The annual report summarizes library usage statistics showing increases in students, classes, circulation, and collaboration over 2011-2014; it describes tools and levels of collaboration used by the librarian and teachers; and outlines goals such as continuing the learning commons model, guided inquiry instruction, and assessment development through the next year.

Northern Collaboration Conference 2014: Team based learning and libraries: opportunities and challenges by Anne Costigan. Presented at the Northern Collaboration Conference, 5th September 2014.
The purpose of this study is to understand the present status of the secondary school librarians in Bangladesh. In general, it is found that although librarianship is not a new concept in Bangladesh, the development of school libraries and to create qualified school library professionals has been slow due to lack of government initiative. Many schools, where there are libraries and librarians, resources and services are minimal and school librarians are not considered teaching staff.

Tertiary Transition - Bridging the Information Literacy GapSenga White
Presentation to FYSEC2017 (First Year Science Educators) on The Tertiary Prep Programme and the need for robust information literacy skills in the transition to academic learning
The primary purpose of this survey was to explore the Swiss Group of International Schools' (SGIS) academic integrity policy and to what extent participant schools have implemented IA policy in their context. The subsequent objectives were to know:
Librarians involvement with AI
Librarians AI teaching/coaching opportunity
Teachers and students awareness of school AI policy
Librarians preferred tools for teaching AI and related issues
AI implementation challenges faced by librarians
This presentation shares planning grant results intended to support exploratory research that will led to a successful external funding for enhancing 21st Century Skill development and fostering collaboration in teacher and librarian education. The presentation seeks to create a synergy between educational and library initiatives by bringing teachers and librarians together in order to orient them to how they can work together toward the goal of ensuring that students are able to achieve the skills outlined in the 21st Century Skills framework. Such training would focus on understanding the role of each profession in the attainment of these skills, offer models of teacher/librarian partnerships, and give students hands on experience that demonstrates the power of the synergy produced by teacher/librarian teamwork. Curriculum developed to meet these goals would be provided as part of teacher and librarian preparatory education and also offered as professional or continuing education for interested professionals who have already completed their degree programs

Preparing English-Language Learners for the American Academy: New and Evolvin...Elizabeth Johns
The VCU Libraries has created a partnership with the university’s English Language Program to provide strategically outreach and support to international English language learners for the rigors of an American university. Over the past year, the Libraries has been learning more about the ELP curriculum, and is working to integrate appropriate information literacy skills into these classes. June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

students through ethical research with reliable and valid print and digital resources.
Moodle: Course: Research (student orientation/instructional module for
inquiry based research)
Turnitin: Originality check, online grading and peer review
Edmodo - learning management tool, online classroom and collaborative
environment
NoodleTools: Integrated tools for note-taking, outlining, citation,
document/archiving/annotations, and collaborative research and writing
5. Collaboration Notes
The goal of content teacher and librarian teacher collaboration for curriculum is for the
librarian to provide instruction in an information literacy skill or concept as a result of
planning with teachers as well as providing resources for the unit. A level 5 will also contain
collaborative assessment, creation and reflection. This type of collaboration is considered a
level 5.
Levels:
1. No collaboration beyond scheduling the library
2. Schedule, pull resources
3. Introduction to resources, provide resources, schedule
4. Plan with teachers, offer suggestions as well as provide resources.
5. Provide instruction as result of planning as well as provide resources and
assessment
At this level, instruction takes on a different look as students become more adept at
navigating through a global information environment. Instruction of information literacy will
be a more "just in time" individual approach combined with instruction through virtual
modules and platforms.
6. A snapshot of the LibGuide Log which shows a sample of
collaborations within 65 active Research Projects:
7. Assessment and Testimonial:
