This document announces an art exhibition called "The Senses" that will be held from May 7-13, 2016 across 4 locations in Barnsley, England. The annual exhibition showcases art from members of the local dementia community and their experiences of living with dementia. People affected by dementia who want to get involved can contact the provided email or phone number. For the first time, there will also be a sister exhibition in June 2016 in Detroit, Michigan that will exchange artworks between the two dementia communities in South Yorkshire and Detroit.

This 8th exhibition offers members of South
Yorkshire’s dementia community an annual
opportunity to showcase their talents and share their
experiences of life lived with dementia. If you’re

For the first time the South Yorkshire Dementia
Creative Exhibition has a sister exhibition in the
USA which will take place in June 2016. Our friends
in Detroit, including a number of artists affected
by dementia, will have their work displayed in
Barnsley. In exchange, they have offered to show work
created by people in South Yorkshire at the Detroit
Exhibition.
