Home Learning
• Reading – Your child will read with an adult in class
once a week. They will be given a new reading book if
they have been read with at home and have a clear
understanding of the book and its contents. If your
child brings the same book home it is because we feel
they need more time to explore the text.
• Library – Every Thursday afternoon the children will
be visiting the library in the Secondary building.
• Please make sure you look at the website, there will
be a weekly blog post which may contain tasks for
the children to do based on their learning.
Bring and Explore
• If the children have something to bring in to
show, we would only like them to bring things that
they can talk about and will encourage the class to
explore and learn from.
• E.g. a nest that has fallen from a tree. An
artefact from another country. Something
historical like a fossil.
