Always Ready – A Televised Life Jacket Wear CampaignNASBLA
This session will present recreational boating safety’s new 30-second life jacket TV commercial, Always Ready, scheduled for distribution on fishing programs this summer. The commercials are scheduled to broadcast more than 1,100 times on seven popular television networks including the Discovery Channel and the Outdoor Channel with a total audience of 238.1 million American households. Fishing is one of America’s most popular activities and anglers are one of boating’s most at-risk groups – in 2020 35.3% of fatal boating incidents occurred during fishing outings. The 30-second Always Ready commercials are supported by a longer web-based docu-mercial each reminding anglers to always wear a life jacket while boating. This short session will share the campaign’s creative content and early results. If time allows, additional Water Sports Foundation life jacket outreach materials will be presented encouraging attendees to use them freely!

Gut Editorial #3 of 3
By Shawn Alladio
We handle rough situations. Likewise we must be equipped to manage the stressors and dynamics of these evolving operations. This is not done with taking out one sequence in a solution.
Achievement for failure is a warranty of connective decisions. You must do better than this, especially if you are a Rescue Water Craft program manager.
When the shackles are set from an investigation of an in-service fatality or serious mishap, dismissals will be enabled that further dispel capability. The suspicion of instructors will be blamed for the failures, the student will bear guilt and shame. Programs will fail. The Rescue Water Craft will be blamed. The shut off switch will be blamed. The rescue board will be blamed. The wave will be blamed.
Rescue Water Craft Instructors must have a level of resourceful excellence that is expected from the carefully scripted words that define ‘standards’. The framework of standardization is a baseline status quo. If we as a Rescue Water Craft community seek the lowest denomination we encourage failure, if not we endorse it through mediocre action.
Our example matters.
Five people were saved by wearing a life jackets. We had an interview with them about their living experiences and inspiring thoughts. You can watch Tasuki in these movies with English subtitles on YouTube.

This training document is dedicated in Copter’s memory. Copter’s Race Rules represents professional responsibilities and standards of operation for Personal Water Craft competitors, teams and mentors professional development on the race track. Personal Water Craft competition is a high risk activity. This will require of competitors their full attention to ‘Wake No Harm’. It requires of competitors to study and evaluate track conditions, their equipment and to continually strive to control their powerful water craft and to develop the mindset and professional maturity to make effective decisions in a split moment’s notice. - Never Forget T99
