Wireless Devices and Applications
I. INTRODUCTION
In these modern times when communication has become a fundamental tool for progress and
advancement on many terms, it is already considered an imperative for many companies and
businesses to improve their communication and information technology. The advent of new
technologies and the introduction of newer softwares and tools necessary for survival in the tough
and competitive market make it possible for many businesses and companies to reach their
employees, other partner markets or businesses and even their customers while on the move. This is
the gift of wireless devices and applications technology.
Wireless devices and applications (WDA) are used by many organizations in their various
operations because it has many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It's like being trapped in a black hole and you'll get mad repeating it over and over again. Seriously,
a customer wouldn't be impressed by this system. It may be true that WDA gives us a lot of
conveniences than ever but it's like investing on your business' graveyard if you leave your
communication unit unmanaged and unpolished. As Krotz (2008) suggested, technology, indeed,
can never replace human help for customers. Excellent customer service still depends on how
personnel treats and interacts with the customers, not with how efficient the WDA works.
WIRELESS USAGE EXPENSE. Constant calls by the employees not only to unwilling customers
but even to the offices just to check their mails or any agenda also contributes to towering wireless
bills from service providers. The problem with some employees is that they have fooled themselves
that wireless technology is also charge–free. Actually, it is otherwise. Companies spend a lot on
these services and by "lot" it may mean hundreds of thousands to even millions for communication
alone. Aside from these business calls, there are still other calls which are out of the business or
under the table calls which these employees may make. The high cost that the company pays may
not lead to anything useful at all. In the case where an employee's call credit has exceeded the
amount of money his customer/s has brought

Smartphones And Cellphones
Cell phones and technology in general has advanced a lot over the last ten years. Allowing students
to be able to take their phones or devices wherever they want in today's society. Thus bringing
forward the issue of cell phone distraction in the classroom. "Concerns about cell phones in the
classrooms are also grounded in what we know about teenage brains, including the inability to
concentrate while multi tasking and possibly long term effects on overall health" (12) Multitasking
is hard enough and if teens are doing this in the classroom that means that kids are not learning
enough while staring at their phones while the teacher is teaching. Having said this a study from
Pew research center stated that "78 percent of teens check their devices hourly", this is insane. If that
is true that means on average a student will at least look at her/his device once per class period. As
being a student in high school i find this to be very true. Another study from Pew Research center
stated that "50% of teens 13–18 feel addicted to their phones", this means that means separating
from their phones will be tough. The reason i am writing about this topic is to inform people about
this epidemic and i am stating why this needs to be fixed. "Unlike other technologies there is
something very specific about smartphones it represents life, entertainment, social CELL PHONE

networks, Section III will introduce objectives of the 5G mobile network, Section IV will talk about
goals to be evaluated in 5G wireless network communications, and Section V will present some
concluding remarks.
II. Evolution of mobile wireless networks
In the recent years, wireless technologies have taken a new dimension in the ways society lives.
Wireless broadband is available to everyone. Whether the users are at home, driving the car, sitting
in the park, and it would even work while people are a pleasure boat ride in the middle of a lake.
And because of this, the need to have information at any time and be connected in all places, all the
time has been satisfied.
In terms of architecture, it has been very challenging to provide platform, and ability to render
service with high availability from the providers of the first generation (1G) networks to 4G

Mobile Phones And Its Effect On Our Lives
The remarkable thing about mobile phones is that they are no more simply utilized for calling or
messaging. They have turned into a basic multi–device wonder. Today 's mobile phone is flow edge
innovation readily available. In light of this, ought to understudies be allowed to utilize mobile
phones in school? I trust they must not simply be allowed to utilize mobile phones; they must to be
required to utilize them. Mobile phones don 't simply permit understudies to stay associated with
family and companions, they are additionally a fabulous learning asset, and they boost the capable
utilization of innovation. In the first place, Mobile phones make it workable for understudies to stay
in contact with family and companions. An understudy can call home and request that a relative
present to them an overlooked task or lunch cash or to come lift them up on the off chance that they
are wiped out. Likewise, phones permit folks to monitor their youngsters ' whereabouts some time
recently, amid, and after school. What 's more, obviously, there 's dependably the likelihood of an
understudy expecting to contact a guardian in light of a perilous circumstance. Consequently, having
a mobile phone is similar to having a watchman holy messenger. Understudies can likewise

