Wonder Character Project
BY: CLAYTEN, TYLER, KAITLYN, ETHAN
Auggie
Auggie has Treacher Collins
Syndrome, and has anomalies with
his face. He feels normal, but no one
else sees him that way. Wonder tells
how he survives through 5th grade.
Character bio/background
 Auggie’s family members’ names are Nate Pullman,
Auggie’s father, Isabel Pullman, Auggie’s mom, Via,
Auggie’s sister, and Darth Daisy Pullman, the family
dog. After Daisy died, they got a new dog named
Bear. Jack Will is his closest friend, along with Summer.
Auggie calls Miranda ‘Major Tom’ and she is Via’s
friend. Via and Miranda used to dress up Auggie and
play with him. Julian Albans made fun of Auggie and
was mean to him.
Major/Minor Character
Auggie Pullman is definitely a
Major Character, because August
is mentioned in every part of the
book. All the actions revolve
around him. There would be no
book without August.
Static/Dynamic character
 Auggie Pullman is a dynamic character
because he changes overtime due to
occurring events in the story. In the
beginning of the book, Auggie was
heavyhearted because he felt like he
couldn’t do anything due to his face. At the
end of the book, Auggie was fitting,
because he had friends and was fitting into
his grade and school.
Round/Flat Character
Auggie is a round character because
R.J. Palacio says everything there is to
know about Auggie in the book. She
says everything about his personality,
thoughts and feelings. Auggie felt
ordinary, but everyone else didn’t see
him that way, and the author explains
how with other characters.
