 Our world is lucky enough to happen to
witness several such scientists who have
given us several new finding which has made
our mother earth a better place to live in and
wilhelm conarad is one such eminent
personality whose discovery has rescued the
lives of many, Wilhelm has given a miraculous
contribution to the world of medical science
and that as brought a drastic change to this
field of x-rays.
 Wilhelm conard Roentgen, the first nobel
winner in physics was the first to produce x-
rays known as originally as roentgen rays.
Although many people had observed the
effect of X- ray become before , but roentgen
was the first one to study them systematically
to highlight the unknown nature of his
discovery, he called the X-rays.
 Wilhelm canard Roentge was born on march
27, 1845 in the small town of Lennep in
Germany, and he was the child of a Dutch
mother and a German father.
 Wilhelm conard Roentge was the only child of
clot merchant. He was raised in neither lands
because his family moved to apledoorn when
he was still three.
 For his early education he went to a boarding
school in Apeldoorn named, institute of
martinus herman van Doorn.
 He not a speaking student rather he was keenly
interested in nature during his young years.
 In 1862 he joined Ambach is school a technical
school in utrecht. There he got involved in a
contribution against on of is teacher and was
expelled subsequently.
 In 1865 he studied mechanical engineering at
the federal politechnic institute in Zurich, having
failed to get admission in university of Utrecht
lacking required credentials. There be flourshed
greatly under the influence of teachers like
Kundt and clausius.
 He graduated from the university of Zurich
and received his Ph.d in 1869.
 In the same year he assisted Kundt and
followed him to Wurzburg and then to the
university of strasburg in 1873.
It is important to mention that he declined
invitation for the chair of physics from the
universities of jena and Utrecht in 1886
and1888 respectively in 18899, he also
declined a similar offer from university of
Leipzig as well in later year.
 For decades he had been studying the effects of
electrical charge on the response and appeavance
of vaccum tube. The science of electricity was
still relatively new and there remained much to
understand. His set ups used relatively simple
components by todays standards.
 Generator known as a Ruhmkorff coil similar to
what sparks a car motor to start he was trying to
reproduce a fluorescent effect observed with
another type of vaccum tubecalled a Lenard tube.
 His discovery revolutionized the entire
medical profession and set foundation for
diagnostic radiology in 1901 Rentgen
received the first ever nobel prize in physics.
This was a true acknowledgment of his
remarkable discovery. Which was going to be
highly beneficial for mankind in the comeing
year.
 Roentge died on februvary 10, 1923 in
munich at the stage of 77.
 Wilhelm conard Rentgen is one such eminent
personality whose discovery has recused the
lives of many. His does not end with him
giving is life for his seminal work since he
used lead shielding.
 World famous scientist.