Advantages And Disadvantages Of 4g
In networking technology, wireless is the term used to describe any network where there is no
physical wired connection between sender and receiver, but rather the network by radio waves or
micro waves to maintain communications. The evolution of technology specially in mobile
technology is the most and fast developing, that era starts from 1G in 1980s and it is replaced by a
continuous emerging of next generations. To compensate the drawbacks of each previous generation
next generation with lot of new applications is introduced. Now it is fourth generation that is 4G,
beyond 4G now researches are going on about 5G and it will come into existence by 2020s. In the
near future, i.e., beyond 4G, some of the prime objectives or demands that need to be addressed are
increased capacity, improved data rate, decreased latency, and better quality of service. To meet
these demands, drastic improvements need to be made in cellular network architecture. This paper
presents the results of a detailed survey on the fifth generation (5G) cellular network architecture
and some of the key emerging technologies that are helpful in improving the architecture and
meeting the demands of users. A detailed survey is included regarding all wireless generations

Wireless Technologies Essay
Wireless Technologies Wireless technology is widely used throughout different countries and
governments, and is one of the most fast–growing and needed technologies on the market today.
While in the past it has been looked at as something that is not needed, now is necessary. Most
companies have main business functions that occur outside the main office, and taking a laptop
computer into the field helps the need to complete services particular to that business. Globally, the
wireless field is expanding and both people and business are beginning to heavily depend on its
services all over the world. Wireless technology has also become more popular in the field of
education and is being taken in by not only university ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Companies offer services such as free weekends and nights, rollover minutes, and family packages
where if you buy 2 cell phones you get a third one for free. As time goes by, the wide us of cell
phones for both the average person and business is evolving into something that is mandatory to
have and cannot go without. Not to mention the physical aspect of how the cell phones are evolving
and getting smaller and smaller. The use of cell phones has also even impacted the amendment of
laws. Currently in the state of New York and Texas it is illegal to talk on the phone while driving a
vehicle. Since cell phones have become such a large part of our every day lives, safety issues must
be taken into affect and assessed where needed.
Wireless technology has now moved beyond the home computer with the high–speed Internet and
moved into our schools. Both students and staff on university campuses have interests in creating
mobile computing labs utilizing laptop computers equipped with wireless Ethernet cards. Wireless is
being adopted for many new applications and providing a solution for environments where wires
may not be the best solution. Schools that are being constructed are building computer labs strictly
for wireless access, and classrooms that can adapt to such use. Schools of all levels are making the
use of wireless technology a widely used technology inside classrooms which then forces the

Wireless communication helps businesses more easily stay in touch with customers, suppliers, and
employees and provides more flexible arrangements for organizing work. Wireless technology has
also created new products, services, and sales channels. If one requires mobile communication and
computing power or remote access to corporate systems, you can work with an array of wireless
devices: cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and smart phones. Personal computers are
also starting to be used in wireless transmission. Mobile laptop computers equipped with wireless
network interface cards link to the wired LAN by communicating with the access point. The access
point uses radio waves to transmit network signals from the wired network to the client adapters,
which convert them into data that the mobile device can understand. The client adapter then
transmits the data from the mobile device back to the access point, which forwards the data to the
wired network. In order to get the Dirt Bikes Company up and running smoothly I would
recommend that they install a data base system. With a data base system they will be able to input

The Impact Of Technology On Business Communication
Despite some of the new wireless devices potentially causing work distractions, in addition to few
staff members not having the expertise to use the devices or application, Technology nevertheless
has improved the options for communicating in the business world. Wireless devices and the
ongoing growing technology options continue to assist employees to work more efficiently, in
addition to the time saved using these devices versus the preceding options.
Mobile technology is continuing to change the method of how we practice business communication
in countless ways. It is very common nowadays for most people to own their own devices and bring
them to work. According to Smith (2016) "The number of mobile phone users is estimated to rise to
4.77 billion in 2017" (p. 1). This changes the options for day to day communication between
individuals. Information can be sent with a simple text, an e–mail, video chat, and all can be
retrieved on their cell phones or wireless devices. Quickly one can gather team members and
arrange a one on one meeting. Previously before the advancements in mobile technology, one would
be required to schedule and arrange a meeting in a physical location, in addition to finding the
proper time that could work into everyone's schedule. At times, there may have been meetings that
may have required members from other countries or states, they would have had taken the
appropriate means of transportation to attend the meeting. Even with the land line phones

In this scenario, consumers are recognized by the signals they emit, most likely from their wireless
phones or PDAs, and they can purchase goods and services from vending machines and businesses
without having to use a checkbook, credit card or cash. But making the wireless wallet a reality will
require an evolution of both technology and consumer attitudes that is still far in the distance.
Moreover, at the commerce phase, in which consumers should realize that using wireless devices to
purchase real goods in the physical world does not necessarily deliver those goods to their wireless
device. It will be a challenge to convince consumers to leave their credit cards at home and let their
phones do the purchasing. In addition to this, consumers will need easy–to–carry wireless devices
that they will always have with them, and terminals will have to be available at stores or in vending
machines. Both of these devices must have the necessary infrastructure to enable transactions. Last,
and most difficult, there must be a worldwide standards initiatives. However, the most important
aspect is to explain to the consumers, what is their bennefit to use the services of m–commerce,

