What if I were to say to you that applications do not exist? That what you are seeing today are merely the remnants of a concept created by an ancient IT civilization. An era ruled by large mainframes and antiquated software. It is now 2015 and advances in social software, cognitive computing, and graph databases have the potential to deliver new ways in which computer devices can be used to integrate their users with important business processes. We now live in an era in which we expect to quickly find relevant information regardless of the data silo in which it is stored. An era in which we demand to be connected to all the relevant information capable of empowering us to do our job. In this session we will explore a world in which Domino acts as a data server instead of an application server. A world in which NSF data silos form part of a business graph that is then augmented with social data. A world without applications.

IRJET- Amalgamation of Health and Nutrition with Technology to Innovate Salu...IRJET Journal
This document discusses the proposal of a "Salubrious Technology", which is a one-stop solution mobile application that aims to provide comprehensive health and nutrition guidance to users. It analyzes existing health technologies and identifies shortcomings. The proposed application would incorporate features like health profiling, BMI calculation, symptom checking, personalized nutrition and fitness plans, medication reminders, and access to healthcare professionals via artificial intelligence. It is envisioned that such an application could help users better monitor and improve their health. Future enhancements could include integration with wearable devices to collect more health data for more customized guidance and alerts.
ZYTO Technology created the Compass Scan software which uses Galvanic Skin Response to determine a person's biological preferences for nutritional supplements. It measures subtle responses across 76 biomarkers as the body is exposed to digital signals of different supplements. The results are meant to help practitioners select supplements that will bring biomarkers back into balance. While some find it provides accurate recommendations, there is no specific research validating its efficacy.
Lifelogging is the practice of tracking personal data generated by our own behavioral activities in continuous digital streams. As it is slowly becoming mainstream, it raises a lot of intriguing questions and thoughts.
Lifelogging and self-tracking are altering the Futures of:
Memory,
Remembering,
Forgetting,
Storytelling,
Privacy,
Law enforcement,
Governance,
Bodies,
and our very Humanness.
This report explores these questions, thoughts and futures.
The document discusses 5 apps that can help users stay healthy:
1. Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker tracks calories consumed and exercises to help with weight loss.
2. Eye Trainer provides 12 eye exercises with voice guidance to maintain eyesight.
3. Mindfulness App offers guided meditations from top teachers to help reduce stress.
4. Cardiograph uses a phone's camera to measure heart rate and track results over time.

Behind the scenes of Reward Gateway's new Sydney officeReward Gateway
In March 2018, Reward Gateway, the leading employee engagement platform that delivers employee benefits, recognition, and communications solutions to over 1,700 clients across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, today announced it has opened its new Sydney hub at Australia Square Plaza, 95 Pitt Street.

Real, Raw & Human : Using video to build cultural, competitive advantageReward Gateway
In this keynote from Wistia's Wistiafest 2017 conference in Boston, MA, Reward Gateway Founder, Glenn Elliott shares his learnings from the last ten years. He busts 5 business myths and shares how video professionals can help make the world a better place to work by helping honest, authentic leaders reach more of their people.
Our 10th anniversary provides a moment to reflect on the company that we’ve built together.
What I see is a company that is successful to a great extent because it is diverse, fair and just. A company that strives to behave honestly, ethically and with great integrity.
I hear different voices, listen to different perspectives and hear discussion and debate. I see people of very different backgrounds and upbringings treated fairly and given equal opportunity to thrive.
Reward Gateway is becoming a great company because we employ as many women as we do men, because we pay and reward fairly and because we are open to everyone regardless of the gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, age or educational background.
It is this diversity that makes us strong and resilient.
But still, our ambition exceeds our ability. We want to do more. We need better ethnic diversity, we need better age diversity. We need to find and eliminate unfairness and bias wherever we find it. We need to drive out anything that stands between us and the best talent.
This report is another good step on that journey.

Project Meadow was the 18 month project to build Reward Gateway's new London hub. Designed as an agile workspace we replaced permanent desks with varied spaces for different types of work. The project's goal was to improve communication between teams, build social capital and create a welcoming place for clients, our HR Heroes, to come and collaborate.
The new site opened on 4th July 2016 and this slide deck shares some of the pictures of the new workspace.
In response to a question from a colleague on RG's Glassdoor profile, we needed to check in on what our people stats - joiners and leavers look like. This deck tells the story
The art of selling with video : For WistiaFestReward Gateway

- Reward Gateway started in 2006 and now has 330 employees and 50 sales reps.
- Elliott believes all sales are "human to human" and video is effective for showing humanity, personality and authenticity in sales conversations.
- Video can help sales reps at three key stages: connecting, convincing, and closing deals.
- The basics of video for sales include looking at the camera, keeping it casual in location and lighting, and being authentic and personal in a one
CEO Glenn Elliott's User Manual : A solution for poor employee trust?Reward Gateway
Inspired by a talk by Adam Bryant at the NY Times New Work Summit in 2016, our CEO, Glenn, produced his own "user manual" explaining what he values and believes in. He's exploring whether openness and communications between leadership and a company an help to bridge the employee trust gap. According to the 2016 Edelman Trust Barometer, half of employees think it is important that their CEO exhibits highly ethical behavior but only 25% believe that they see it.
It's another experiment in Glenn's ongoing project of being an accountable, honest, transparent and open leader. He'd love your thoughts and feedback and there are links in the slides.
There's a lot of nonsense talked about employee engagement and a lot of people think you can get it be throwing a few incentives around. They're wrong.
Ultimately employee engagement is simply a choice. It's a choice between how you want your organisation to thrive.
So ask yourself - do you want to engage your people or eliminate your people? It's up to you.
Reward Gateway is a company based on strong principles of employee-ownership. Reward Gateway PTY Limited is the local operating company for Reward Gateway Australia. Its ultimate parent company is International Benefits Holdings Ltd.
International Benefits Holdings itself is 38% owned by Reward Gateway employees and management. The balance of shares are owned by our financial sponsor, Inflexion Private Equity who have backed us since 2010 to ensure we had the strength to deliver on growth worldwide.
With an organisational capacity of 237 people, we are the largest company of our type in the world.
The security of employee data is our single highest priority. Reward Gateway’s data security provisions are second to none and have been through some of the toughest tests and certifications by government and corporate clients, including McDonalds, Vodafone, American Express and IBM.

