This document contains two charts. The first chart shows the percentage of 17-20 year olds from different ethnicities and genders that do not meet the weight standards for the U.S. Army. Caucasian males have the lowest percentage at 17%, while Hispanic females have the highest at 55%. The second chart projects that by 2020, 33-53% of 18 year olds from different ethnicities and genders will not meet the body fat standards for military accession based on current obesity rate trends from the CDC.