Elements of a Marketing Plan, Clarity
Whether a company is just starting out or is trying to generate better results from current marketing
techniques and strategies, it all begins with a marketing plan. A marketing plan is a guide for the
marketing department of a company for a set time in the future, this could be 2 year or 7 years
(Kerin, Hartley, & Rudelius, 2015). While each plan differs from one company to the next, there are
some key features that need to be included. A marketing plan should include an analysis of where
the business is, who the target market is, what the goals are for the selected time frame, what tactics

products that can only be found on Clarity's websites. Along with almost customized customer
service, Clarity is in the process of moving the Technical Support Department to another facility that
can employ more members. This move will help with taking more calls at faster rates, which will
improve customer satisfaction.
Lessons From Geek Squad There are a few things that can be taken away from the Geek Squad case.
One thing, do not be afraid to change. This is pretty obvious, but companies should not be afraid to
change what they are doing or have been doing. Another thing to note, listen to the customer's
needs, pay attention to them. A company that pays attention to their customer's wants and needs will
go a whole lot further than a company that pay little to no attention to theirs. Lastly, keep the
competition close. Not close in the sense of right behind the company in the market, rather close like
a best friend, kind of know all their insides and outs.
Conclusion
A marketing plan is an essential tool for any business to succeed. A market plan can help a company
develop new products or service that

Unit 1 Assignment 1: Voice vs. Data
Cell phones: A mobile phone (also known as a cellular phone, cell phone, and a hand phone) is a
device that can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide
geographic area. It does so by connecting to a cellular network provided by a mobile phone
operator, allowing access to the public telephone network. By contrast, a cordless telephone is used
only within the short range of a single, private base station.
In addition to telephony, modern mobile phones also support a wide variety of other services such as
text messaging, MMS, email, Internet access, short–range wireless communications (infrared,

Fax Machines: Fax (short for facsimile), sometimes called telecopying or telefax, is the telephonic
transmission of scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a telephone number
connected to a printer or other output device. The original document is scanned with a fax machine
(or a telecopier), which processes the contents (text or images) as a single fixed graphic image,
converting it into a bitmap, and then transmitting it through the telephone system. The receiving fax
machine reconverts the coded image, printing a paper copy. For many decades before digital
technology became widespread the scanned data was transmitted as analog.
Pagers: A pager is a wireless telecommunications device that receives and displays numeric or text
messages, or receives and announces voice messages. One–way pagers can only receive messages,
while response pagers and two–way pagers can also acknowledge, reply to, and originate messages
using an internal transmitter.[1] Pagers operate as part of a paging system which includes one or
more fixed transmitters (or in the case of response pagers and two–way pagers, one or more base
stations), as well as a number of pagers carried by mobile users. These systems can range from a
restaurant system with a single low–power transmitter, to a nationwide system with thousands of
high–power base stations.

NFL Digital Media Strategy Case 3/6/2013 The Sky is the Limit...If You Don't Limit Partnerships
The NFL is an American treasure. During the season, people of all races, political affiliations, and
backgrounds come together to watch football. People have an unbelievable amount of pride in their
favorite teams and everyone seems to have an opinion about the latest game or who the best players
are. The NFL is for all Americans to enjoy and therefore, I think the best mobile strategy is to form
non–exclusive partnerships with multiple wireless carriers. The strategy I would move forward with
would be to partner with several wireless carriers, each with their own deals so Verizon, AT&T,

And are generally agnostic – and growing more so – about the company or service from which they
source those items." NFL fans don't care what wireless provider the NFL partners with, they just
want access to the content. The NFL is also very considered with its revenue streams and I think this
strategy could make them more money in the long run. By opening up partnerships to all wireless
companies, the partnership fee would obviously be smaller but the sum could potentially be greater
than the revenue from just one exclusive partnership. Also, once the wireless providers have signed
partnership agreements they will all be competing for advertising opportunities during games, at the
games, on the websites and on the mobile applications. Competition drives prices up so there is
potential for charging more for advertising opportunities than the current prices. The NFL could also
charge for downloading the mobile applications and I think most fans would be willing to pay a few
dollars to get access. The target market for mobile apps then would include all fans that have mobile
service through one of the partner providers instead of only a small percentage. Bill Gorman, co–
founder of TVbytheNumbers.com, referenced a 2011 Adweek/Harris Poll survey finding that almost
two thirds of U.S. adults say they currently watch NFL football (64%) which is roughly 238,574,000

some people take advantage therefore it contributes to obesity. Most of the technology has been
invented for the great demand on them, it has also helped medical advances. Wireless technology
just helps makes our lives run by smoother, than if we still had everything wired.

