- 3. Classroom Goals To give you the academic and social skills you need to progress to first grade. To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment. To help you make new friends and discover new interests.
- 4. Classroom Community Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other. Our class rules will be established together.

Daily Schedule 7:30 – 8:00 Welcome and Morning Work 8:00 – 8:10 Morning Announcements 8:10 – 8:30 Calendar / Circle Time 8:30 – 9:20 CK Reading Skills 9:20 – 10:00 Specials (refer to calendar in binder: music, technology, media, PE, art) 10:00 – 10:20 Drinks, Restroom, Hand washing, Snack 10:20 –11:00 Math 11:00 – 12:00 Centers(reading, writing, art, math, science, computers, enrichment) 12:00 – 12:25 Lunch 12:30 – 1:00 Recess 1:05 – 1:15 Drinks, Restroom, Hand washing 1:15 – 1:50 CK Listen & Learn – Science & Social Studies 1:50 – 2:00 Ready for dismissal 2:00 – 2:10 Dismissal
- 6. Kindergarten Curriculum The subjects we cover during class are: Core Knowledge Skills (Reading) Core Knowledge Listening and Learning Math: enVision Writing: Writer’s In Control Science: Natural Geographic
- 7. Beginning the School Day School begins at 8:00 Tardy policy Can arrive at 7:30 Drop off your child Breakfast procedures Escorted to classroom 10
- 8. Lunch 12:00 – 12:25 Menu available on TOE website Full, Free, Reduced or bring own lunch Eating with your child policies
- 9. Dismissal 2:15 (2:05) All children will be escorted to their destination Emergency Card (in handbook) Parent Pick Up car tag displayed Phone call to office by 12:00 or written note if there are changes in dismissal
- 10. Homework and Binders Homework is Mon - Thurs. for Math & T/TH we will have reading as well. Bring binder to school every day
