- There are 6 billion people on earth 1 billion at Western world standard 2 billion at 3-electric fire level And 3 billion at the 200 W level. We know that current energy use (based mainly on C fuels) is overwhelming the atmosphere – so we cannot sustain an increase in energy use! If everyone were to get the same level of energy resource, then the western world would have to cut energy consumption by at least half!!
