Atlantis was a legendary island first mentioned by Plato, described as a powerful naval empire located in front of the Pillars of Hercules that conquered parts of Europe and Africa until it sank into the sea 9,600 years ago. While scholars debate whether Plato's account was based on real events, the story of Atlantis has inspired many works of fiction. Some evidence has been found that a sunken island like Spartel Island in the Strait of Gibraltar could have inspired the story of Atlantis. If Atlantis did exist, it likely would have been located on the Arabian tectonic plate and could not have sunk below the earth's crust, making human survival there impossible.

Atlantis in Java Sea (Conference Paper)Dhani Irwanto
Summary
After thousands of years, so many of us still search for the answer to the mystery of Atlantis. From time to time, archaeologists and historians locate evidence. There have been many locations proposed for the location of Atlantis. Ever since the first recorded history of Atlantis, written by the Greek philosopher Plato over 2,300 years ago, debate has raged as to whether or not Atlantis ever really existed.
The existence of Atlantis is supported by the fact that it is described in great details by Plato. In additions, various conditions, events and goods unknown to Plato are also described in detailed and lengthy words. The recent knowledge of late glacial and postglacial sea level rise and land subsidence that occurred almost precisely at the time described by Plato also becomes strong evidence to the truth of the story.
Plato describes the Atlantis from point of views of geography, climate, plain layout, city layout, river and channel hydraulics, produces, social structure, customs, mythology and its destruction in details including their dimensions and orientations. These become the subjects of the author to hypothesize that the lost city of Atlantis is in Java Sea, as written in a book “Atlantis: The lost city is in Java Sea”, published in April 2015. The works include over 5-year research and analysis of textbooks, papers, internet sites and digital data collected by the author as well as some site observations.
The author has made a serious effort to match Plato’s narrative with his chosen location for Atlantis, namely off the southern coast of the island of Kalimantan in the Java Sea. He also uses his professional expertise to analyse Plato’s many references to the waterways of the Atlantis capital and its extensive plain. He commendably draws attention to the remarkable water transportation and irrigation system in Central Kalimantan. He also includes a number of maps used to support his views.
He found a lot more detailed evidence, summarized in a 60-bullet checklist of agreements between Plato’s Atlantis and Sundaland/Java Sea localization, as proofs that his theory is the most complete and accurate until today.

For as long as I can remember I have been interested in the myth of the lost continent
Atlantis, which Plato wrote about. Atlantis was an extensive insular continent that sunk into
the sea and disappeared without a trace. Its inhabitants had developed an exceptionally high
standard of civilisation. Where it was located we probably never will know for sure but many serious investigators think that it might very well be the former Santorini. For many years I also dreamt about visiting Santorini and two years ago my dream came true. The history of this island really intrigued me and its beauty and grandeur are unparalleled. Awe mixed with fear is what I felt when I stood on top of a huge cliff and looked down at the volcano and the caldera. I was standing on historical ground and I got a strong feeling that here I had found the lost Atlantis!

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Was atlantis real and if you were did
1. By :Abi .Gaver Was Atlantis real and if do were did it go ?
2. What is Atlantis ? Atlantis (in Greek, "island of Atlas") is a legendary island first mentioned by Plato In Plato's account, Atlantis was a naval power lying "in front of the Pillars of Hercules" that conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa 9,000 years before the time of Solon or approximately 9600 BC. After a failed attempt to invade Athens Atlantis sank into the ocean "in a single day and night of misfortune". Scholars dispute whether and how much Plato's story or account was inspired by older traditions. Some scholars argue Plato drew upon memories of past events such as the Thera eruption or the Trojan War , while others insist that he took inspiration from contemporary events like the destruction of Heike in 373 BC or the failed Athenian invasion of Sicily in 415–413 BC. The possible existence of a genuine Atlantis was discussed throughout classical antiquity but it was usually rejected and occasionally parodied by later authors. As Alan Cameron states: "It is only in modern times that people have taken the Atlantis story seriously; no one did so in antiquity". While little known during the Middle Ages, the story of Atlantis was rediscovered by Humanists in the Early Modern period. Plato's description inspired the utopian works of several Renaissance writers, like Francis Bacon's "New Atlantis". Atlantis inspires today's literature, from science fiction to comic books to films, its name having become a byword for any and all supposed advanced prehistoric lost civilizations.
3. Was Atlantis a part of Pangaea ? These were the great continents of civilizations. Pangaea, Lemuria and Atlantis all three-were a part of the original landmass. They were interactive with each other. The oldest civilization that became highly advanced and technical was Atlantis. Its boundaries were the southern hemisphere of the globe. Lemuria was basically the Pacific Ocean areas, extending far into the northern hemisphere beyond Japan and China. When Atlantis sank, her technologies and much of her information was taken to Lemuria. The next great civilization was that of Pangaea, approximately 18 million years ago it began. The civilization of Lemuria lasted up until approximately 50,000 years ago, when darkness overtook it, and it sank.

5. Is there evidence of Atlantis ? Pyramid explored by Dr. Ray Brown on the sea floor off the Bahamas in 1970. Brown was accompanied by 4 divers who also found roads, domes, rectangular buildings, unidentified metallic instruments, and a statue holding a "mysterious" crystal containing miniature pyramids. The metal devices and crystals were taken to Florida for analysis at a university there. What was discovered was that the crystal amplified energy that passed through it. It is made in a method unknown to the scientists who analyzed it. It was found in a mysteriously lit up chamber inside the underwater pyramid with some kind of ray gun like instrument pointed at it. Kirlian photographs, which record impressions beyond our limited range of vision, showed an eye inside the crystal not visible to the naked eye.
6. What tectonic plate would Atlantis be located on ? On August 15, 2005 A submerged island that could be the source of the Atlantis myth was hit by a large earthquake and tsunami 12,000 years ago, a geologist has discovered. Spartel Island now lies 60m under the sea in the Straits of Gibraltar, but some think it once lay above water. The finding adds weight to a hypothesis that the island could have inspired the legend recounted by the philosopher Plato more than 2,000 years ago. Evidence comes from a seafloor survey published in the Geology journal . They also say that it was probably located on the Arabian plate.

8. Is Atlantis under the earths crust ? Is it possible ? It would be very impossible for a tectonic plate to sink below the oceanic crust or continental crust . If Atlantis did exist it could not go under the crust because the mantle is to hard for a whole continent to break through the upper mantle .People could not survive under the crust there would not be enough oxygen and the temperature would be to great .It would take about 500 years or so for human beings to even adapt to the lack of oxygen . We don’t really know if people could be living on Atlantis .
