Doug Lieux imagines what his classroom will look like in 25 years. He predicts that by 2041, all students will have laptops and iPads and technology companies like Apple and Microsoft will dominate the educational marketplace. Literature classes will move away from British and American classics and focus more on authors from other cultures like Edwidge Danticat and Khaled Housseini. History classes will adjust their timelines and focus more on revisionist history from different perspectives. He hopes society will have moved away from fossil fuels by then and developed a better ability to understand other countries. By 2041, Lieux will be retired at 71 years old and no longer teaching in the classroom.
