Improving transport is a priority for Turkey’s economic
and social development. As part of a consortium, we
were tasked with preparation of a National Transport
Master Plan to support competitive logistics and
increase the welfare of the Turkish citizens and
competitiveness of the Turkish economy.
• We successfully trained the contracting authority
team at our London offices where they learned the
principles of transport modelling. The visit was well
received by the client team and demonstrated our
continual commitment to true partnership.

of a centralised sewerage system for Kigali, using a
blend of international and local expertise to provide
advice on areas of risk and potential efficiency gains.
• We identified the technical challenges of connecting
dense areas to a modern sewerage system, and
explored shared communal sanitation solutions.
• We highlighted and analysed the benefits of
extending the sewerage network to regions of the
city where economic benefits may be higher.
• We delivered studies revealing affordability issues
within the proposed area, and assessed solutions
through cross subsidies and step tariff systems.

The government of Sri Lanka appointed us to
undertake a two-phase programme to help them
improve understanding of climate risk and develop a
long-term investment plan to mitigate floods and
drought risks; and to conduct a feasibility study of the
implementation of a number of urgent climate risk
mitigation interventions.
• The contract was commissioned in May 2016 and
we are already working with our client to achieve
the forecast completion date for Phase 2 is May
2019.
