Microsoft Windwos 8 Developer Preview By Francis Chao APCUG Virtual Conference November 12, 2011 The "Windows 8 Developers Preview", which is also known as "Windows 8 Pre-beta" provides us with a look into the rapidly-approaching future of the "Windows" operating system. "Windows 8" will have both the old, legacy "Desktop" user interface and the new "Metro" "Start" screen. "Metro" is Microsoft's unified user interface that will be inside Microsoft's future operating systems for computers, tablets, cell phones, and PDAs.

We'll look at how to notify users when changing the DOM after page load. We will also look in-depth at accessible form validation, modal windows, drop-down menus, in-page tabs and other commonly used we components. Exploiting Maemo
