- 1. Web 2.0 Application Review The application I chose to review was Dropbox. Dropbox is a website that works like a flash drive. I had never heard of Dropbox until last semester when I was required to use it for another technology course. I think that Dropbox is a useful tool that could be used in the classroom quite a bit. All one has to do is login and upload a file to the website and it will be saved there. Dropbox can be accessed from a smartphone or on any computer that has Internet access. Dropbox is great for is someone is working on an assignment at home but also needs to access the same assignment from school or any other location besides their home. A way that it could promote collaboration would be if there was a group project assigned a group Dropbox account could be created. This way anyone in the group could have access to any documents that could be used in the final assignment. As previously stated, Dropbox could be used in the classroom by uploading assignments or documents to the application that a student would need to have access to at home as well.
