3. August Pullman’s family consists of Via, his fourteen
year old sister, his mother and father, Isabella and
Nate Pullman.
He has a best friend named Jack Will, and another
friend named Summer Dawson.
His enemy is Julian Albans, who is rude and obnoxious
to August in the story.
August likes playing video games and Star Wars. He
doesn’t like going out in public a lot, because people
can see his face.
August is involved in the science elective.

4. August is a major character because
in the story August’s sister Via says,
“August is the sun. Me and Mom and
Dad are planets orbiting the Sun.”
Also, Via’s distant friend calls
August. Not to talk to Via, but to
talk to August. And Mr. Tushman met
with August before the school year
started. August is a major character
because the story revolves around
him.

5. August is a dynamic character because in the story
he changes. He becomes more confident, he has
more friends, and he becomes a better person
overall.
He starts standing up for himself, and he is more
brave because he went and stayed a few days at
the Broarwood Nature Reserve in Pennsylvania.

we know details about his family and friends,
we know about what he likes and what he
