This document provides an outline for a WordPress training module that teaches users how to make changes and add content to their WordPress website. The training covers how to log in to WordPress, add and edit pages and blog posts, add images to the media library and pages, and includes a quiz to test comprehension. Users are instructed to read through tutorials, follow along on their own site, and use the navigation to complete the module and quiz.

CONTENT TO YOUR WORDPRESS WEBSITE.

2. Course Outline
• How to login into your Wordpress website
• How to add and edit a page on your website
• How to add and edit a blog post on your website
• How to add images to the media library
• How to add images to page
• Quiz

3. Directions
• Read through the Wordpress tutorials and follow
along on your own website if you would like
• At the end of the section, you will be asked a
series of multiple choice questions
• Use the navigation in the lower right corner to
navigate the training module and quiz

4. How to login to Wordpress
• In the URL bar, type in your website
domain followed by “/wp-admin”. For
example, if the website is
hooplweb.com, type in
hooplaweb.com/wp-admin
• Type in your username and password
• Three unsuccessful login attempts
will lock you out of the account for 24
hours

5. How to Update a Page
• Once logged in, click on the “Pages”
tab in the left sidebar
• Find the page you wish to update
• Make the desired edits in the
WYSIWYG editor
• Click on the “preview” button to
ensure your desired results
• Click on the “update” button to
finalize changes

6. How to add a Page
• Once logged in, click on the “Pages”
tab in the left sidebar
• Click the Add New button
• Enter Title and the new content in the
WYSIWYG editor
• Click on the “preview” button to
ensure your desired results
• Click on the “Publish” button to
finalize changes

7. How to Edit a Blog post
• Once logged in, click on the “Posts”
tab in the left sidebar
• Locate the Post you wish to edit
• Make changes to the content in the
WYSIWYG editor
• Click on the “preview” button to
ensure your desired results
• Click on the “update” button to
finalize changes

8. How to Add a Blog post
• Once logged in, click on the “Posts”
tab in the left sidebar
• Locate the “Add New” post button at
the top of the Post page
• Add title and content in the
WYSIWYG editor
• Click on the “preview” button to
ensure your desired results
• Click on the “Publish” button to
finalize changes

9. How to Add Images to Media
library
• Once logged in, click on the “Media” tab
in the left sidebar
• Locate the “Add New” button or simply
drag and drop images over the screen
• Add image title and image alt tag
• Simply exit out of the image as it auto
saves
• *Note: max file size is 16mb and you
are able to drag and drop multiple
images

10. How to Add Images to pages
• Once logged in, click on the “Pages”
tab in the left sidebar
• Add new page or locate page you
want to add media to
• Locate the “Add Media” button
• Select image and choose what size
you would like to insert into the page
• Preview page, and if satisfied, publish
changes
