In a sentence:

3. Science
In a sentence:

4. Ascend
(this is the verb)
In a sentence:
The balloon ascended in the air.

5. Descend
(this is the verb,
the opposite of ascend)
In a sentence:
The car descended the slope.

6. fascinating
In a sentence:
It’s really fascinating how these people
used to live in caves. Want me to tell
you about it?

7. discipline
In a sentence:
Sammy was naughty again, so his
father taught him some discipline.
So far, no success.

8. adolescent
In a sentence:
She complained that her adolescent
daughter didn’t want to talk to her,
but maybe she wasn’t talking to her
in the right way.

9. obscene
In a sentence:
“I don’t want to hear those
obscene words in my classroom,”
the teacher said.

10. transcend
In a sentence:
With a few good roles,
the actor was able to
transcend to a whole
new level of acting.

11. In a sentence:
The new mother needed
some time to convalesce
after the birth of her first
baby.
