Elizabeth II has been Queen of the United Kingdom since 1952, holding titles in seven countries. As Queen, she serves as Head of the Commonwealth, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, and holds other hereditary titles. Prince Philip, born in Greece in 1921, is Elizabeth's husband and serves as her consort. They have four children - Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward - as well as grandchildren including William. The UK parliament is made up of the House of Commons and House of Lords. The current Prime Minister is Gordon Brown of the Labour Party.
