieged
Catholic neighborhoods with cannon
fire and pistols, and also set houses
aflame, because the Catholics had pro-
tested the use of the Protestant’s King
James Bible in public schools. Martial
law was declared, and it took two thou-
sand federal troops to quell the rioting;
eighteen people were killed and scores
more were injured.
In addition, Catholics persecuted
Protestants for hundreds of years.
During the Inquisition people were
often burned at the stake just for being
of the Protestant faith. No religion
outside of Catholicism was allowed
during the Holy Roman Empire’s reign.
Come Out of Her, My People
So, what do we do then? What
does the Bible tell us to do if this is
happening in Christianity today?
Here is the answer in Revelation 18:4:
“And I heard another voice from
heaven, saying, Come out of her, my
people, that ye be not partakers of her
sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues.” Revelation 18:4
We must have a return to true
Biblical Christianity. How can we do
this? We need to return to studying
our Bibles (not necessarily our reli-
gious books), humble ourselves in daily
prayer and return to the pattern set
for us in the book of Acts. Let’s have a
true, end time Christian revival, and
let’s do it together! e

16. LESSON 1
United States Discovered in the Bible
This lesson gives absolute proof that 2,600 years ago the U.S. was
foretold in the Bible, and that it would come out of Great Britain. It
includes specific prophecies about Russia, Germany, the European
Union, and Great Britain. Modern nations are so clearly depicted
in scripture that it will shock you! This lesson is essential to under-
standing all other prophecies being fulfilled.
LESSON 2
New World Order is World Government
Have you heard of the World Court? How about the World Bank?
International law? Did you know that the Bible specifically states
that there will be a world government set up on earth just prior
to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? This lesson proves the New
World Order is that world government, that we are subject to its
laws right now, and that it is the government over which the Anti-
christ himself will soon rule.
LESSON 3
Islam in Bible Prophecy - The Four Horsemen
Conversions to Islam have increased since the terrorist attacks of
9/11. Our leaders have bent over backwards to call Islam a religion
of peace, even while suicide bombings continue on a regular basis.
In this lesson we reveal the identities of the four horsemen of the
apocalypse; the white horse, the red horse, the black horse and the
pale horse, and how they are moving in our world right now. You
will discover that God Himself foretold the force called Islam over
2,000 years ago.
LESSON 4
WWIII - Entrance Ramp for the Antichrist
According to the Bible, one out of three people on the earth will die
in this war of all wars! After this global holocaust people will beg for
a strong man to lead the way out of the chaos and destruction and
into peace and security. Such a man already exists, and at the right
moment he will step onto the world scene. He will offer leadership
and direction, but his price will be absolute obedience.
LESSON 5
Israel’s God-Given Destiny
Why is the whole world focused on one small area of land with
less than one-tenth of one percent of the world’s population? In
this lesson you will learn the history of Israel from its birth to its
final 1,878-year exile. It was foretold in the Bible that Israel would
live again and you will see its miraculous rebirth. Scripture clearly
explains Israel’s destiny and why the Temple Mount is the most
important place on earth!
LESSON 6
Israel - God’s Prophetic Time Clock
Twenty-five hundred years ago God gave a prophecy whose
fulfillment will be completed in the very near future. This prophecy
foretells the beginning of a seven-year period that will end at the
Battle of Armageddon. The beginning of this final seven years is
just ahead. That’s the reason this prophecy is called, “a prophecy
with a date on it.” This lesson gives you a clear understanding of
God’s destiny for Israel!
LESSON 7
Holy Roman Empire Reborn
Most people completely missed one of the five greatest prophetic
fulfillments in the last 2,000 years, which took place on November
3, 2009. The Holy Roman Empire was declared dead in 1806, but
this lesson gives absolute proof that it was reborn on November 3,
2009. The prophecy also reveals where the Antichrist and his reli-
gious partner, the False Prophet, will come from.
LESSON 8
The Antichrist and the False Prophet
The Bible prophesies that two individuals will rule over a system
of world government just before the Battle of Armageddon and
the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. One will be a political leader,
the other a religious leader. The prophecy lets us know that these
two personages will come out of the reborn Holy Roman Empire.
This lesson gives proof that the power-base of the Antichrist is now
established and awaiting his arrival.
17. LESSON 9
666 – Mark of the Beast
This prophecy has lurked ominously for over 2,000 years, warning
us that a day will come when every person on earth will be forced
to worship Satan through his agent, the Antichrist. Every person
will have to worship the Antichrist in order to receive their personal
number, and without the number no one will be able to buy or sell.
The time for the Mark of the Beast has arrived!
LESSON 10
The Coming One-World Religion, Part 1
The Secret Pact Between Gorbachev and the Vatican
The Bible prophesies a one-world religion in the endtime. With the
fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the march toward one-world religion
accelerated dramatically. This was not a spontaneous event; it was
carefully planned far in advance. You will learn how the world’s fore-
most political leader and most powerful religious leader worked to-
gether to bring down the Berlin Wall; the greatest story never told.
