1. Have a good headline 
2. Easy to digest 
3. Solve a problem 
4. Actionable 
5. Relevant 
6. Timeless 
7. Interesting 
8. Worth sharing
1. Have a good headline 
People have choice of 100s of articles 
•In google search 
•In twitter feed 
•Blog reading software 
•Email inbox
Make sure your headline is.. 
•Compelling (Tells exactly what it’s about) 
•Actionable (Should make people want to click on it) 
•Not misleading (Should be exactly about the content) 
•Has keywords (For search engines)
Examples 
•10 ways to do get rid of smoking 
•How to save more money shopping 
online 
•My website got hacked, here’s what I 
did to get it back!

•Separate your text into smaller chunk 
of paragraphs 
•Use relevant images and video 
•Use sub-headlines 
•Use bold/italic tags emphasize 
something
3. Solve a problem 
People have problems, your blog post 
should solve it 
•When people needs a solution, they 
search on google 
•If your blog post does a good job solving 
the problem, it will come up on search
You can find these ideas by 
•Listening to your audience what they 
want to learn, what are their pain 
points 
•Reading forums and see what people 
talk about often
Then make a solution 
•Write a blog post/make a video 
exploring that problem 
•Give ways to solve that problem, 
share tips 
•Share a real life example
If your blog post does that 
•Then it will come up on google, bing, 
and yahoo search 
•It will be shared on facebook & twitter 
•It will be recommended on forums, 
chat communities, blogs, and via word 
of mouth
If you sell Air Conditioning 
•You can write a post on how to self 
install the AC 
•How to take good care of the AC 
•How to cut down electricity bills when 
using an AC

Your blog post should let people 
perform an action straight away 
•A recipe or a tutorial is a perfect 
example f such posts 
•You want people to do something after 
they read your blog post

•This post will give them the exact 
steps they need to perform something 
•How to/Tutorial posts get read and 
shared the most
5. Relevant 
If you sell AC’s for a living, make sure 
your blog posts are related to that 
topic as well 
When a reader comes to your blog 
and read a post on the AC, he/she 
wants to read more about it
DO’s & DONT’s 
•Cover the same topic 
•Stay relevant to your original topic 
•Should not write off topic such as if 
you are covering Golf on your blog, do 
not write about Football
6. Timeless 
Creating awesome blog post is a lot of 
HARD WORK. 
•So always try to stay timeless 
•If you write a post in 2015, make sure it
