INTRODUCTION
 A woman is a female human. The
term woman is usually reserved
for an adult, with the term girl
being the usual term for a female
child or adolescent. However, the
term woman is also sometimes
used to identify a female human.
 Media is a cultural force which not
only reflects the social reality but
also modifies it according to the
demands of the age .

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
Any act of gender-
based violence that
results in, or is likely
to result in, physical,
sexual or mental
harm or suffering to
women, including
threats of such acts,
coercion or arbitrary
deprivation of liberty,
whether occurring in
public or in private
life.

CLOTHING OF WOMEN
Women in different parts of the world
dress in different ways, with their choices
of clothing being influenced by local
culture, religious tenets traditions, social
norms, and fashion trends, amongst other
factors. Different societies have different
ideas about modesty.

LITRACY FOR WOMEN
World literacy is lower for females than for
males. The CIA World Factbook presents
an estimate from 2010 which shows that
80% of women are literate, compared to
88.6% of men (aged 15 and over).
Literacy rates are lowest in South and
West Asia, and in parts of Sub-Saharan
Africa.

In 1992, women earned 9 percent of the
Ph.D.'s awarded in engineering but only
one percent of those women became a
professor.[citation needed] In 1995, 11
percent of professors in science and
engineering were women. In relation, only
311 deans of engineering schools were
women, which is less than 1 percent of the
total.

 From the earliest years of ancient times, women’s status
were defined by their relationship to men. A woman was
in second place to the man never the first.
 Since early historical times, women have been
considered not only intellectually inferior to men but also
a major source of temptation and evil.
 A woman of these times could not be entrusted to handle
her own private affairs, or support her self.

WOMEN DEVELOPMENT
 During the past decade, advances in information
technology have facilitated a global communications
network.
 Everywhere the potential exists for the media to make a
far greater contribution to the advancement of women.
 The continued projection of negative and degrading
images of women in media communications - electronic,
print, visual and audio - must be changed.

 Print and electronic media in most countries do not
provide a balanced picture of women's diverse lives and
contributions to society in a changing world.
 Instead of all this i think women also degarded her self
by their own.
 Because womens in media they show thier self as a
potrait to be hanged on wall for beauty.
 Womens also shown thier work in best way to show the
world that are also have instalement in progress of a
society.

 As journalism became a profession, women were
restricted by custom and law from access to
journalism occupations, and faced significant
discrimination within the profession. Nevertheless,
women operated as editors, reporters, sports analyst
and journalists even before the 1890s.
 womens in media that's why womens have fought
for thier rights in society and aware for their
importance in society.

 Furthermore, an average woman sees 400 to 600
adversements per day, and by the me she is 17 years
old, she receives over250,000 commercial messages
through the media.
 The past week was significant for Pakistani women as
our Senate unanimously passed two pro-women bills
which now specifically criminalise acid attacks on women
and other anti-women customs such as wani and savara.

WOMEN DEVELOPMENT
 Pakistani media has recently undergone many changes,
including the role women play in it. It is striving to create
awareness among masses about women’s rights and
speaks largely about feminism.
 Media has a detrimental role to play and doesn’t
facilitate women in any way.
 The drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai was a great success by
the media in showing a positive image of women in the
society and her cultural importance.

 Most of the time, media shows negative things regarding
women but this drama turned the direction to 180
degrees.
 Women in media have immense power and are gaining
significance in Pakistan.
 Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Pakistani filmmaker and Oscar
winner, encouraged girls and students in general to
stand up for the truth and speak their mind.