People did not have to carry around change in order to use the pay phone, which in the long run was
more expensive than purchasing a cell phone. Another advantage was when on the road, anyone had
an emergency people would have to find a pay phone to call for help. Now people just call from
their cars without having to get off.
The next wireless technology became laptops, or compact computers with no cords. These new
computers are great for travelers, business people, students, and anyone that uses one. Not only does
a laptop give the option of using the computer while moving around places, it is also a compact
computer so it takes up much less space. The regular PCs are a big box plus the monitor and the
speakers. Laptops have all of that included in it, and are still smaller than the PC box. Another great

The Impact Of Wireless Communication Industry On The...
This report is meant to advise Mr. Van Hanebanker and his partners on my recommendation in
regards to investing in Wind Mobile. A decision must be made regarding this investment before the
spectrum auction in April. This spectrum auction is crucial to Wind Mobile growing in the wireless
industry in Canada. The wireless industry in Canada presents a unique opportunity for investment
due to the oligopolistic structure and market breakdown. Currently, there are three major players in
the industry and there is extensive room for growth and development as an industry and for Wind
Mobile itself to gain significant market share. Some of the factors I will consider over the course of
this analysis and recommendation include: the wireless communication industry in Canada, growth
and competition in the industry and growth of Wind Mobile, and Canada's current economic state.
Within these brackets, assessments of the average revenue per user, the growth in subscribers and
other indicators of Wind's performance will be analyzed. They will be compared to industry
standards and may demonstrate how Wind compares with the "Big 3" firms, who benefit from
aspects such as economies of scale. I believe my assessment will give Mr. Van Hanebanker a good
overall idea of the pros and cons, and considerations he and his colleagues need to consider when
making their final decision. As the senior business analyst at Caverly Investment Solutions Inc. my
analysis should be a helpful tool when making a

Technical Advancement in the Field of Telecommunication The move into the Information Society
is driven by the market for new information and communications technologies and services. Whilst
the large number of technologies and services and their providers bring expectations of higher
economic growth, there has been a growing concern about the social, ethical, cultural, political and

Wireless Communications: Explosive Growth.
Explosive growth of wireless communications technology continues as the industry experiences new
subscribers and lower prices for services. The U.S. market had 100 million wireless subscribers in
year 2000, a 16.2 percent rise from 1999 of 86 million. In 1993, there were only 16 million wireless
subscribers, a rise of 525 percent rise in subscribers over 7 years. Market penetration rose 33 percent
in 2000. In 1993, market penetration was only 6 percent. The explosive growth can largely be
attributed to intensive competition which forces prices down and increase cellular phone usage. In
fact, the market for wireless voice services is becoming mature. Growth rates and heavy competition
are restricting profit margins.
The U.S. telecommunications services industry will continue to expand in 2001. The popularity of
wireless phones has increased the demand for wireless cellular telephone service and reduced the
demand for in–building wired phones. Approximately 50 percent of the population has access to a
wireless phone. With increased usage of wireless phones, the cost structure should be affordable to
the greater population.
Cellular phone growth has fueled expansion of network infrastructure expansion as well. In mid–
2000, there were 95,753 cellular sites. In 1999, there were 74,157 cellular sites. This is year–to–year

Wireless Industry Essay
Over the past decade the wireless telecommunications industry has undergone a multitude of
changes and experienced rapid growth. Developments in technology and consumer demand have
fueled this growth and research shows that this growth will continue in the years to come. This
paper will analyze the basis for these trends in consumption patterns, to include the utility derived
from the products, changes in demand, market prices and the elasticity of demand of wireless
services.
Utility is defined as the "satisfaction one get from consuming a good or service" (Colander, 2004,
p.179). The utility derived from the use of wireless communications devices includes freedom from
being tied to one place, the hope of increased productivity, and cost ... Show more content on

