Day 1 of production involved animating a walk cycle for a character on an iPad using Procreate. The assistant began by setting up the background and character design, true to the concept but cleaner for presentation. Frame-by-frame, the character was animated stepping forward and lifting its leg in a repeating cycle. Arm movements were also drawn changing through each frame. The cycle was duplicated around 50 times to get the desired movement distance, split across 3 documents due to Procreate's layer limit. An unfortunate mistake was realized at the end of the day, as the character's movement off the page wasn't considered. To fix this, some work will need to be deleted. A title scene was also started using Procreate, with the

thenhislegcrossingthe other,thenthat aboutto stepon the floor,thenthatlegnearlytouching
the floorand finallybothlegsonthe groundandthe cycle repeats,Ialso drew the arm movements
changingthroughouteachframe.I duplicatedthe cycle around50 timesinorderto getthe
character to move the distance Iwanted,Iendedupdoingthison 3 documentsdue the numberof
layersyoucan have in a procreate file,Iwill laterwhenthe animationisdone use Premiere Proto
editittogether.Afterfinishingupforthe day I realisedIhadmade mistake,Ihadn’t thoughtabout
the cut off whenthe character getsto the endof the page soI’m goingto have to delete some of the
workI’ve done inorderto set thisright,an unfortunate mistakeonmypart but I’mgladI spottedit
nowrather thanafter I’ve finishedit. Afterdoingthe walk cycle, I thoughtitwouldbe useful forme
to do a title scene soI againused to procreate onmy iPad,I startedwitha blankdocumentandthen
proceededtoaddthe black line asafterthe title disappearsthe characterwill walkintothe frame
and itwouldn’tmake anysense if theyjustwalkedoutontonothing. Ithenturned-onanimation
assist,I decidedtouse the texttool todo part of the title,Iaddeditby typingina new letterevery
frame to appearas thoughit wasbeingtypedontothe screen,Iusedthe font Eina01 and made the
fontaround103pt and keptitinthe centre. Ithen,to add a bitof flairIusedthe colour redon the
wordpanic andhandwrote it so it wouldstandoutand catch youeye.
