Application
i. I thought that it was necessary for us to actually use it
and have experience to do the test.
ii. This is because data is necessary to improve
practicality.

PHONE technology/apps that could be used
in a Aizuwakamatsu Smart City context?
i. It is an application that predicts the weather and
the mood in Aizu, and shows the traffic condition of
the time zone and the way to avoid congestion.

7. Explain the technology/smart city app and its
application in Aizu Smart City situation
i. I think that this technique is very useful considering that
Aizuwakamatsu is a sightseeing spot.
ii. This is because people in the sightseeing know the weather
condition and the traffic condition in real time makes it
easier to decide where to sightseeing.
iii. In addition, I can say the same thing for those living in Aizu
city, I think that it can be very effective.

important?
i. I think this application is very important for Aizu.
ii. This is because I think that knowing weather and
traffic information makes Aizu Wakamatsu easier to
spend than in the past and will develop in other
aspects as well.

would be able to use this technology?
i. I think that you can reduce traffic congestion by using
this technology,because in Aizu, when you go to school,
company or go home, the road is very crowded, so I think
that you can solve the traffic jam by using this
technology.

Aizuwakamatsu, considering the style of the city,
its population, the location, weather,
transportation system etc.?
i. The weather is easy to change in Aizuwakamatsu
city,therefore, I think that it is necessary to know the
change of the weather more quickly in Aizu.

a feel-good factor and why Aizu citizens might
like it?
i. The difference in weather is intense in Aizu. It is hot in
summer and cold in winter. So, I think that we are
seeking more accurate information faster.

are user-friendly?
i. The reason why I thought that this technology is user
friendly is that we can know the weather and traffic
information anytime anywhere in real time.

developing a connected smart city as in Aizu,
perhaps?
i. I think that the speedup of information transmission
contributes.
ii. In recent years, information has advanced and more up-
to-date information is now available. Therefore, you can
acquire the information you want to know immediately,
and use it for everyday life.

14. What could be one problem with the technology
and/or the product that might pose a problem when
used in the Aizu smart city connected context?
i. I think automatic driving is a problem.
ii. The reason is that Aizu snowed very much in winter. I
thought that there was a possibility that the car could
move unpredictably when snow was piled up.

15. What could be some of the usability techniques
that you could use to test the usability of the
technology?
i. I think that techniques that I think may be used are
experiences.
ii. This is because I thought that I can judge whether I can
use it by experiencing myself or not.