This trend almost guarantees that demand for wireless products and services will continue to grow
for many years across many sectors. Today, managers and business leaders may be apprehensive to
adopt new wireless technologies over their current wire–bound infrastructures because of quality
and security concerns. This new generation of workers has already entered the workplace and as
they come into positions of more power and influence they are more likely to deploy wireless
solutions, which they have already adopted and become comfortable with. Another growth factor of
the wireless industry is the decrease in market prices and the price elasticity of demand for wireless
products and services.
Advances in technology and increased competition explain the decrease in market prices in the
wireless industry over the past few years. Growth projections of the industry have created an
incentive for more telecommunications carriers to enter the market, resulting in increased
competition. This increased competition has made demand for wireless products and services
elastic, meaning that the percentage change in quantity would be greater than any percentage change
in price (Colander, 2004). This will cause wireless product and service providers to keep prices low
and offer other non–monetary incentives to attract potential customers. But

How Has Wireless Technology Affected My Life
Wireless technology has had a great impact on how we carry out our day to day activities. We no
longer have to be at a specific point in order to receive information. Today we can receive
information on the go making us more efficient and flexible. The greatest effect wireless technology
has had in our lives is the effect it has had at our work places.
Today with wireless technology you do not need to be at your desk to receive work emails. The
smart phones allow us to receive emails wherever we are at anytime. The mobile phone has also
made it easier for the employer to find his employee anytime especially in cases of emergency,
where initially the employer would have to call the house number and leave a message if no one
answered the phone. Today a lawyer may review his case notes on his tablet before sending it to
printing. An architect can review a drawing and send the adjustments to the client or engineer via the
internet very fast.
As far as the IT department is concerned the need for running cables is no longer there, all you need

CDMA:
From the time mobile phones were introduced in the country in 1997, until the end of 2002, the
market was dominated by just one technology, namely, GSM. In December 2002, Reliance
Communications (then known as Reliance Infocomm) launched CDMA services across 17 circles on
a countrywide basis. CDMA has since been growing faster than GSM; although on a lower base.
Most Indian consumers are unaware of the nitty–gritty of the two technologies. So the deciding
factor between the two technologies is often based on price and other conditions of offer such as the
coverage of the service, ease of obtaining a new connection and whether a handset is available at a
reduced price as part of the deal.
Given this sort of a possibility of perfect substitution between the two types of technologies, the
existence of the two standards has made both the markets for GSM and CDMA services very
competitive. This is especially so when the market for CDMA services is highly concentrated with
just two service providers accounting for almost the entire output.

Taking a Look at a Cellular Network
Cellular network
A cellular network or is a means of communication network disseminated more than land areas

all their instantaneous relationship to cells to keep away from any intrusion.
When attached mutually these cells make available radio exposure more than a extensive geographic

But the transition to a greater wireless focus has proved painful. In order for RadioShack to properly
evaluate and resole this issue it must apply the systems organizational behavior theory. This theory
evaluates companies as individual yet interconnected pieces of a much larger operation. If the
management team of the company alters just one facet of a department, it may cause aftershocks
which echo through other departments. Under this theory, it is important to comprehend that a
dynamic equilibrium must exist in order for the company to continue operating efficiently. That
being said, RadioShack's increased focus on wireless needs to be examined and addressed. In an
effort to regain the wireless lead from retailers, such as Wal–Mart, RadioShack is continuing to
expand its wireless kiosks and replacing long time partner, Verizon Wireless, with Cingular
Wireless. One thing is for certain. RadioShack acknowledges they need to react more rapidly than in
the past to the ever changing retail environment, if they plan to survive. Survival requires
adaptation, and adaptation often involves predictable sequences. As the organization ages, it will

cell phone distraction in the classroom. "Concerns about cell phones in the classrooms are also
grounded in what we know about teenage brains, including the inability to concentrate while multi
tasking and possibly long term effects on overall health" (12) Multitasking is hard enough and if
teens are doing this in the classroom that means that kids are not learning enough while staring at
their phones while the teacher is teaching. Having said this a study from Pew research center stated
that "78 percent of teens check their devices hourly", this is insane. If that is true that means on
average a student will at least look at her/his device once per class period. As being a student in high
school i find this to be very true. Another study from Pew Research center stated that "50% of teens
13–18 feel addicted to their phones", this means that means separating from their phones will be

example snapchat will flash the camera light when the student receives a snap from someone. A

is growing brings up many issues for Mobile Commerce. Before I begin the actual detailed
information I would like to discuss some history on mobile commerce. M–commerce was reportedly
born in 1997 when the first two mobile phone–enabled Coke vending machines accepted
information for payment via mobile text messages (Lee,2015). Mobile commerce has no age limit,
ranging from elder people to teenagers. It is more simply defined as any direct or indirect

