Performance analysis of Multiband - OFDM systems using LDPC coder in pulsed -...IDES Editor
In this paper, a combined approach where low density
parity check (LDPC) codes are used to reduce the complexity
and power consumption of pulsed orthogonal frequencydivision
multiplexing (pulsed-OFDM) ultra-wideband (UWB)
systems is described. The proposed system uses LDPC codes
to achieve higher code rates without using convolution
encoding and puncturing thereby reducing the complexity and
power consumption of pulsed-OFDM system. The LDPCpulsed-
OFDM system achieves channel capacity with different
code rates and has good performance in different channel
fading scenarios. The pulsed OFDM system is used where
pulsed signals could spread the frequency spectrum of the
OFDM signal. The performance of LDPC-pulsed-OFDM
system for wireless personal area networks (WPAN) is
analyzed for different UWB indoor propagation channels (CM3
and CM4) provided by the IEEE 802.15.3a Standard activity
committee. To establish this, a design of LDPC-pulsed-OFDM
system using the digital video broadcasting-satellite-second
generation (DVB-S2) standard and provide the simulation
results for the different code rates supported by LDPC codes
is presented.

Development And Implementation Of OFDM Transceiver For WLAN ApplicationsIJERA Editor
Multi-Carrier modulation is a technique for data transmission by multiplexing a low bit-rate data streams to modulated carriers into signal Wideband Carrier. Multi-Carrier transmission has a lot of useful properties such as delay-spread tolerance and spectrum efficiency that encourage their use in untethered broadband communication. OFDM is becoming the chosen modulation technique for wireless communications. OFDM is a multi-carrier modulation scheme with densely spaced sub-carriers that has gained a lot of popularity among the broadband community in the last few years. OFDM can provide large data rate with sufficient robustness to radio channel impairments. OFDM works on the principle of Orthogonality. The orthogonality between subcarriers which is at the core of OFDM modulation requires a perfect synchronization. OFDM has properties like high spectral efficiency, Resiliency to RF interference and Lower multi-path distortion. This work is concentrated in implementing both transmitter and receiver using Matlab software and also to verify whether the transmitted data is obtained at the receiver side. As we are using the OFDM technique we will be having bandwidth efficiency when compared to the normal FDM technique.

Synched E Harvesting Wireless Sensors For Sensors Expo 2009 Distswarms_2009
This presentation, "Synchronized Energy Harvesting Sensor Networks", was made at the 2009 Sensors Expo in Rosemount, IL.
MicroStrain has developed the next generation energy harvesting wireless nodes for health monitoring of
structures and condition based monitoring of machinery. These nodes can be integrated into a large scale
network, controlled with a Wireless Sensor Data Aggregator (WSDA) providing node-to-node synchronization up to +/- 4 microseconds.
Link adaptation, or adaptive coding and modulation (ACM), is a term used in wireless communications to denote the matching of the modulation, coding and other signal and protocol parameters to the conditions on the radio link
The following resources come from the 2009/10 BSc in Computer and Network Technologies (course number 2ELE0072) from the University of Hertfordshire. All the mini projects are designed as level two modules of the undergraduate programmes.
The objectives of this module are to Demonstrate within a private network environment:
• The implementation of a wireless local are networks (WLANs) topology with diverse physical parameters
• The real-time performance evaluation of the individual WLAN transmission characteristics in the presence of standard transport protocols.
This mini-project involves the implementation of an “infrastructure” wireless network, the generation and transmission of packets and the measurement of network performance for TCP transport protocols by means of the “Wireshark” benchmarking tool. Parameters most likely to affect network performance such as the transmission medium’s signal-to-noise ratio, the propagating signal’s latency and jitter and the packet loss rate will be determined.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

19. WP 1/T1.2 : Convergecast
Given: sensors with single packet to send at time zero
Find: schedule that delivers all packets to sink (in an optimal fashion)
Key operation WirelessHART’s
sensing-compution-actuation cycle:
Royal Institute of Technology KTH
20. WP 1/T1.2 : Convergecast
Optimal convergecast on trees
Proposition. The minimum evacuation time for a wireless HART
network with tree topology is max(N, 2Nmax-1) timeslots, where
Nmax is the number of nodes in the largest subtree.
Also here, we can characterize the channel-latency tradeoff.
Efficient (O(N2)) time-optimal policies, channel-limited case slightly
harder.
Royal Institute of Technology KTH
21. WP 1/T1.2 : Convergecast
If links are unreliable, then the complete operation might fail.
Observation. If links fail with probability pl, convergecast fails with
probability (1-pl)S where S=# transmissions in the schedule.
For line with N nodes, S=N(N+1)/2Schedule quickly becomes unreliable!
Several simple ways of improving reliability of a given schedule
– duplicating each slot, repeating schedule, …
Need methods for quantifying the resulting latency distributions.
