This document discusses how technology and social media use impacts relationships. It finds that 90% of young adults use their cellphones and social media daily, and 80% of students admit to using their phone while driving. High levels of social media use are associated with increased feelings of jealousy, loneliness, and relationship dissatisfaction. However, social media also allows people to feel more connected to partners long distance and helps some feel emotionally closer. The overuse of technology may make relationships less intimate and unrealistic in today's society.