Zapped, By Dr. Ann Louise Gittlem Chapter Summary
From cell phones and CrackBerries to iPhones and laptops, technology has become such an integral
part of our daily lives, we wouldn't know how to live without it.
However, as convenient as these devices are, a new book argues they may take a not–well–known
toll on our health. In "Zapped: Why Your Cell Phone Shouldn't Be Your Alarm Clock and 1,268
Ways to Outsmart the Hazards of Electronic Pollution," Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman, author of the
New York Times bestseller "Fat Flush Plan," as well as 30 other books on health and nutrition,
explores the various ways our bodies are affected by "electronic pollution" –– and how to protect
ourselves from these electromagnetic frequencies, or EMFs.
We had the chance to talk to Dr. Gittleman and find out how her own health scare inspired the book,
and, according to her research, how your laptop may prevent you from having kids, and what's in
asparagus that can protect you from evil EMFs.

While there is the potential of conversations being heard over cordless phones, what should be more
troubling is the potential for conversations being heard over the baby monitor. While a cordless
phone may capture only what can be transmitted through the mouth piece transmitter, a baby
monitor has the capability to capture sounds in larger areas. As phone systems became less reliant on
land lines, privacy issues have risen as to the expectations of privacy by law enforcement. Courts
struggle with the issue of cell phone conversations and the expectancy of privacy especially with the
wireless transmission process. (Sengupta, S. 2013)
While much of the public has experienced or is aware of the potential of conversations being heard
over cordless phones and baby monitors very few complaints about invasion of privacy were made.
This also has not stopped the use of them nor has this awareness guided many in using due diligence
in certain illegal or immoral activities. Whether this is a conscious choice or not, it seems this

technology to prevent their nationalization. The legacy of communication business left a lot of
competitive companies in the sector for development. However despite all the reasons mentioned
above, emerging demand for such technology from global market would be the greatest reason why
mobile communication industry emerged in Finland and made Finland a world–leading nation in
mobile communication.

