with some restrictions.

• Payslips kept in ground floor office – payday is
27th of each month - payslips are only kept for one
month – they are then returned to Payroll.
• If your usual contact within Medical Education is
not available, please discuss with another
member of the team.

First time to log on must be via a hospital
computer which has been logged out by the
previous user :

• You can apply for one day of Study leave to complete the
modules – this will be monitored.
• Completion of all modules linked to the approval and
funding of study leave.

11. EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISORS
• All trainees are allocated an Educational
Supervisor.
• If contact details are not in your pack you will
be notified of this within the next few days.
• Please arrange to meet with your Educational
Supervisors within the first two-weeks.
12. SMART CARDS/NCRS CARDS
• We are currently only using smartcards in
certain areas at the Trust.
• Doctors on GP placements will require a
smartcard.
• The Trust is in the process of implementing –
a new system to replace IPM and other
patient information systems – smartcards will
be needed for this once it goes live.
• We will therefore be issuing smartcards to
those that do not currently have one.
13. SMART CARDS/NCRS CARDS
• Newly qualified trainees or anyone who has
not been previously issued with a smart card
will be required to visit the Workforce
Information Office (HR) to collect their card.
• Please email doreen.housden@ldh.nhs.uk to
arrange suitable time.
• Trainees already issued with smartcards will
have their existing cards updated remotely
and do not need to do anything.
14. ID PASSES
• ID passes to be collected from COMET today
• Passes MUST be worn at all times to enable
access to wards, departments and
accommodation
• Please note passes must be given back to
Security when you leave the Trust
15. CAR PARKING
• Very limited!
• Two non-resident staff car parks – Breast Screening &
Farringdon
• £1.20 per day
• Parking permits requested – completed forms have
been passed to Security and this information will be
linked to your ID Pass.
• When you receive your ID Pass you will need to load
funding onto your card to cover parking costs.
Machines situated just outside main entrance, at entry
to St. Marys car park and by the Boiler House car park.
• Machines take cash and cards
• Need ID pass to enter and exit car parks
16. SENIOR HOME CAR PARKING
• Those residing in Senior Home will need to
go to Security - with proof of residence -to
enable your card to be updated
• Your ID will then be linked to that car park
and will allow you free access
• You will be given an Orange Parking permit
