Types of Contemporary Art

1. What is Contemporary Art?
"Contemporary art is art made today by living artists. As such, it reflects the
complex issues that shape our diverse, global, and rapidly changing world."
Through their work, many contemporary artists explore personal or cultural
identity, offer critiques of social and institutional structures, or even attempt to redefine art
itself. In the process, they often raise difficult or thought-provoking questions without
providing easy answers. Curiosity, an open mind, and a commitment to dialogue and
debate are the best tools with which to approach a work of contemporary art.
Since its founding in 1940, the Walker has been presenting today’s art in all its
forms, including visual art, dance, music, theater, moving image, design, architecture, new
media, and many hybrid forms. These works often challenge our ideas about what art
should look like or how it should behave. During your visit, you might encounter a dance in
which the movement is barely perceptible, a sculpture in the form of a living tree, or a
painting made from nothing more than fabric and light.

PAINTINGS:

representational, photographic, abstract,
narrative. Contmporary paintings are the art of
today, produced in the second half of the 20th

artists work in a globally influenced.

2. 2D MOVIES:
A 2D movie is basically moving pictures
or frames those who shifting in every moment
after passing the last frame. The Movies is a

subsequently ported to Mac OS X by Feral
Interactive.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
Photography is the art, application and
practice of creating durable images by
recording light or other electromagnetic
radiation, either electronically.
Principal photography is one of the
stages of film production in which the movie
is filmed, with actors on set and cameras
rolling, as distinct from pre-production.
❖ 3D CONTEMPORARY ART:

3. MUSIC:
Music is an art form and cultural activity

3D MOVIES:
Three-dimensional stereoscopic film
also known as three-dimensional film, 3D film
is a motion picture that enhances the illusion
of depth perception.

products, and the creation of AVI or MPEG
files from the 3D Movie file requires third-
party.
SCULPTURES:
Sculpture is the branch of the visual
arts that operates in three dimensions. It is
one of the plastic arts. Durable sculptural

architectural sculpture. It has also been

sculpture created especially to decorate.