Wireless Devices And Applications

  • 1. Wireless Devices and Applications I. INTRODUCTION In these modern times when communication has become a fundamental tool for progress and advancement on many terms, it is already considered an imperative for many companies and businesses to improve their communication and information technology. The advent of new technologies and the introduction of newer softwares and tools necessary for survival in the tough and competitive market make it possible for many businesses and companies to reach their employees, other partner markets or businesses and even their customers while on the move. This is the gift of wireless devices and applications technology. Wireless devices and applications (WDA) are used by many organizations in their various operations because it has many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It's like being trapped in a black hole and you'll get mad repeating it over and over again. Seriously, a customer wouldn't be impressed by this system. It may be true that WDA gives us a lot of conveniences than ever but it's like investing on your business' graveyard if you leave your communication unit unmanaged and unpolished. As Krotz (2008) suggested, technology, indeed, can never replace human help for customers. Excellent customer service still depends on how personnel treats and interacts with the customers, not with how efficient the WDA works. WIRELESS USAGE EXPENSE. Constant calls by the employees not only to unwilling customers but even to the offices just to check their mails or any agenda also contributes to towering wireless bills from service providers. The problem with some employees is that they have fooled themselves that wireless technology is also charge–free. Actually, it is otherwise. Companies spend a lot on these services and by "lot" it may mean hundreds of thousands to even millions for communication alone. Aside from these business calls, there are still other calls which are out of the business or under the table calls which these employees may make. The high cost that the company pays may not lead to anything useful at all. In the case where an employee's call credit has exceeded the amount of money his customer/s has brought ... • 3. Smartphones And Cellphones Cell phones and technology in general has advanced a lot over the last ten years. Allowing students to be able to take their phones or devices wherever they want in today's society. Thus bringing forward the issue of cell phone distraction in the classroom. "Concerns about cell phones in the classrooms are also grounded in what we know about teenage brains, including the inability to concentrate while multi tasking and possibly long term effects on overall health" (12) Multitasking is hard enough and if teens are doing this in the classroom that means that kids are not learning enough while staring at their phones while the teacher is teaching. Having said this a study from Pew research center stated that "78 percent of teens check their devices hourly", this is insane. If that is true that means on average a student will at least look at her/his device once per class period. As being a student in high school i find this to be very true. Another study from Pew Research center stated that "50% of teens 13–18 feel addicted to their phones", this means that means separating from their phones will be tough. The reason i am writing about this topic is to inform people about this epidemic and i am stating why this needs to be fixed. "Unlike other technologies there is something very specific about smartphones it represents life, entertainment, social CELL PHONE DISTRACTION 4 media, and gaming" ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After moving to Mumbai, he imported thousands of Suzuki Motors's portable electric generators from Japan. It was in this starting years, that Sunil got disappointed. The importing of the generators were suddenly banned by the Indian Government and the issuing license for manufacturing generators were given to two companies hence no space for Sunil's company. In 1984, he thought of bringing a boom onto the field of cordless telecom in India. He then started assembling push button phones into this country from a Taiwan company. Bharti telecom Limited was incorporated and entered into a technical tie up with Siemens AG of Germany for manufacture of electronic push button phones. Sunil Mittal once said, "In 1983, the government banned the import on generators. I was out of business overnight. Everything I was doing then came to a screeching halt. I was ruined. They have turned into a basic multi–device wonder. Today 's mobile phone is flow edge innovation readily available. In light of this, ought to understudies be allowed to utilize mobile phones in school? I trust they must not simply be allowed to utilize mobile phones; they must to be required to utilize them. Mobile phones don 't simply permit understudies to stay associated with family and companions, they are additionally a fabulous learning asset, and they boost the capable utilization of innovation. In the first place, Mobile phones make it workable for understudies to stay in contact with family and companions. An understudy can call home and request that a relative present to them an overlooked task or lunch cash or to come lift them up on the off chance that they are wiped out. Likewise, phones permit folks to monitor their youngsters ' whereabouts some time recently, amid, and after school. What 's more, obviously, there 's dependably the likelihood of an understudy expecting to contact a guardian in light of a perilous circumstance. Consequently, having a mobile phone is similar to having a watchman holy messenger. Moreover, at the commerce phase, in which consumers should realize that using wireless devices to purchase real goods in the physical world does not necessarily deliver those goods to their wireless device. It will be a challenge to convince consumers to leave their credit cards at home and let their phones do the purchasing. In addition to this, consumers will need easy–to–carry wireless devices that they will always have with them, and terminals will have to be available at stores or in vending machines. Elements If a Marketing Pln Elements of a Marketing Plan, Clarity Will Terrill MKT/421 February 22, 2016 Michael Ricco Elements of a Marketing Plan, Clarity Whether a company is just starting out or is trying to generate better results from current marketing techniques and strategies, it all begins with a marketing plan. A marketing plan is a guide for the marketing department of a company for a set time in the future, this could be 2 year or 7 years (Kerin, Hartley, & Rudelius, 2015). While each plan differs from one company to the next, there are some key features that need to be included. This move will help with taking more calls at faster rates, which will improve customer satisfaction. Lessons From Geek Squad There are a few things that can be taken away from the Geek Squad case. One thing, do not be afraid to change. This is pretty obvious, but companies should not be afraid to change what they are doing or have been doing. Another thing to note, listen to the customer's needs, pay attention to them. A company that pays attention to their customer's wants and needs will go a whole lot further than a company that pay little to no attention to theirs. Lastly, keep the competition close. Not close in the sense of right behind the company in the market, rather close like a best friend, kind of know all their insides and outs. Conclusion A marketing plan is an essential tool for any business to succeed. A market plan can help a company develop new products or service that

