ascending pain pathways (i.e. pain pressure threshold or PPT) and/or descending pain pathways

ascending and descending pain pathways]. Spinal mobilization (SM), a form of MT, is a common
treatment that has been effective in relieving neck pain according to Cochrane Review (Gross et al
2015). A recent systematic review (Coronado et al 2015) concluded that although the pain relief
from MT seems to improve PPT; the pain relief, however, is not associated with PPT, a measure of
the ascending pain pathways. Whether the pain relief from SM is due to its effects on the
descending pain pathways (e.g. CPM) is not known at this time.
CPM is a method to test one s endogenous descending pain inhibition status. It is a simple test
that uses a second painful stimulus to identify if a person has a normal functioning CPM or not.

lives. I pity these people that have to live in a position that is seen as inferior to the majority of
men. While I pity them, I also see how strong they are, and what they have endured in their lifespan.
A character that is deserving of pity is Cunegonde. Cunegonde came from a line of high ranking
people who are killed later in the novel. She was also kidnapped and raped by Bulgarians. She had
to have sex with two men that were sharing her. When Candide finds her for the first time, the only
thing that he cares about is how beautiful she is. He sees her and immediately believes that he is
in love with her. Later on, in the novel, Candide finds her once again. This time though, she is
old and hasn t aged well. Candide marries her and makes it known to the reader that it wasn t out
of love, it was out of pity. I believe that this character is deserving of more pity, because no one
deserves to go through the things that she has. No one took the time to get to know her. Candide
didn t really care that much about her when he saw that she wasn t beautiful anymore. Pacquette
is a character that deserves pity because her life was great until she started having sex with
Pangloss and gave him syphilis. As a result, she ran out of money and became broke and she had

In recent discussions of serial killers, a controversial issue has been whether they were born
being the killer that they are or if it is impacted by the way that they grew up. On the one hand,
some argue that serial killers are influenced by things in their lives that cause them to become
these guiltless killers. From this perspective, porn and violence in the home are big factors in
what people believe to be influencing these people. On the other hand, however, others argue
that these people are born this way and the way they grow up has no influence. In the words of

According to this view, despite if they are born this way or grew up being influenced by things,