LESSON 11
The Coming One-World Religion, Part 2
When All Religions Become One
Do Muslims, Jews, and Christians all worship the same God? The
belief that all religions are equally true and valid is called Inter-
faithism. The Bible prophesies such a belief system during the time
of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. This lesson explains how
religious unification will evolve and the form of religion that will be
enforced during the Great Tribulation.
LESSON 12
The 7 Trumpets
There are seven angels with seven trumpets in the Book of
Revelation. When each of the seven angels sounds his trumpet,
a major prophetic fulfillment is unleashed upon the human race.
These events include World War I, World War II, the Chernobyl
nuclear disaster, and the 1991 Gulf War. This lesson gives proof
that five of the seven trumpets have already happened and the
sixth trumpet could happen at any time.
LESSON 13
The Second Coming
The Second Coming of Jesus to earth will be the capstone of all hu-
man history. It is so important in the plan of God that He devoted
the entire Book of Revelation to dramatize this event. Since all the
prophecies that will occur just before the Second Coming are com-
ing to pass right now, every person on earth should have a clear un-
derstanding of what happens at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
LESSON 14
Kingdom of God
This lesson reveals what Jesus said a person must do to enter the
Kingdom of God, along with what the world will be like when Jesus
Christ personally rules on earth. The Bible reveals that there won’t
be one war on earth during the entire 1,000-year reign of Jesus
Christ. Viewing and obeying the instruction in this lesson is the
most crucial action you will ever take to understanding how to
enter the Kingdom of God.

19. Jewish Agency chairman Natan
Sharansky spoke with the ‘Post’ on
Monday, analyzing recent European
trends and what they mean for both
Europe and the Jews.
A few days before terrorists in
Paris mowed down 12 people at the
offices of the Charlie Hebdo satirical
magazine, and killed four more at a
Kosher supermarket in the French
capital, Jewish Agency chairman Natan
Sharansky told The Jerusalem Post that
the discomfort French Jews feel in
their own country should be a strong
signal to Europe of the dangers in
its midst.
And how does Sharansky know
French Jews are feeling discomfort?
Because more than 7,000 of them
moved to Israel last year; because some
50,000 sought out aliya information
in 2014; because the Jewish Agency
is running two aliya seminars a night
in France, compared to one a month a
year ago; and because – according to his
estimates – “hundreds of thousands”
of France’s estimated 600,000 Jews are
thinking about leaving the country.
Rather than all of this only being
of interest to Israel and the Jews, those
figures and that trend should also be
of immense interest to the Europeans
themselves, he maintained.
Whereas Foreign Minister Avigdor
Liberman declared this week that the
biggest challenge facing Israel in 2015
is not Iran, Palestinians or Hezbollah,
but rather Western Europe, Sharansky
took those comments a step further
and said the biggest challenge facing
Europe in 2015 is Europe. And to un-
derstand that challenge, it is important
to understand the discomfiture felt by
the Jews.
Sharansky is a thinker. If Plato’s
ideal ruler is the “philosopher king,”
the Jewish Agency – with Sharansky
– has found itself in the grips of the
“philosopher chairman of the Jewish
Agency executive.” To hear him speak
about Europe is to hear an intellectual
discuss a topic he has obviously spent
much time pondering.
During a late afternoon interview
on Monday, Sharansky did not spew
out someone else’s talking points,
instead articulating a learned analysis
of the various trends in Europe, and
how they impact on both the Jews and
European society as a whole.
Growing hostility there toward
Israel – the challenge Liberman re-
ferred to – speaks more about changes
in Europe than in Israel, Sharansky
intimated, and those changes should
send alarm bells ringing all across
the continent.
“If I were a European politician,
I would think day and night about why
Jews feel uncomfortable in Europe,

Jewish quarter of the Marais district in Paris.
MAY/JUNE 2015 www.endtime.com 19
20. and what it means for Europe, what
has changed in European society,”
he said.
His words are a variation on the
old theme that the Jews are the world’s
“canary in the coal mine” – and what
happens to the Jews today, happens
to the world tomorrow.
If the Europeans are not willing
to fight for the traditional values of
the liberal national state they them-
selves brought into the world, which
demands all its citizens accept without
reservation the principles of human
rights and liberty – and in light of the
attack on Charlie Hebdo, one should
also add freedom of expression – and if
the Europeans “are not ready to close
mosques where people are preaching
hatred,” then Europe is “doomed”,
Sharansky warned.
Linking the fate of the Jews to
the fate of Europe, he said that “the
Jews are leaving Europe. And in histo-
ry, we always see that the Jews are the
harbinger. Europe is losing the value
[it ascribes] to the national state, and
the first to feel the discomfort are the
Jews – but in the end, it will be all
of Europe.”
