This document outlines a Women's Cell that will be established at a college to ensure a safe and secure environment for all women. The cell will have all female students and staff as members. Its mission is to create a gender-sensitive environment and provide guidelines against sexual harassment to allow women to live with dignity. The cell aims to provide a safe place for women to work and study without threats and deal with cases of sexual, psychological, or emotional harassment appropriately. It defines sexual harassment and says any unwanted sexually determined behavior violating a woman's dignity falls under it. The document explains that any female employee or student can lodge a confidential complaint by contacting a cell member in person, by phone, or email.

the women in the institute.
Besides, all the women and girls teaching or
studying in the institute are the members of
this committee.

3. Mission
 To work towards a gender sensitive and
congenial environment.
 To provide guidelines for protection from
sexual harassment and right to live with
dignity.

4. Aim & Objective
 To provide a Safe Working Environment in
which women and girls can work and study
without threats to their security.
 To safeguard the issues concerning all women
and girls working or studying in the institute.
 To deal with the cases of
Sexual/Psychological/Emotional Harassment
in an appropriate manner.

5. What Constitutes Sexual
Harassment?
 Each such incident (of harassment) results in violation of the
fundamental rights of "gender equality" and the "right to life
and liberty". It is a clear violation of the rights under Articles 14,
15 and 21 of the Constitution. One of the logical consequences of
such an incident is also the violation of the victim’s fundamental
right under Article 19 (1) (g) ‘to practice any profession or to carry
out any occupation, trade or business′. Such violations, therefore,
attract remedy under Article 32 for the enforcement of these
fundamental rights of women.
 Any unwelcome or unwanted sexually determined behavior
(physical, verbal or non verbal contact) violating any woman's
dignity comes under sexual harassment. It also includes gender
based discrimination.

6. Who can approach the cell?
Any woman employee or female student of CEMK.
How to lodge a complaint?
The person concerned can contact personally/
through phone/write Email to any member of the cell.
The identity of the concerned person will remain
confidential.
Care would be taken to handle the issue in a
sensitive manner and dignity of the person will be
protected.
