This document discusses how technology can be used to address gender-based violence. It describes platforms like Ushahidi and OpenStreetMap that were used for crisis response after the 2010 Haiti earthquake. A Haitian-built platform called Noula.ht allows people to file reports about gender-based violence via SMS, phone calls or in-person, which are then routed to appropriate responders. The platform aims to provide rapid response, map data publicly and privately, raise awareness, direct resources, and support legal cases. It also discusses using sensors and innovation camps to address gender-based violence in Haiti.