Sharansky said that in a recent
conversation with French Jewish phi-
losopher Alain Finkielkraut, he asked
him whether he thought there was a
future for Jews in Europe.
“He said that my question is more
serious,” Sharansky recalled. “Is there a
future for Europe in Europe, for France
in France?” WHILE EUROPE’S worsen-
ing attitude toward Israel is a problem
for Israel and the Jews, it also signals a
larger, more fundamental problem for
Europe – the loss of identity, the loss
of a sense that there is anything worth
fighting for.
“Why do Jews feel so uncomfort-
able in Europe?” Sharansky asked,
launching into the first part of his
analysis. “It is true that the first exter-
nal reason is the big Muslim communi-
ty, and the resulting increasing feeling
of insecurity.”
Sharansky stressed that this
insecurity is not only due to terrorist
attacks, but also to Jews’ underlying
feeling of estrangement and fear – a
feeling concretized 12 years ago when
Paris’s chief rabbi told students not to
wear their kippot when they left school
at the end of the day.
There is no doubt, Sharansky
said, that Jews in Europe, especially
in France, feel there are large neigh-
borhoods near them – the “House of
Islam” – which are “not friends”.
This alone cannot explain
the Jews’ sense of discomfort, nor
why French Jews are leaving in
record numbers.
He noted that historically, Jews
leave the lands of their birth – even
when there is anti-Semitism – only if
they sense that the authorities are not
on their side. The French anomaly is
that the Jews are leaving even though
the French authorities are very much
on the Jews’ side, having the tough-
est anti-Semitism laws in Europe,
and being very cooperative with the
Jewish community.
So why leave? This is because,
according to Sharansky, in addition
to the House of Islam, Jews are faced
on the other side with the “House of
conservative, traditional Christian
Europe,” a house represented – at least
in France – by Front National leader
Marine Le Pen.
While at the moment this particu-
lar house is not overly unfriendly or
haunted, Sharansky said historically,
every Jew knows the denizens of that
particular house see the Jew as the
“other.” “You could live with them,
you could work with them, but you
don’t really feel at home with them.”
20 www.endtime.com MAY/JUNE 2015
21. Alternatively, the Jews generally
found their home in the warm embrace
of traditional European liberalism, a
home they helped build.
The problem is that now this home
is chilly, as liberal Europe is increas-
ingly turning its back on Israel.
“The liberals of Europe today have
a very negative attitude toward Israel,”
Sharansky said. And while for Jews
who want to assimilate, and do not
care about Israel, this might not be a
problem – for those Jews for whom
Israel remains important, it presents
a huge problem.
“There are only two anchors that
have prevented assimilation,” Sharan-
sky said, “faith and Zionism, a connec-
tion with God and a connection with
Israel. If you have two anchors, great;
if you have one, you can manage. If
you don’t have any one of them, you
will assimilate in one generation. We
have seen that everywhere.”
So among Jews who don’t want to
assimilate, he pointed out, the link to
Israel is very important. “And if Israel
is very important to you and your
home is liberal France, and every day
you read the liberal papers in France
giving hell to Israel, and your friends
say you are a good guy but they can’t
accept the awful State of Israel, it be-
comes unpleasant.”
Here, Sharansky moves from an
analysis of the Jewish condition in
Europe, to Europe’s changing attitude
toward identity and the nation-state.
Liberal Europe, he said, gave birth
to the idea of the national liberal state,
and nationalism and liberalism were
connected. The national identity was
the strong glue that kept everyone to-
gether, and everybody was guaranteed
human rights.
“From Locke, Montesquieu and
Spinoza before them, you can see how
the idea of the nation-state was born
in Europe, together with the idea of
liberalism,” he said.
And then in one week in early
November 1917, two key events took
place: the Bolshevik Revolution, and
the Balfour Declaration.
“In a way, the two events are op-
posite,” Sharansky explained. “The Bol-
shevik Revolution was about eliminat-
ing all identities, creating a universe of
equal people – and they killed tens of
millions of people to create this.”
And Zionism, represented by the
Balfour Declaration, was the opposite
– it was a national movement based on
identity. Ironically, while Britain and
much of Europe accepted the idea at
the time, when nation-states were seen
as natural and some 20 states were
born, most of the Jews – from Ortho-
dox to Reform, Bundists to Commu-
nists – were anti-Zionists. Only a small
number of Jews pushed for Zionism.
And then came World War II, and
everything was turned on its head.
The Jews turned to Zionism, while
Europe turned away from nationalism.
“What is post-modern, post-
national Europe about?” Sharansky
asked. “It’s all about them saying, ‘OK,
we had hundreds of years of religious
wars, and then we had two horrible
wars where hundreds of millions of our
own were killed, for the sake of what?
