platform. It is hosted on WordPressservers.

6. Post vs. Page
Page - Top tier information that does not change
(about us, contact)
Post - Single article focused on a specific topic, event
or interest. Usually presented in reverse chorological
order. Posts can be categorized and tagged to help
sort content.
Custom Post Type – Similar to regular post but may
have a different layout or a specific purpose. (ex.
galleries, events)

7. Categories and Tags
Category - Your website table of contents. Like a
newspaper section or a table of contents in a
book.
Tags - Are index words. Keywords. Like an index
at the back of a book.

8. Widgets and Plugins
Plugins are bits of code that add functionality to
your site.
Widgets are areas in the side bar, footer or article
that support plugins

Themes are the look and feel of your website.
