This document provides tips on how to use Twitter for job searching. It discusses that Twitter allows users to connect with others based on common interests and is a valuable networking tool. Some key points include following companies and people in your industry, posting regular updates about your job search to stay top of mind, and directly reaching out to contacts for referrals or information on potential job openings. Employers also use Twitter to post available jobs.
The document discusses 11 future trends for Twitter: 1) A shift from tweeting to searching as the primary way to find useful information. 2) Twitter threatening Google's dominance in search. 3) Three types of Twitter users will emerge - blabbers, sifters, and broadcasters. 4) Increased use of automated tools could reduce genuine user interactions. 5) Twitter becoming a major source of news and citizen journalism. 6) Twitter developing "gated communities" or secured groups. 7) Twitter potentially fracturing into separate services. 8) More third-party apps and services being built on the Twitter platform. 9) A potential "Twitter Pro" paid subscription. 10) Twitter possibly expanding beyond the 140 character limit.

Twitter has grown rapidly since its inception, with over 460,000 new accounts per day. While personal accounts share aspects of individuals' lives, business accounts on Twitter should strategically share some personal details to build connections. The document outlines best practices for businesses to make the most of Twitter, including using hashtags to join relevant conversations, monitoring competitors and discussions, and creating a tweet schedule to regularly share curated content.
To get the most out of LinkedIn, users should decide how they want to use the platform, such as networking, raising their profile, or finding new jobs. They should then fill out their profile completely and keep it updated tailored to their target audience. Users should also adjust their privacy settings, upload a professional photo, regularly post status updates and comments to increase their visibility, join and participate in relevant groups, and expand their network by connecting with colleagues and clients and following companies.

This document discusses how solo librarians can use Web 2.0 tools to stay up to date without working overtime. It outlines the key advantages and challenges of being a solo librarian with limited resources. Web 2.0 allows information to come to you through tools like RSS feeds and Twitter, which help solo librarians learn, network, and monitor topics efficiently. Some recommended Web 2.0 tools for solo librarians are blogs, RSS readers, Twitter, and social bookmarking sites. While IT policies and information overload are obstacles, Web 2.0 cannot be ignored as it facilitates sharing, collaboration and access to timely updates that help solo librarians expand their knowledge and reduce isolation.
Lisa Kacerosky is the social media marketer for Cheezburger Network, which operates over 50 humor websites and has over 150 social media accounts. She uses HootSuite to manage all of these accounts, taking advantage of its features like monitoring, scheduling posts and interactions, and analytics. Without HootSuite, her job of managing such a large social media presence for Cheezburger Network would be nearly impossible.
The document discusses opportunities and challenges for search engines in including real-time and social media content. It notes that search engines are including more real-time content like tweets to meet users' expectations of knowing information immediately. This allows non-social media users to see real-time discussions but also spreads "gossip" faster. It argues that relevance still matters and search engines are working to rank and filter this real-time content. For brands, rising above noise in real-time search requires focusing on quality, trustworthy links and being prepared to respond quickly to discussions.

In reality, it was established in 1955 as a site for testing secret military aircraft like the U-2 spy plane. While its secret activities have fueled speculation, the base is simply used for classified defense research and development projects, not studying aliens, though the government keeps most of its activities hidden from the public.

This story follows a Union soldier during the Siege of Vicksburg in 1863. It describes the battle from the soldier's perspective, including the long march to Vicksburg, setting up camp outside the city, and finally breaching the Confederate defenses after a month of waiting for more troops to arrive. The Union was victorious, capturing over 29,000 Confederate soldiers with only 4,835 casualties themselves. Though bloody, the battle was an important strategic victory for the Union as it gave them control of the Mississippi River. After Vicksburg, the soldier marched on with renewed confidence, and eventually made his way back home to his family after the war's conclusion and Lincoln's reelection.

Taking AI to the Next Level in Manufacturing.pdfssuserfac0301
Read Taking AI to the Next Level in Manufacturing to gain insights on AI adoption in the manufacturing industry, such as:
1. How quickly AI is being implemented in manufacturing.
2. Which barriers stand in the way of AI adoption.
3. How data quality and governance form the backbone of AI.
4. Organizational processes and structures that may inhibit effective AI adoption.
6. Ideas and approaches to help build your organization's AI strategy.
3. We never seem to have enough time
• To do all our work
• To keep up to date with all the
news in our industry
• To listen to what consumers are
telling us
• To stay updated on new trends
so we can leverage them before
competitors do
4. And who has time at work to surf the
Internet for business intelligence?
With downsizing many
employees are doing the work
of 2 or more people.
There is a lot of great
information out there but it
can be hard to find even with
search engines.
Bookmarked sites are fine but
what about all the other
information we’re missing?
7. So how can we stay up to date on
relevant information we need
8. Well there are RSS feeds
Problem:
Still requires a click
through to get needed
information.
Can quickly overwhelm
you if you subscribe to a
lot of RSS feeds.
Not all sites allow RSS
subscriptions today.
9. Then of course there is
Problem:
Who do you follow ?
How do you find people who
provide good business
intelligence without getting
overwhelmed with Tweets?
How do you convince your CIO
that Twitter is a good tool for
business intelligence.
10. What we need is a new tool
To get information to us
as quickly as possible.
To summarize key points
of articles in the trade
and public press.
That brings ME the
information I want
WHEN I WANT it.
11. A tool like Twitter Summary
summary
Summary of article key points and
data via a Twitter feed so that
executives can get the information
without having to read whole
article.
12. Media would have an option to
read the Twitter summary
By offering a Twitter summary
we could read a lot more
articles in a lot less time and
be given the option to
subscribe to similar articles via
Twitter summary
Twitter summary
13. Imagine
Being able to read a lot of
articles in a matter of minutes
instead of hours.
Subscribing to Twitter summary
articles that are of interest to
YOU from your favorite
information sources.
Being able to archive the
information and tag it so that
you can access it later.
15. Web 3.0
Is all about getting relevant information to people
as they need it so that it does not require a lot of
time to sort through lots of Websites.
18. And we can make or break you
Consumers have the power to make your site relevant or to let it
pass to obscurity
19. Who are you