For the sake of the prejudicial feeling
that our religion, our nation, is better
and should be in control.’”
The ideal for the post-World War
II European liberal, Sharansky said, is
not the nation-state of the past, but
the ideal put forward in John Lennon’s
song “Imagine.”
“The ideal is the god of John Len-
non,” he said. “Imagine a world without
borders, without God, where there is
nothing to die for. National states are
things for which people are dying and
killing themselves.”
The Lennon ideal helps explain
the European antipathy for Israel – for
while the idea of Israel was accepted
MAY/JUNE 2015 www.endtime.com 21
22. in Europe after the Holocaust, as time
passes, it seems a relic of a distant past.
The European goal is a new world
without borders, and along comes
Israel and all of a sudden the Jews –
in the mind of the liberal Europeans –
are leaving the progressive world and
going east to build a national state,
trampling on the rights of the Palestin-
ians to boot.
Israel, in this analysis, is nothing
less than a thorn in the side of Europe
– which believes it has moved beyond
all those quaint notions of national
identity and the nation-state.
Thus, Sharansky said, the Jews
in France are faced with a choice: They
can either be part of liberal France,
which “hates Israel”; be part of conser-
vative France, which doesn’t believe
the Jews are part of their culture; or
become part of Islamic Europe, which
is clearly impossible.
Or they can leave... which they
are doing.
Sharansky recounted that follow-
ing the terrorist attack at the Jewish
Museum in Brussels last year, he met
with a group of young Belgian Jews
and asked them whether they saw a
future for Jews in Belgium. No one
wanted to say “no,” he said, nor were
they willing to answer with an un-
equivocal “yes”.
“Except for one girl,” he noted.
“She said there is surely a future,
if we succeed to convince people
around us that we have nothing to do
with Israel.”
The irony, Sharansky acknowl-
edged, is that whereas liberal Europe
rejects Jewish nationalism in the form
of Zionism, it embraces Palestinian
nationalism.
In post-modern Europe, he
explained, national identity is a bad
thing. “With one exception: people
who suffered from colonialism, and
whose identities help them fight and
catch up with the free world.” This, for
liberal Europe, is a positive identity.
Sharansky said that Marx and
Engels were wonderful at identifying
good and bad identities. “There were
good nations who were advancing the
development of the proletarian revolu-
tion, and the bad nations that were
taking it backward.”
Similarly, he said, in today’s Europe
there are good and bad identities.
“All the traditional identities
which created colonialism are consid-
ered bad,” he said.
Post-modern, post-national
Europe posits something else as well,
he argued: The idea that all identities
are relative, that there is no absolute
value, that cultures which don’t value
human rights have the same right to
exist as cultures that do.
“Who are we to impose our values
on these people?” Sharansky said,
paraphrasing this attitude. “We have
to welcome them, because we sinned
against them. Who are we to impose
our culture on them?” As a result,
in something that seems true when
looking at that part of Muslim Europe
which refuses to integrate, “there is a
huge population that didn’t join West-
ern culture, and the West feels it has
no right to impose it on them.”
In practical terms, Sharansky said,
the ideal of living Lennon’s dream
means there are hundreds of millions
of people who like their freedom and
liberty, but don’t believe in identity,
nationalism or religion, and don’t be-
lieve there is anything to fight for.
On the other side, in Europe there
is a not-insignificant segment of the
population, which doesn’t believe in
liberty and human rights, but has a
strong identity and is willing to fight
for it. In that clash, he posited, those
not willing to fight for their iden-
tity, because their identity has been
blurred, are “doomed”.
Asked whether he was not perhaps
exaggerating when saying Europeans
don’t believe there is anything to fight
for, and whether he did not think that
at a certain point, people would push
back and stand up for their way of life,
Sharansky said he was an optimist
who not only believed in the future of
the Jewish people, but in the future
of liberty.
“I believe that in the end, people
will be willing to fight for their free-
dom,” he said. “The question is how far
they are willing to retreat, and when
they will wake up.”
“The earlier liberal Europe will
fight, the better chance it has to pro-
tect its liberal values,” he continued.
“Because if liberal Europe will
not be ready to fight, then non-liberal
Europe will be ready to do so.”
Noting the rise of right-wing
parties throughout Europe, Sharansky
added, “The longer liberal France will
ignore the threat, and not be ready to
defend its liberal and national values,
the only defense will be ultra-national-
ist and religious conservative forces.”
Sooner or later, he said, liberal
Europe will have to fight for its values
with full force. The more it engages in
that battle, the more it will begin con-
necting its identity with its freedom,
the more it will come to see Israel as
its ally.
Or, as Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu said Thursday in response
to the attack in Paris, “Israel is being
attacked by the very same forces that
attack Europe. Israel stands with Eu-
rope. Europe must stand with Israel.”
When it does, Sharansky might
add, Europe will be returning to itself.

