Death Statistics and Challenge of SNS
Challenge
 Many other Organizations like NGOs, Private
organization and Govt. Health department have been
providing free health services in the WASH4UP DNCC
project area.
 Sometimes Cardholders returning from hospital
without getting service.
 Lake of necessary cooperation from Zone and Ward
office of DNCC.
 Misconceptions of people in low income community
regarding insurance.
 Waste and sanitation workers and Low income
community peoples are less interested for taking the
SNS service by paying insurance premium of Taka
199.

• Political Unrest
• Land scarcity for hardware construction
• Water crisis at Mohakhali area (Especially Earshad Nagar Bosti)
• New Govt.VAT & TAX Rules
• Delay of finalization of different guidelines by WAB (Hygiene, WASH Fund etc)
• Less willingness of health card holders for renewal.
• Lack of willingness to get health card by BDT199 due to existing free health
services in working area.
• Targeted activities have been started in late due to delay of project agreement
signing.
• To achieve beneficiaries as per target for each facilities.

  • 9. Death Statistics and Challenge of SNS Challenge  Many other Organizations like NGOs, Private organization and Govt. Health department have been providing free health services in the WASH4UP DNCC project area.  Sometimes Cardholders returning from hospital without getting service.  Lake of necessary cooperation from Zone and Ward office of DNCC.  Misconceptions of people in low income community regarding insurance.  Waste and sanitation workers and Low income community peoples are less interested for taking the SNS service by paying insurance premium of Taka 199.