From our CEO Glenn Elliott : On business, On communications, On employee enga...Reward Gateway
The document contains advice and insights from the CEO of an employee benefits company. It discusses the importance of honesty, keeping customers happy over investors, surrounding oneself with simplifiers rather than complicators, learning from mistakes, and finding driven people who will learn quickly. The overall message is that business success comes from hard work, honesty, putting customers first, and having the right people on your team.

2. Wellbeing 2015 is an event revolving around the
future of employee wellbeing and health.
It took place on 25th July in London, where we
presented our bold new vision for corporate
wellbeing.
3. A Technology Review
After the event, Robert Smith, our technology
researcher reviewed a few health and wellbeing
gadgets, and gave his thoughts on their
implications for the workforce.
Let us see a few notes about each tested
gadget.
4. Jawbone UP™
The Jawbone UP™ gadget tracks physical
activity, quality of sleep and helps you
manage your fitness goals.
The gadget connects with a variety of iOS,
so you can track your weight, map your bike
rides, access extensive food libraries and
more.
1
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
The Jawbone could be easily integrated into workforce culture as it’s
something everyone can wear. It could be a great first step for a
wellness program.
5. Philips Wake-Up Light
Philips Wake-Up Light simulates a sunrise with
nature sound, where the sunrise simulation
starts 30 minutes before the alarm.
The light slowly begins to brighten, simulating
sunrise. It uses a choice of two sounds; bird
calls, ocean noise or the radio.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
The Wake-Up Light could help create a better rested workforce, but it
would be difficult to fully implement seeing as it would be used at
home.
2
6. Breezing
Breezing is a portable metabolism tracker
that syncs with your smartphone. It analyzes
user's metabolism, then advises them on
exercise and diet requirements needed to
meet their fitness goals.
Breezing combines innovative design with
proven science.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
The tracker could be used in a work program to promote healthy
eating, but fully integrating it might be difficult. It needs to be used
when first waking up and offers more details than the average person
needs.
3
7. QardioArm
QardioArm is a blood pressure monitor
with a revolutionary design and effortless
user experience that conveniently fits
your modern lifestyle. The idea behind
the product was to create a medical
device that looks like a daily object and
is simple and convenient to have around
at all times for daily measurements.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
On the same note as the Breezing Tracker, the QardioArm could be
used in a program, but offers information that might not be relevant to
an entire workforce.
4
8. Vessyl
The Vessyl digital cup lets you know what
you’re drinking and how many calories it
contains, while acting as a normal cup.
Liquid calories are a source of a lot of sugar
and fat, so the Vessyl could be useful in
illuminating that.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
The Vessyl could be a great tool for an individual, but I don’t see it
being critical or easily used in a wellness initiative. It’s received some
great early publicity, although not the best overall review.
5
9. Scio Molecular Sensor
A group of scientist, biologists and technologists
developed a device that shines a light on a
substance and sends information on the nutrient
values, ripeness, spoilage analyses and more to an
app. It’s the Scio Molecular Sensor
It’s main purpose is to analyze food, but it could
have uses for medication, plants, jewelry, clothing
etc.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
Although not a necessity, having a Scio in an office could be a great
way to help employees get access to accurate nutritional information.
6
10. Dharma Cushion
The Dharma measures heart rate, respiration,
stress levels and posture.
It connects to an app available on iOS operating
systems that can remind you to calm down,
stretch or correct your posture.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
The Dharma Cushion has the most potential to be a cornerstone of a
wellness initiative, especially in environment where employees are at
their desks for most of the day.
7
11. Lumo Lift
The Lumo Lift is a wearable device that
tracks physical activity and helps improve
posture. It calculates how much time users
spend in a ‘strong confident posture.’
The Lumo Lift comes with a free iPhone app
that tracks both activity and posture over
time.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
In the same vein as the Dharma Cushion the Lumo Lift could be a
powerful tool for a sedentary workforce, but you would have to rely on
individuals to make sure they are wearing it (unlike the cushion.)
8
12. Cuff
Cuff went a step further when it presented
its wearable jewelry that lets users call
loved ones for help when in danger. It is a
small wireless token that slots into any of
the Cuff range of accessories.
It links via Bluetooth with an accompanying
app on the user's smartphone.
How useful it could be for workplace wellness?
You could argue that the Cuff provides peace of mind, improving the
mental wellbeing of employees. However, it is not really a workplace
wellness initiative.