24. Where did ISIS Come From?
According to Zbigniew Brzezinski,
National Security Advisor during the
Carter Administration, American intel-
ligence services began secretly aiding
the Mujahideen, the opponents of the
pro-Soviet regime, six months before
the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. In
other words, even as they publicly
opposed Muslim extremism, United
States intelligence was supporting
the Muslim “freedom fighters” as a
geopolitical weapon to induce a Soviet
military invasion. “We didn’t push the
Russians to intervene,” said Brzezinski,
“but we knowingly increased the prob-
ability that they would.”
Clinton Admits U.S. Created
Predecessor of Al Qaeda
On April 24, 2009 then Secretary
of State Hillary Clinton spoke at a hear-
ing in the House of Representatives
and admitted that the U.S. government
created and funded the Mujahideen in
order to fight the Soviet Union. “Let’s
remember here the people we are
fighting today,” she said. “We funded
them twenty years ago, and we did it
because we were locked in a struggle
with the Soviet Union. They invaded
Afghanistan and we did not want to
see them control Central Asia, and
we went to work and it was President
Reagan in partnership with Congress,
led by Democrats, who said, ‘You know
what, it sounds like a pretty good idea;
let’s deal with the ISI and the Pakistan
military, and let’s go recruit these Mu-
jahideen...’” “We then left Pakistan,”
she continued. “We said, ‘Ok, fine, you
deal with the stingers that we’ve left
all over your country. You deal with the
mines that are along the border...’ So
we stopped dealing with the Pakistani
military, and with ISI, and we now are
making up for a lot of lost time.” In
February 2012, in an interview with
Greta Van Susteren, Hillary Clinton
said, “The people we are fighting today,
we were supporting in the fight against
the Soviets.” The group that Hillary

25. Clinton referred to as “the people we
were supporting in the fight against
the Soviets,” was the Mujahideen, the
predecessors of al Qaeda.
Al Qaeda, ISI, ISIL, ISIS,
Islamic State
That which we now know today as
ISIS, or the Islamic State, had its origins
in the early years of the Iraq War, and
they pledged allegiance to al Qaeda in
2004. This group of Iraqi rebels became
known as al Qaeda in Iraq. It was
made up of various insurgent groups,
including its predecessor, the Mujahi-
deen Shura Council. Under leader Abu
Ayyub al-Masri, al Qaeda in Iraq hoped
to establish a Sunni caliphate in Iraq
and Syria. After months of feuding,
the group splintered off from al Qaeda
and became the Islamic State in Iraq
(ISI) under Abu Omar al-Baghdadi. Al
Qaeda in Iraq had reportedly severed
all relations with ISI because it consid-
ered ISI to be “too extreme”. Abu Omar
al-Baghdadi was killed in 2010 and was
succeeded by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The Islamic State, as they renamed
themselves, which has also been known
as ISI, ISIL or ISIS, declared itself a
caliphate in 2014. They also proclaimed
al-Baghdadi as the Caliph, the world
leader of all those who practice Islam.
ISIS Reportedly Funded Via the
United States and Its Allies?
The Express Tribune, an English
language affiliate of the New York Times
in Pakistan, reported in January 2015
that Islamic State commander Yousaf
al Salafi had confessed to Pakistani law
enforcement agencies that his organi-
zation had been receiving funds from
wealthy Gulf-region United States al-
lies, routed through the United States
“to run the organization in Pakistan
and recruit young people to fight in
Syria.” The Express Tribune’s sources
also disclosed that U.S. Secretary of
State John Kerry had been informed
of these awkward revelations during
a trip to Islamabad. Andrew Tabler,
senior fellow at the Washington
Institute for Near East Policy, told The
Daily Beast that Kuwait is the pipeline
through which funding for ISIS in Syria
and Iraq is funneled. “Kuwait’s banking
system and its money changers have
long been a huge problem,” Tabler said,
“because they are a major conduit for
money to extremist groups in Syria
and now Iraq.”
What has ISIS Done?
ISIS has become well known in
recent months for their fierce brutality,
expressed through mass murder, exe-
cution, rape, dismemberment, enslave-
ment and, most recently, through the
beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians in
Libya and burning alive the Jordanian
pilot. They have created videos of their
brutalities for posting to the Internet
and social media.
What does ISIS Want?
Their ultimate goal is to impose
a worldwide Sunni Islamic state gov-
erned by Sharia law, the code of law
derived from the Koran and from the
teachings and example of Mohammed.
ISIS has been focusing their attacks in
Iraq, Syria, Libya and adjacent areas,
but they have also made it clear that
they want to extend their control over
a territory which extends from Mo-
rocco and Spain out to Sri Lanka and
the border of China.
