On October 20, my Visionary Volunteers group performed our 10 hours of
community service for this project with the CommUniverCity organization. This
organization focuses on bringing people from the city of San Jose and SJSU
students together to help the community surrounding Downtown San Jose to
become more sustainable and use more renewable resources. We volunteered and
helped out at the Safe and Green Halloween Party which took place at McKinley
Elementary School which is very close to our university. This Halloween party was
based on the theme of safety on Halloween and being environmentally friendly. I was
there for the entire duration of the event from setting up to cleaning up. For setting
up, I helped by cleaning trash off the school playground, arranging tables and chairs
for the various activitybooths, and decorating the playground for the event. One
important thing which I learned here was that teamwork helps us to accomplish
large tasks faster. I found out that teamwork helps me to become more social and
meet new people. This makes the job more fun as I interact with others while
performing my tasks. If I was working alone, I would not have enjoyed it as much

Oh, have I caught your attention? Obviously, I did, with such an eye catching blog
post title like that. Apparently Marc Gamayo beat me to a blog post of National
History Day District competition (I should have done it early, aaaaa) that took
place at Ewa Makai Middle School where participants would be interviewed for
their projects and to know who are going to state competition. Warning! Super long
schedule of what I did on Saturday for NHD district competition. Skip to end for a

In the trilogy of Oedipus, Sophocles constructed an enthralling family dynamic that
induces central themes throughout the play. In numerous works of literature, family
relationships engage in the central message of a piece of work. In Sophocles three
plays, specifically interconnection between siblings and parent relationships create,
refines, and complicates themes of power, love family, pride, and extreme fate.
Starting with Sophoclesprimary play, OedipusRex, the relationship between Oedipus
and his parents support the works theme of fate and pride. Through antecedent
action told throughout Oedipus Rex, Oedipus received a prophecy that he would

shows me that they have knowledge of what they are doing and it is not based on
cultural standards. I am certain that to torture babies for fun is unethical and it s an
action of pure evil and wrong. Perhaps if they didn t know why they were torturing
babies then my answer may have been relativist but to do such an action with a
justification for fun then it s absolutely and entirely