Data Unit 1 Assignment 1: Voice vs. Data Cell phones: A mobile phone (also known as a cellular phone, cell phone, and a hand phone) is a device that can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area. It does so by connecting to a cellular network provided by a mobile phone operator, allowing access to the public telephone network. By contrast, a cordless telephone is used only within the short range of a single, private base station. In addition to telephony, modern mobile phones also support a wide variety of other services such as text messaging, MMS, email, Internet access, short–range wireless communications (infrared, Bluetooth), business applications, gaming and photography. Fax Machines: Fax (short for facsimile), sometimes called telecopying or telefax, is the telephonic transmission of scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a telephone number connected to a printer or other output device. The original document is scanned with a fax machine (or a telecopier), which processes the contents (text or images) as a single fixed graphic image, converting it into a bitmap, and then transmitting it through the telephone system. The receiving fax machine reconverts the coded image, printing a paper copy. For many decades before digital technology became widespread the scanned data was transmitted as analog. Pagers: A pager is a wireless telecommunications device that receives and displays numeric or text messages, or receives and announces voice messages. One–way pagers can only receive messages, while response pagers and two–way pagers can also acknowledge, reply to, and originate messages using an internal transmitter.[1] Pagers operate as part of a paging system which includes one or more fixed transmitters (or in the case of response pagers and two–way pagers, one or more base stations), as well as a number of pagers carried by mobile users. Verizon began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the VZ symbol on Monday, July 3, 2000. While Verizon is truly a 21st century company, the mergers that formed Verizon were many years in the making, involving companies with roots that can be traced to the beginnings of the telephone business in the late 19th century. Government regulation largely shaped the evolution of the industry throughout most of the 20th century. During the season, people of all races, political affiliations, and backgrounds come together to watch football. People have an unbelievable amount of pride in their favorite teams and everyone seems to have an opinion about the latest game or who the best players are. The NFL is for all Americans to enjoy and therefore, I think the best mobile strategy is to form non–exclusive partnerships with multiple wireless carriers. NFL fans don't care what wireless provider the NFL partners with, they just want access to the content. The NFL is also very considered with its revenue streams and I think this strategy could make them more money in the long run. By opening up partnerships to all wireless companies, the partnership fee would obviously be smaller but the sum could potentially be greater than the revenue from just one exclusive partnership. Also, once the wireless providers have signed partnership agreements they will all be competing for advertising opportunities during games, at the games, on the websites and on the mobile applications. Competition drives prices up so there is potential for charging more for advertising opportunities than the current prices. The NFL could also charge for downloading the mobile applications and I think most fans would be willing to pay a few dollars to get access. The target market for mobile apps then would include all fans that have mobile service through one of the partner providers instead of only a small percentage. Bill Gorman, co– founder of TVbytheNumbers.com, referenced a 2011 Adweek/Harris Poll survey finding that almost two thirds of U.S. adults say they currently watch NFL football (64%) which is roughly 238,574,000 people; I'd say that is a large target market ... A decision must be made regarding this investment before the spectrum auction in April. This spectrum auction is crucial to Wind Mobile growing in the wireless industry in Canada. The wireless industry in Canada presents a unique opportunity for investment due to the oligopolistic structure and market breakdown. Currently, there are three major players in the industry and there is extensive room for growth and development as an industry and for Wind Mobile itself to gain significant market share. Some of the factors I will consider over the course of this analysis and recommendation include: the wireless communication industry in Canada, growth and competition in the industry and growth of Wind Mobile, and Canada's current economic state. Within these brackets, assessments of the average revenue per user, the growth in subscribers and other indicators of Wind's performance will be analyzed. They will be compared to industry standards and may demonstrate how Wind compares with the "Big 3" firms, who benefit from aspects such as economies of scale. "Unlike other technologies there is something very specific about smartphones it represents life, entertainment, social Running Head:CELL PHONE DISTRACTION 4 media, and gaming" (12) the reason for this is because of apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and gaming apps. Phones being allowed in the classroom are tempting for students. Students feel a vibration in their pockets and feel the need to check their phones. Apps for example snapchat will flash the camera light when the student receives a snap from someone. A research from Pew Research center asked a teacher what her thoughts were on the issue. "It's just too tempting for a student. Once that phone is brought out, most can't resist texting a friend or begin playing a game." (12) Schools are allowing this epidemic to spread by ... Zapped, By Dr. Ann Louise Gittlem Chapter Summary From cell phones and CrackBerries to iPhones and laptops, technology has become such an integral part of our daily lives, we wouldn't know how to live without it. However, as convenient as these devices are, a new book argues they may take a not–well–known toll on our health. In "Zapped: Why Your Cell Phone Shouldn't Be Your Alarm Clock and 1,268 Ways to Outsmart the Hazards of Electronic Pollution," Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman, author of the New York Times bestseller "Fat Flush Plan," as well as 30 other books on health and nutrition, explores the various ways our bodies are affected by "electronic pollution" –– and how to protect ourselves from these electromagnetic frequencies, or EMFs. We had the chance to talk to Dr. Gittleman and find out how her own health scare inspired the book, and, according to her research, how your laptop may prevent you from having kids, and what's in asparagus that can protect you from evil EMFs. Lemondrop: Where did the idea for this book come from? Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman: It really started when I began to see some common symptoms among many of my clients who were very plugged in. While a cordless phone may capture only what can be transmitted through the mouth piece transmitter, a baby monitor has the capability to capture sounds in larger areas. As phone systems became less reliant on land lines, privacy issues have risen as to the expectations of privacy by law enforcement. Courts struggle with the issue of cell phone conversations and the expectancy of privacy especially with the wireless transmission process. (Sengupta, S. 2013) While much of the public has experienced or is aware of the potential of conversations being heard over cordless phones and baby monitors very few complaints about invasion of privacy were made. This also has not stopped the use of them nor has this awareness guided many in using due diligence in certain illegal or immoral activities. Whether this is a conscious choice or not, it seems this invasion of our privacy has been accepted as a byproduct and benefit of the ability of freedom of movement in our ability to keep in touch. Finland was considered a sleepy country even after their independence from Sweden, depending its economy mainly on the Soviet Union by exporting its natural resources. Finland however slowly but constantly developed its economy up to the OECD average, following the models of its Nordic neighbors to invest highly in social welfare and public infrastructure.