Teaming Up for Terror
In an apparent move to increase
international recognition and recruit
more jihadists, Boko Haram, an Islam-
ist group which has been active in
Nigeria since 2009, has joined forces
with ISIS. Boko Haram has caused
mayhem in Nigeria, through bomb-
ings, assassinations and abductions, in
an attempt to overthrow the govern-
ment and create an Islamic state. Boko
Haram gained notoriety a year ago
when they kidnapped 270 girls from
the Chibok boarding school in Nigeria.
219 of the girls are still missing.
Enemy of My Enemy, a Mixed
Blessing
The White House strategy in
opposing ISIS in Iraq increasingly de-
pends on Iran. Iranian troops are help-
ing Iraq resist the advance of ISIS while
the U.S. military trains Iraq’s under-
performing armed forces. The New York
Times reported in March 2015, that the
30,000 Iraqi forces sent to help fight
ISIS in Tikrit are largely trained and
equipped by Iran. Iran has deployed
advanced rockets and missiles to Iraq
but has not yet launched any of them.
What is the significance of the
fact that one of the countries join-
ing with America in the fight against
ISIS is Iran—a longstanding enemy
of the United States? U.S. military
officials look at it as a mixed blessing.
Iran shares a border with Iraq and
has its own interest in contending
against ISIS. Iran’s leaders have called
the United States the “Great Satan”.
Washington has been in a standoff
with Iran for years over its nuclear
program. Yet, President Obama’s goal
is to “degrade and ultimately destroy
ISIS.” General Martin Dempsey said,
“Anything anyone does to counter ISIS
is in the main a good outcome.” But
Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said
MAY/JUNE 2015 www.endtime.com 25
26. that the United States is worried about
Iran’s role.
U.S. Arming “Moderate” Jihadist
Terrorists
In August 2014, Congress ap-
proved President Obama’s plan to arm
“moderate” Syrian rebels to fight ISIS.
Intelligence Chief Clapper admitted
that the Obama administration is
arming terrorists but calling them
“moderates”. He also admitted that the
definition of what “moderate” means
has so evolved that it has actually come
to mean “anyone who is not affiliated
with ISIL.” Syrian Archbishop Jacques
Behnan Hindo had warned in January
2014, that there is no such thing as a
“moderate” Syrian rebel, and that even
so-called “moderate” rebel factions in
the Syrian civil war intend to turn the
country into an Islamist state. So, in
essence, the United States had begun
providing weapons for one Jihadist
terrorist group and had encouraged
them to kill another Jihadist terrorist
group, hoping that one day we won’t
have to fight the terrorists that we gave
the weapons to. Then a month later, to
add to the folly, the Syrian “moderate”
rebels that President Obama armed
to fight ISIS signed a Non-Aggression
Pact with ISIS so that they could join
together to take down the regime of
Syrian President Bashar Assad. The
U.S. had been arming these very same
rebels, even when they were openly
aligned with ISIS and al-Qaeda, for
over a year.
Islamic Apocalypse
From a religious viewpoint, it
seems that ISIS’ inhumanities are an
attempt to lure Western forces into “al-
Malhama al-Kubra”, the “Great Battle”,
that leads directly to the Islamic Day
of Judgment and the end of the world.
This branch of Islam believes that the
Islamic Armageddon will take place
as a battle between good and evil in
Dabiq, a town in northern Syria.
International Coalition
President Obama has said that he
would order U.S. troops into combat if
ISIS ever obtained a nuclear weapon.
General Martin Dempsey, chairman of
the joint chiefs, has testified on Capitol
Hill that the Pentagon is “certainly con-
sidering” whether to embed U.S. mili-
tary advisors with Iraqi combat units
deployed to the front lines in Iraq.
The military action against ISIS is
not just a regional conflict. An interna-
tional coalition of some 60 nations has
each participated in some way, either
with airstrikes, military supplies or
logistical support, according to the U.S.
State Department. Some of the major
contributors to the coalition battle
against ISIS include Australia,
Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, Egypt,
France, Germany, Iraqi Kurdistan,
Jordan, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia,
Turkey, United Arab Emirates and
the United Kingdom.
Is the 6th Trumpet of Revelation
About to Sound?
ISIS has captured population cen-
ters up and down the Euphrates River,
on both sides of the Syria-Iraq border.
The “Sixth Trumpet” prophecy of Rev-
elation tells us that World War III will
originate in the area of the Euphrates
River, which flows through Turkey,
Syria and Iraq, and empties into the
Persian Gulf, exactly the same region
where ISIS is advancing on towns and
cities today.
“Saying to the sixth angel which
had the trumpet, Loose the four angels
which are bound in the great river
Euphrates. And the four angels were
loosed, which were prepared for an
hour, and a day, and a month, and a
year, for to slay the third part of men.”
