The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) presents its new-look Annual Report for the year 2019. The original idea of ISCA's founders was to unite the voices and organisations who believe in the power of recreational sport and physical activity. We still believe in this ‘power of the people’, and enabling the human right to access sport and physical activity is still our mission. For 25 years we have delivered solutions to our members and the sport sector. These solutions help civil society organisations to develop as organisations and continue to be able to deliver attractive and motivating programmes to individuals and communities. This implementation guide is designed to introduce you to the topic of Integrating Refugees Through Sport by looking at the relevant theory that is the foundation for the area, the present situation – specifically in Europe, as well as the challenges and barriers that NGOs, sports clubs and other organisations or individuals often face when implementing or running an IRTS programme. This guide looks at the issue from the perspective of those involved: the refugees. Therefore, it also includes an overview of the barriers and challenges through the eyes of those displaced, and trying to build a new life in a new land. Potential solutions to these issues are also examined. So get inspired, get active, and help make a positive difference to both your community and people’s lives! #PlayTogether http://irts.isca.org/

CDSCO and Phamacovigilance {Regulatory body in India}NEHA GUPTA
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is India's national regulatory body for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Operating under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the CDSCO is responsible for approving new drugs, conducting clinical trials, setting standards for drugs, controlling the quality of imported drugs, and coordinating the activities of State Drug Control Organizations by providing expert advice.
Pharmacovigilance, on the other hand, is the science and activities related to the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problems. The primary aim of pharmacovigilance is to ensure the safety and efficacy of medicines, thereby protecting public health.
In India, pharmacovigilance activities are monitored by the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), which works closely with CDSCO to collect, analyze, and act upon data regarding adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Together, they play a critical role in ensuring that the benefits of drugs outweigh their risks, maintaining high standards of patient safety, and promoting the rational use of medicines.

1. ProHEALTH Foundation
Promoting health through sports…!
We generally think that, most of the urban
population is living in major metros of India
But…the truth is that….
About 60% of the urban population lives in
Tier III and Tier IV cities of India…!
More that 50% of this population consists of
children and youths.
Most of these Tier III and IV cities have no
organized sporting or running events were
everyone can get involved

Inclusive Cities and Sustaining Economic Growth, April, 2010
2. ProHEALTH Foundation
Promoting health through sports…!
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading
cause of death and disability in India.
Nearly half of these deaths are likely to occur in
young and middle aged individuals (30-69 years)
Increasing levels of cardiovascular risk factors especially
hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, overweight or
obesity, physical inactivity and tobacco use.
Chronic Diseases are going up
Physical activity is coming down

masses..!
Running as a sport has least overheads and is a life-long sport
Children get excited by distances like 5 kms and 10 kms
Running is the basis of all other sports
Getting a medal at finish line is a real encouragement for children and youth for future
participation
Why promote
running?
6. ProHEALTH Foundation
Promoting health through sports…!
Why Tier III and
Tier IV cities?
Presence of large population especially of Children and Youth

Ample training spaces and clean air
Breeding places of Talent and opportunity to connect with rural
