Some schools have even

routers to supply the
entire school with wireless
internet.
3. Schools are buying new
technology including
tablets and laptops that
they can loan to their
students to help with
projects and online
research.
Programs such as Skype,
Tumblr can help students
or inspire them in the
classroom by collaborating
with other students.
4. At Regis students such as myself, in a digital
photography class use websites such as
Tumblr to look for inspiration in their
photography.
A school in Iowa is using a program called
Mystery Skype to interact with other schools.

The web has become so important in schools. Students use it to take classes, research, and collaborate with one another. Schools are buying technology to aid there students in this online research, being that it is so much more convenient that endless searching in books.
Schools that are purchasing new technology that support web 2.0 technology. Students can access websites to help them research much easier. They can also use websites to help them collaborate with other students easier and cheaper than previous ways.
Tumblr Is used for students to look up pictures on a specific subject so they are inspired in their pictures. Mystery Skype is used for collaborating between two schools that are paired up in the process where they can learn about each others schools via webcam. Students get the idea of what school is like for other students outside their own school.