Revelation 9:14-15
This war that is coming will kill
2.3 billion, forty times the number
killed in World War II. It will be the
worst war ever. When these four evil
angels are released, their assignment
will be to kill one-third of mankind. e

President Obama armed to fight ISIS

27. WORLD REVIEW
by Ginger Boerkircher
6TH TRUMPET
New Iranian Missile
A new Iranian long-range missile
could extend Iran’s strike capability to
a wide swath of Europe and potentially
far beyond. With their 2,500 kilome-
ter range, the Soumar missile “entails
a 25% increase in the range of Iran’s
missiles and, if we consider the future
possibility that the missiles would be
deployed on ships and submarines,
we see the ability to project their
power worldwide,” according to an
Israeli analyst.
Fort Carson Brigade Headed to
Kuwait
More than 4,000 Fort Carson
soldiers left for Kuwait, where they
will take over as America’s largest
ground force in the troubled region.
The 3rd Brigade Combat Team will
serve as U.S. Central Command’s
Reserve force in the Middle East. They
will be the first soldiers into battle if
a major combat force is used to battle
Islamic State fighters.
U.S. will Keep Pressure on Iran
CIA Director John Brennan said
no matter the outcome of nuclear
talks with Iran, the U.S. will “continue
to keep pressure” on the country and
learn from its past mistakes. “The
nuclear program is one issue that we’re
hoping to be able to halt; but also, we
see that Iran is still a state sponsor
of terrorism,” Brennan said. Brennan
said that Iran and the Islamic State are
equal in the threat they pose to the
United States.
Will ISIS Drag Us into World War?
Many experts are wondering if we
are heading for another major global
conflict. ISIS and its sympathizers
have turned up in more than a dozen
nations; from northern Africa to the
Philippines. One American University
professor feels a coming crisis is not so
much with ISIS as it is with Russia and
its volatile economy, low oil prices and
Russian troops in Ukraine.
Bolton: Obama ‘Delusional’
Former Ambassador to the United
Nations John Bolton said President
Barack Obama is “delusional” for
declaring in his State of the Union
address last week that ISIS was on the
run. Bolton said Americans are hearing
about the ISIS beheadings and reading
reports about ISIS gaining strength
in the Middle East and wondering,
“Who’s defending our country?” Bolton
says he is thinking about running for
president because “we have to return
national security issues to the center
of the debate.”

Juncker Calls for EU Army
European Commission President
Jean-Claude Juncker is calling for the
creation of an EU army in order to
show Russia “that we are serious about
defending European values.” “An EU
army would let the continent react
credibly to threats to peace in a mem-
ber state or a neighbor of the EU,” he
said. The proposal is being cautiously
welcomed by many senior German
politicians.
Europe’s Sovereignty Illusion
According to former Secretary
General of NATO Javier Solana, the
myth of sovereignty has been perpetu-
ated for far too long in the European
Union. “European integration has
been a harmonious, ordered, and just
process,” he said. “There is no going
back to a global order defined by
isolated nation-states.” EU members
are interdependent. “This interdepen-
dence stems not only from a shared
currency: it is the fruit of endless
socioeconomic interactions that weave
the EU member states into a dynamic
web,” Solana said.
Pope’s Vision for Europe
German Chancellor Angela Merkel,
the daughter of a Lutheran minister,
met recently with Pope Francis. She
said that she and Francis spoke mainly
about globalization, the European
Union and the role of Europe in the
world. “Pope Francis made it clear that

found the message very encouraging,”
said Merkel.
Jews Feel Unsafe
British Premier David Cameron
says he is sickened by recent instances
of anti-Semitism. “The idea that the
Jewish people once again feel unsafe
in Europe is a truly sickening thought
that strikes at the heart of everything
we stand for,” he said. While the situ-
ation in the UK is significantly better
than in many other countries, in Brit-
ain “we, too, have seen a completely
unacceptable rise in anti-Semitism.”

No National ID, No School
Starting in June 2017, children in
Uganda will not be allowed in school
without a national identity card. In
addition, nobody (Ugandan or foreign-
er) will be allowed to live in Uganda if
not registered and in possession of
a national ID. At least 15.9 million
Ugandans have registered so far.
State Drivers’ Licenses
Washington, Oregon and Idaho are
trying to figure out how to keep their
state driver’s licenses from becoming
obsolete in the eyes of the federal gov-
ernment. The Idaho House passed a bill
that would ask the feds for more time
to come into compliance with federal
ID security standards. Washington
offers an “enhanced” drivers license at
an extra cost that meets the standards
of the federal law, but relatively few
Washington drivers have chosen to
get one.
Ecuador Rolls Out Digital Cash
Ecuador is revamping its monetary
system using digital currencies. Once
the government flips the switch, the
South American nation of 16 million
will host the first-ever state-run elec-
tronic payment system. Users will be
able to pay for select services and send
money between individuals. The Ecua-
dorean government says the scheme
is designed to support its dollar-based
monetary system, not replace it.
