6. Amalaki:
• Charaka Samhita explained Amalaki
have same attributes as Haritaki has,
same in taste as Haritaki.
• Amalaki is being cold while Haritaki
is hot, it reduces Pitta & Vata but
excessive intake will increase
Kapha.
• It works on all tissues & also helpful
for Circulatory, excretory & digestive
Systems.
• A good blood regulator and heart
tonic also treats the urinary problems
such as painful urination.
• It purifies the blood & rebuilt fresh
red blood cells.

7. Bibhitaki:
• It is another ingredient in Triphala which is a
rejuvenated herb used for Kapha as a tonic.
• It is a strong laxative herb that will cleanse
the bowels.
• Though its nature is heating but couldn’t
vitiate Pitta, it works wells for the stones and
kapha accumulations.
• Excessive intake will exhibits Vata, so avoid
it

• Haritaki have all the tastes in it except
saline nature.
• It will be a good ingredient for eliminating
the doshas.
• Normally, the actions of Haritaki includes
rejuvenated, astringent, laxative”
• There must be some precautions, when it
is taken in by pregnant ladies as it exhibits
high pitta.
• It is also good for all the tissues, works on
Diarrhoea & constipation based on the
dosage.
