This document discusses Pakistan's water crisis and its effects. It notes that Pakistan is facing its worst water shortage in history. 5. Water crisis
 Water crises mean the scarce of water. It mean that the amount of water is
less than that of requirement. The scarce of water is occur due to wastages of
water, the using of water in bad way. Due to the scarce of water our live
facing to many problem
 Pakistan is at number 17 on the list of countries facing a water crisis. The
Pakistan council of research in water resources has written to the federal
Govt. stating that a grove crisis will emerge if immediate action is not taken.
 Water is the source of life but unfortunately, Pakistan is in the grip of its
shortage, which has disturb the whole national life.
 Pakistan according to experts is going through the worst water shortage of
history. The current shortage of water in Sindh and Baluchistan has shattered.
The economy as well as agriculture of the country. The direct impacts of
water crisis in Pakistan have reduced crop, range land, forest productivity and
water level. On the other hand, it has increased livestock, wildlife and human
beings mortality rates and damaged the wildlife and fish habitats.

7. CAUSES OF THE WATER CRISES
 Domestic wastage of water
 Less Plumbing System
 Shortage of rain fall.
 Seepage from stream, river, pipe lines etc.
 Due to deforestation.
 Due to climate change.
 The uses of water in bad way like the uses of water
in service station etc.

11. EFFECT OF THE WATER CRISISE ON THE FUTURE
GENERATIONOF PAKISTAN:
 Water crisis is one of the major issue of Pakistan
nowadays. Pakistan is most populated country so water
scarcity is a serious issue here. So in future due to water
crisis Pakistan new generation has facing bad effects.
There are some points of water crisis effects on the
future generation in Pakistan.

12. EFFECTON AGRICULTURE SECTOR:
 Agriculture sector is the backbone of our economy.
But the growth of our economy. But the growth of
agriculture in Pakistan is facing a lot of problems.
Due to various causes per acre yield is very low in
Pakistan as compare to other developed countries.
And it effects our future generation

14. DROUGHT:
 Experts say that 70% of world water is used in agriculture. So
water shortage will result in no agriculture and finally no food to
eat. If the water concentration is low then many of our productive
land would be turned barren. Drought in Pakistan has become a
frequent phenomenon in the country. The drought of 1998-2002 is
considered worst in 50 years. According to a report issued by the
economic survey of Pakistan, the drought is one of the factors
responsible for poor growth performance. Baluchistan especially
the western and central parts of the province remain in the grip of
drought almost all year round. Drought in the country is common
if the monsoon season fails to deliver rains then drought emerges.

16. WATER SHORTAGELEADINGTO DEFORESTATION:
 Deforestation has increased in past few years due to lack of fertile
land, cutting of tree, water shortage and climate change for which
number of steps were needed to be taken for protecting the
national asset for the generation to come. Pakistan is among the
top ten countries most affected by water shortage and it is
national obligation of every citizen to contribute his share to help
increase the forest cover of our country. And it will be the major
issue for the future generation.

18. DRINKING WATER:
 Most of the rural and urban water is supplied from
ground water through tube wells and hand pumps. Net
consumption is normally about 2% of the total water
available. Due to the shortage of water the water will
not available even for drinking.

20. SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICITY:
 Load shedding is one of the serious problems of
Pakistan. Due to the low level of water in dams the dam
is not able to produce sufficient electricity.

22. THE EFFECT OF WATER CRISES ON CIVILENGINEERING
PROJECTS:
 As we know that water is very important for civil
engineering projects. The water is used in hydration of
cement to make cement past as a binding material. The
water cement ratio 0.5. And the water is used for curing
purpose. If the water is unavailable than we cannot
construct any civil engineering projects.

23. DIAMIR-BHASHADAM
 Diamer-Bhasha Dam is a gravity dam in the preliminary
stages of construction on the river Indus in Gilgit-
Baltistan Pakistan
 Its foundation stone was laid by prime Minister Yusuf
Raza Gilani of Pakistan on 18 0ctober 2011
 Upon completion Diamer-Bhasha Dam would be the
highest RCC dam in the world
 The dam site is situated near a place called ‘’Bhasha’’ in
Giligit-Baltistan’s Diamer District name.

24. Mohmand Dam Introduction
 Is a proposed multi-purpose concrete-faced rock-
filled dam located on the Swat River approximately 37
km north of Peshawar and 5 km upstream of Munda
Headworks in Mohmand District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,
Pakistan.

25. Conclusion:
 As we study about the importance of water in different field like in
Civil Engineering projects, Agriculture, for drinking purpose, as
coolant in automobiles in industries etc. As we study that now a day
Pakistan is facing eater crises problem as well as in future. Due to the
crises of water global warming, shortage of rainfall, deforestation,
climate change and many other problem will faced in future. The
causes of the water effect of water is wastage in bad way. If we want
control the water crises in Pakistan now need to use the water in
proper way and control the eater wastages in bad way. The
government need to make more and more dams, reservoir, canal etc
to store the water and control the water crises in future.