UK Not Providing Biometric
Guidelines
MPs are concerned about the
UK government’s failure to introduce
proper legislation to regulate the
increasing use of biometric data.
One topic of particular concern is how
the police are allowed to acquire and
store biometric data about individuals
who have not been charged for
any crimes.

Netanyahu Sweeps to Victory
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu and his Likud party won
a clear and decisive victory in Israel’s
parliamentary elections. This will be his
fourth term as prime minister. “Against
all odds, we achieved a great victory,”
Netanyahu told his supporters.
Netanyahu Urges Jews to Move
to Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu urged European Jews to
move to Israel after a Jewish man was
recently killed in an attack outside Co-
penhagen’s main synagogue. “Israel is
your home. We are preparing and call-
ing for the absorption of mass immigra-
tion from Europe,” Netanyahu said.
Quartet Urges Revival of Peace
Talks
The “Quartet” of Middle East peace
mediators has urged prompt resump-
tion of talks between Israel and the
Palestinians. A statement from the
group called on both sides “to refrain
from actions that undermine trust
or prejudge final status issues.” U.S.
Secretary of State John Kerry, the EU
foreign policy chief, Russian Foreign
Minister Sergei Lavrov and the deputy
UN head reiterated that talks must re-
spect Palestinian aspirations for state-
hood and Israel’s security concerns.
Tony Blair to Step Back as Envoy
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair
is to step back from his role as a peace
envoy for the Middle East according to
a recent report. Sources said that he is
embarking on negotiations to “recast”
his role while remaining involved in
the peace process. He is said to have
met U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry
and the EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Fed-
erica Mogherini to discuss a possible
job change.

UN-EU Strategic Partnership
The development of a strong
partnership between the United
Nations and the European Union (EU)

intensify in complexity and multiply
in scope, says UN Secretary-General
Ban Ki-moon. Ban told delegates that
the “strategic partnership” between
the two organizations “runs deep” as
both share “common values”. “It is our
responsibility to continue exploring
scenarios where we can put our com-
bined efforts to use,” Ban said.
Get Ready for UNSC Resolution
Martin Indyk, former peace
talks envoy, says Israel may face a UN
Security Council resolution proposed
by all permanent members designed to
“lay out the principles of a two-state
solution.” Indyk expects such a resolu-
tion would be “against Israel’s will.” He
warned that if Israel’s new government
does not launch a diplomatic initiative
or if it opposes a two-state solution,
there will be “international actions”
pursued not by the Palestinians, but
by the International Community.
Arming Ukraine on the Table
Though the subject is hotly debated,
President Obama did confirm that his
administration weighed the possibil-
ity of sending arms to Ukraine to help
the country beat back Russian-backed
separatists, if diplomacy fails. Some say
the non-lethal aid presently being sent
to Ukraine will be ineffective.
Commit to Two-State Solution
Following Israeli Prime Minis-
ter Benjamin Netanyahu’s election
victory, UN Secretary General Ban
Ki-moon called Netanyahu and urged
him to renew Israel’s commitment to
a “two-state solution” to the Israeli-
Palestinian conflict. According to Ban’s
spokesman, the secretary general
reiterated his view that the two-state
solution was the only way forward and
urged the prime minister to renew
Israel’s commitment to that goal.
WORLD RELIGION
Permission to Convert to
Christianity?
Persecution of Christians and other re-
ligious minorities in Burma is expected
to worsen if a new religious conversion
bill makes it into law. In December
2014, President Thein Sein submitted
to Parliament a package of four draft

religion,” including the Religious
Conversion Bill that would require
anyone wishing to convert from one
religion to another to go before a
registration board, supply personal
information, and wait 90 days for
government permission.
Islamic State is ‘Apocalyptic Cult’
In a recent edition of the Islamic
State’s Dabiq magazine, an article
touched on the end time theology
that experts say drives the Islamic
State’s ongoing rampage. The article
describes Islam as the “religion of the
sword.” ISIS notes that the sword will
continue to be drawn against Islam’s
enemies until “Isa (Jesus) kills the
Dajjal (the Antichrist), after which,
‘Islam and its justice’ will prevail on
the entire earth.”
Three-Way Gay Marriage
The world’s first three-way gay
marriage has taken place in Thailand.
Three gay men exchanged marital vows
in a wedding sanctioned by the Bud-
dhist church. “Some people may not
agree and are probably amazed by our
decision, but we believe many people
do understand and accept our choice.
Love is love, after all,” said one of the
marriage partners.
Pope Francis and Climate Change
Eco-theologian and religious
environmental leader Rabbi Lawrence
Troster says that Pope Francis plans
to issue a papal encyclical on the
environment this summer. According
to Troster, it will be a document that
people of all faiths can use to increase
the attention paid to climate change
and the environment in their own
communities. Key UN meetings on
climate change will be held in Paris
this December. e
