Wind energy
By vijay.
The motion of large mass of air causes wind.
Wind is a renewable source of energy (no end).
What is Wind ?
 Based on their speed wind can be classified into:-
Breeze(low speed wind of nearly 5kmph)
Strom (high speed wind of nearly >10kmph)
We know that air is always flows from one place to another place continusly .
In order it flows from higher pressure to lower pressure produces winds.
During day time Air flows from sea to land
During night time Air flows from land to sea

energy
(The energy possessed by wind is called wind energy.)
Different types of mechanisms based on wind energy:-
Sailors are used sail boats for transport.
Farmers are used wind mills for water pumping.
Peoples are used for drying clothes.
Wind turbines are used for power supply.
Wind turbines-
Wind turbine device is used for converting energy from wind to mechanical
rotating work.
The blades of wind turbines are designed to create a pressure difference when
wind is strikes them . These pressure difference makes the blades to rotate.
The rotation of blades causes conversion of wind energy into electricity.
Advantages:-
It causes no pollution.
It doesn’t consume water.
It is free of cost.
Also it doesn’t use coal ,gas or any other to generate power.
A turbine displaces 2,365 tonnes of co₂ every year.
Each turbine saves 1,74,000 bath tubs of water every year.
Limitations:-
Turbine produce more sound pollution.
It is not available at all times and at all places . It is available in specific places.
Turbine setup is very expensive.
The blades are exposed to environmental factors like sun , storm , rain, etc ,.it
need higher maintenance ,hence increasing the further cost.
